Chapter 2 - 2 Second Confession

A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER

Su-hee stared at the most popular man in the Arts Department, Ahn Jae-hae. Sun-ae and Yeon-min walked behind Su-hee without realizing how excited Su-hee was.

"Hey Jae-hae!" Sun-ae said nonchalantly.

Jae-hae turned his head and nodded with a bright smile. They were in the same departments.

Su-hee raised her shoulders and skipped toward Jae-hae.

"I like you!" she confessed. Please reject! You'll definitely reject it, you ogre!

Sun-ae and Jae-hae widened their eyes and looked at her. Jae-hae chuckled nervously before poking her head back.

"Ah!"

"What's wrong with you? You literally told me before you'd never date me because I look like an ogre…" Jae-hae teased.

"Yah! You don't need to poke my head that hard!" Su-hee snapped.

Jae-hae laughed and tilted his head.

"There's already a red mark on your forehead."

"Aish!" Su-hee gritted her teeth like a chihuahua.

Jae-hae laughed and patted her head. She shook his hand away and grabbed Sun-ae's arm.

"That's two then…" Sun-ae groaned.

Su-hee smiled happily and rubbed her cheek against Sun-ae's arm.

"One more!" she cheered.

Jae-hae sighed in relief that Su-hee was normal. Then his eye caught a glimpse of Yeon-min, unable to look away. He gasped, catching their attention. He noticed their gazes and covered his mouth, blushing.

"Hm… my apologies, ladies," he stated, then he turned away. That was so embarrassing.

Sun-ae squinted her eyes at his back, and then she looked at Yeon-min. Hey, Yeon-min is definitely Jae-hae's type! She smirked.

"Su-hee, let's go find the third guy together! Yeon-min, we will come back! Take care of Yeon-min for us, Jae-hae!" Sun-ae yelled.

Su-hee pushed Sun-ae away.

"What do you mean? Yeon-min—"

"Bye, Yeon-min!" Sun-ae added, covering Su-hee's mouth with her entire palm.

Su-hee slapped Sun-ae's hand away and barked.

"Why did you do that?"

"My little Su-hee… you need to learn about romance more…"

"I already learned it. In fact, I learned that men are crappy!" she frowned, blowing a raspberry.

A memory jolted into Sun-ae's mind as she covered her lips.

"Oh…" she muttered. Shit, I forgot about that piece of shit that hurt you. "You're right. My little Su-hee!"

She hugged Su-hee's neck really tightly.

Su-hee smiled faintly before her eyes drooped. I wonder how that asshole is doing… he's always leaving something behind during our anniversary. I shouldn't even be thinking about him right now!

Sun-ae and Su-hee hurried to the library together as Su-hee thought of her next and final person to confess.

Meanwhile—

"Isn't that the one who dared to confess to Da-hyun?"

"Daebak! And then she cheered like she wanted him to reject her!"

The girls gossiped and laughed without realizing that many other students were listening and watching, especially the Computer Science hottie, Jang Jun-tae. He perked his head back and stared at Su-hee, who pulled out her phone to check the student directory. She pointed at her phone and looked at Sun-ae.

"Is he famous?"

"Yah! Are you crazy?! He's a famous Playboy. He is a big no!"

Su-hee pouted and scrolled through more. Jun-tae watched her carefully and smirked.

"Omo! I just heard that she asked Jae-hae!"

"How bold! Is she targeting the department's hotties?!"

Jun-tae smiled and leaned his head back. His friend, Lee Won-woo, glanced at him and paused.

"Why are you smiling?" Won-woo asked.

"I… just heard something absurd," Jun-tae chuckled.

Won-woo nodded awkwardly and sat beside him.

"Well, explain this concept to me…"

Just then—

"Oh! HIM! Computer Science's hottie!" Su-hee shouted.

The library went silent, and all eyes darted at her. She squeaked and looked around, flushing. She covered her mouth and bowed.

"Shh!"

"Sorry…" she whispered, sitting back down.

Sun-ae turned red, holding her laugh. She grabbed Su-hee's hand.

"You gotta calm down…" she covered her mouth.

Su-hee glared at Sun-ae and pulled Sun-ae away from her face. She slumped into the chair, raising her shoulder to hide herself.

"Whatever… my next target is the Computer Science hottie…"

Sun-ae leaned closer and smirked.

"And how do you know this 'Computer Science hottie' will reject you?"

Su-hee squinted her eyes and looked at the photo. Then she showed the photo to Sun-ae.

"Because… he's rumored to reject every girl since high school… Jang Jun-tae!" she smiled, proud of her picks.

Sun-ae groaned, pushing the phone to the side.

"Are you serious? I heard that he hates girls… like he pushed some girls to the ground when the girls just confessed to him. He's rude and acts like a rich snob… pick someone else—"

"The shitter the person is, the better!" Su-hee chimed. "Because he will reject me, too!"

Sun-ae's face turned pale as her mind found the logic… illogical.

"What…? How damaged is your brain? It's supposed to be 'the shittier the person is, you run'...."

Su-hee beamed and rested her head on her hands after closing her phone. She stared at Sun-ae.

"After this last confession, I will have alcohol for life. Thanks to you! So be ready," Su-hee said.

Sun-ae rolled her eyes, smiling at Su-hee's unbelievability.

Meanwhile, Jun-tae smiled by the window, staring at Su-hee. So she's planning to confess to me, even though she seems to enjoy rejection. Is she really trying to confess, or is it something else?

"I'll just mess with her when she 'confess' then…" he muttered.

Jun-tae packed his backpack and walked out of the library with Won-woo. Won-woo looked up.

"Hee-wan, what's up?"

"Oh, I didn't expect you guys to be here… Why didn't you two tell me that you were studying together?" Hee-wan asked.

Jun-tae scoffed.

"Why do I need to tell you?" Jun-tae questioned.

Hee-wan smiled awkwardly and scratched the back of his head.

"Look, Jun-tae… I just wanted to study with you two… Don't take my request as something personal," Hee-wan replied.

"I think you're overthinking my question. You were too busy, fixing your body… obviously, we did tell you, but you rejected it," Jun-tae deflected.

Hee-wan sneered, nodding.

"You're right. I rejected it… My bad, I changed my mind," Hee-wan responded.

Then another friend from behind slapped Hee-wan's back.

"Yo, did you hear? That crazy Su-hee confessed to Jae-hae earlier!" the friend stated.

"What? Why would she? They are close friends who would never—" Hee-wan flustered.

"Duh, because she wants to get rejected! I heard that she got excited that Da-hyun rejected her… now Da-hyun is dying to know what kind of a girl she is," the friend added.

Hee-wan frowned, darker than ever. Jun-tae observed Hee-wan's face and smirked.

"What's wrong? Do you know this Su-hee?" Jun-tae asked curiously.

Hee-wan turned to him, sighing heavily.

"I… don't, but I would love to. I heard that she came to the library," Hee-wan answered.

Jun-tae slyly grinned. He likes this Lee Su-hee? What a stroke of luck for me. This time, I get to repay him for what this bastard did to me.
