Jun-tae shook the Yakult, peeling back the lid. Then he gulped the entire drink and exhaled in pleasure.
"Ah… my favorite… Matcha Yakult," he stated. Su-hee looked at him in horror. He smiled and leaned closer to her face. "I like you, too… Let's date!"
Everyone's jaws dropped, gazes fixating on him. Su-hee covered her mouth, flushing.
"W-What?! Wait, no—"
"What do you mean no?" he questioned. Then he placed his hand on his chest with the container, while his other hand was by his eye with a fake tear streaming down. "Are you saying that you just faked your confession and that you're rejecting me?"
Everyone gasped and darted their glares at Su-hee. She squeaked, her eyes widening as she looked around.
"Wh-what! No! That's not what I mean…" she chuckled awkwardly. She glanced at Sun-ae, begging for her help with her eyes.
Sun-ae furrowed her brows and pondered. She smiled widely and clapped her hands.
"Do you really like my little Su-hee?" Sun-ae questioned, seething with anger on the inside. You better say no, you rich snob!
Jun-tae turned his gaze to Sun-ae and smiled warmly.
"How can I not? She's adorably funny," he replied.
The answer and smile were too bright for Sun-ae. Her eyes burned so that she had to look away.
"Su-hee… I can't!"
Su-hee bit her lower lip, raising her hands.
"Hmm… I… don't even know your name and the color that you like…" she flustered. A thought came to her head. "How about we become friends instead?"
"You just told me that you like me… didn't you all hear her say that?" Jun-tae asked, pointing at everyone to answer.
"Yes…" everyone nodded like bobbleheads.
Su-hee gulped, waving her hands.
"I… it was just a joke—"
"Are you insane? If you die now, you die alone… you chose him. Go along with it and break up with him tomorrow," Sun-ae whispered to Su-hee's ear, covering Su-hee's mouth.
Su-hee pushed Sun-ae's hand away and frowned.
"You're insane! He's insane, too!" Su-hee shouted.
Won-woo chuckled, shaking his head. Jun-tae smirked and grabbed her hand, pulling her. She held her breath and blushed.
"I am… for you," he teased.
Su-hee exhaled loudly, her heart racing.
"I…"
"So, what do you say? Lee Su-hee, let's date?" he asked again.
She bit her lower lip, eyes piercing through her skin like a prey. Just like Sun-ae said… Date now, breakup tomorrow! She inhaled before locking eyes with him.
"Okay. Let's date!" she answered.
His grin stretched, closing the gap between their lips. Everyone widened their eyes, taking a step back. Hee-wan glared at Jun-tae, clutching his bag tightly.
"Give me your katalk, and let's meet up this weekend," Jun-tae said. He released her hand, allowing her to grab her phone.
The moment she pulled her phone out while glaring at him for cornering her, she accidentally tossed her phone too hard.
"Huh! No—" she shouted.
Jun-tae grabbed her phone and observed her, hoping he had impressed her. She frowned. Heh, she looks like a puppy, refusing to be pleased. He laughed a little.
She snatched her phone back and unlocked the screen. She pressed on the katalk app and showed him her code. He pulled out his phone and scanned it. She looked at the profile picture—
"What is this photo?" she asked.
Sun-ae leaned inward to look at it.
"Is that a Pomorean?" Sun-ae chimed.
Jun-tae smiled.
"I love dogs… small ones," he explained.
Sun-ae laughed hysterically, slapping Su-hee's back.
"Like you! You act like a chihuahua!"
Won-woo blew a raspberry, withholding his laugh as he slapped Jun-tae's back.
"Bro, you're freaken hilarious!" he commented.
"They're a perfect match made by Heaven!" Sun-ae chimed.
Won-woo laughed so much that his stomach began hurting. Who is this gal? She's so fucking hilarious! He wiped his tears from cackling too much. As his vision cleared enough, he looked at Sun-ae carefully, and flowers began to appear around her.
"Wow… she's also beautiful when she laughs…" Won-woo blushed.
Su-hee took a deep breath, averting her eyes from Jun-tae. Why do I feel like he did this on purpose?
Jun-tae stared at her and smiled. Then he suddenly grabbed his left bicep.
"You know… I heard you yelled at Ahn Jae-hae to beat us up. I was quite hurt," he complained. Su-hee's mouth dropped. She gazed at him with shock. "Did you have to say such hurtful things?"
"Wh-what? That… Wait, that was just a joke!" Su-hee deflected.
"He was so aggressive because of what you said… I used to play against him, and he had never played that aggressively before," Jun-tae added.
"Yah, it's my first time attending this kind of event… I was just cheering for Ogre," she argued, forgetting that she was talking to someone new for the first time.
Everyone's eyes widened and stared at her with confusion.
"Ogre? Who's the ogre?" a friend from behind whispered.
"Wait… did she just call Ahn Jae-hae an ogre?" Won-woo asked.
Su-hee flushed when she realized they all heard her. She clenched her fists and glared at Jun-tae, who was still shocked.
"If… he's an ogre, then what am I to you?" Jun-tae asked, almost crying.
"A troll! Goodbye!" she shouted, then she turned away, escaping from the hallway.
Sun-ae gasped when she looked at them before following Su-hee back to the apartment.
Jun-tae grinned, watching Su-hee fluster away and enjoying every second. Cute.
