Cherreads

Chapter 7 - 7 Dating? "Dating"

Su-hee wiped her tears, sniffing before she turned away.

Jun-tae's hand stood in the air. What just happened? That bastard Hee-wan said she likes cherry blossom— His jaw tightened. That fucking bastard!

Su-hee stomped away as fast as she could before—she clashed into someone who spilled coffee on her. She gasped and looked at her stained shirt, sobbing.

He hurried to her side, throwing his jacket to cover her head.

"I'm sorry…" the person apologized.

"It's okay…" Jun-tae responded politely. Then he guided her back to the car as she cried underneath his jacket. He buckled her seatbelt before heading to the driver's side. Once he sat on the seat, he looked at her and waited for her.

She closed the gap in the jacket and continued to sniffle. Jun-tae looked at her lap, watching each teardrop dripping. He sighed and leaned on the steering wheel.

"Just drive… get me out of here!" she demanded in a hoarse voice.

"Okay…" he responded kindly. Then he started the engine and drove away. He drove around until he stopped by his complex.

Su-hee rubbed her nose and peeped through the narrow gap.

"Where are we?"

"At my complex…"

"Why?! Take me home!" she demanded.

"We need to talk—"

"I don't want to talk to you, you snob!" she yelled.

He chuckled, grabbing his steering wheel.

"Since when am I a snob?"

"I'm not trying to be funny!" she shouted, pulling his jacket down. They locked eyes. "Stop lying to me and let me go home!"

"But I really do want to talk to you…" he admitted.

She frowned, pausing. She thought and thought…

"No!" she answered. Then she covered herself again.

He laughed and gently grabbed her hand. He opened the jacket and looked at her.

"I'm sorry… I didn't know you would hate that place," he whispered without a tease.

She lowered her guard and put her hands down.

"I don't hate it… I just hate the memories that I have…" she mumbled.

Jun-tae held her hand tightly and sighed.

"Still… I didn't mean to hurt you… I just heard that you like that kind of place, but I guess I got the wrong information," Jun-tae revealed.

Su-hee furrowed her brows, looking at him.

"What? Who?" she wondered.

"Just someone… I'm glad to know that I can't trust that person even more now," he smiled.

She huffed and glared at him.

"I need to change… why did you bring me to your place?" she grumbled, knowing he wouldn't tell her everything.

"You can wear my shirt because I'm your boyfriend," he chimed.

Her face cringed at the words.

"Do you always act like this? Corny and annoying?" she asked.

He laughed and shrugged.

"I'm not sure, but can we go upstairs and talk?" he questioned calmly.

Her eyes squinted.

"Why? What are you up to—?"

"I just want to ask you some questions, so don't worry. I won't take advantage of you… unless you're the one that is taking advantage of me—"

"Why would I take advantage of you?! I'm weaker than you!"

"Well, you did take advantage of me… you confessed when you really didn't like me…" he said, faking a cry.

She scowled at him. She groaned and crossed her arms, looking at the window.

"Fine… let's go upstairs and talk…"

Jun-tae smiled and jumped out of the car to her side. He opened the door for her before tossing the key to the valet. Su-hee looked at the valet, who took the key and drove the car off.

"The elevator is to the right," he guided.

Su-hee observed the complex and then looked at him. What the hell? Is he really a rich snob like what Sun-ae said?!

"Are you… an heir to any company?" Su-hee asked without thinking.

Jun-tae's finger twitched as he reached to press the elevator button. He nervously chuckled and looked at her.

"Why? If I am, will you like me more?" he teased.

She gagged, rolling her eyes.

"You troll…" she mumbled.

He laughed and pressed the button. As the elevator came down, he grabbed her neck and smiled.

"Do you want to talk about it before you clean yourself or after?" he asked.

"After…"

He nodded, and then the elevator opened. They entered the elevator. He clicked his floor number—50th floor. Her eyes widened as she looked at the number, then at him.

"Yes?"

"50? The last one?!"

He giggled and leaned closer to her face.

"Do I look handsome now that I could be rich?"

She pushed his head away and averted her gaze.

"Stop messing around!"

He laughed and held her hand.

While the elevator went up to the fiftieth floor, Su-hee realized that he was still holding her hand. She began flushing, holding her breath. Why is he holding my hand? I'm not a child…

DING.

Jun-tae pulled her out of the elevator and headed to his room. Then he reached into his pocket and scanned his key. He opened the door and let her walk in first. She observed the entrance and gasped.

"What the… entire world is this rich snobby troll's place?"

Jun-tae smiled at her and handed her house slippers.

"These are the smallest that I have…" he stated.

She looked down and slipped her feet on without a word. Then he got up and walked into a room. Five minutes later, he returned with a stack of clothes.

"What—?"

"These are clothes for you to change into… then after that, let's talk…"

"About…?"

"Dating."
