Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: 666, I'm Not Interrupting Your Long Wind-Up, Do You Think This Is a Novel?

Watching the fleeing Goblins, Jona Velli's mouth corners curled up into a wide, malicious smile.

A blue-white linear Frost Breath shot out, and the Goblin Squad Leader was frozen solid before it could even scream.

Jona Velli turned her dragon head and began to think of a plan.

She wasn't planning to charge in recklessly; instead, she intended to wait until after dark to ambush these Goblins while they rested.

She had just scanned with her perception and sensed at least over a hundred Goblins inside, most at the Black Iron realm, a few at the bronze realm, but there was one Goblin Shaman who had reached the Silver One Ring, and one Goblin Chief who had reached the Silver Four Ring.

Although it wouldn't be difficult for her to eliminate all these Goblins, she still adhered to the principle of caution above all.

She didn't have the prideful mentality of Red Dragons or Blue Dragons. Even if she could defeat that group of Goblins head-on, could she guarantee not getting injured? Could she guarantee not startling them and letting some Goblins escape with her adorable treasures?

Jona Velli didn't know why, but when she saw those shiny treasures, she couldn't tear her eyes away; her body's instincts drove her to claim everything as her own.

Thinking of this, the White Fledgling Dragon couldn't help but reveal a silly grin.

Gradually, darkness fell, stars dotted the night sky, and a jade disc hung high in the night curtain.

The Goblins, having engaged in reproductive activities all day, were too exhausted to move, lying haphazardly in the cave.

Two Goblin guards on duty at the cave entrance looked enviously at the resting Goblins below.

Suddenly, a sense of danger struck them, but before they could figure out what it was, a blue-white linear breath had already taken their lives.

A White Fledgling Dragon poked her dragon head out from the cave entrance and, without hesitation, unleashed a maximum-power Frost Breath at the resting Goblin Shaman in the distance.

A linear breath ray shot from her dragon mouth, striking the Goblin Shaman in an instant. Terrifying frost power eroded its entire body, snatching its life away in moments.

Jona Velli had already known the distribution of these Goblins through her perception. After instantly killing the Goblin Shaman, she spread her dragon wings and flew into the cave.

A fan-shaped Frost Breath poured down. The resting Goblins were awakened by the piercing cold, and just as they saw the white figure flying in the air, they turned into ice sculptures.

"Gah gah gah gah gah!!"

The Goblins fell into chaos, scurrying around like ants on a hot pan, with some even bumping into walls and fainting.

Jona Velli didn't care at all about the lives of these humanoid creatures. She opened her dragon mouth and swept the area with her breath, aiming to eliminate as many Goblins as possible before the Goblin Chief emerged, reducing their overall combat strength.

"Gah aah!!"

A rough, sharp howl sounded as a Goblin Chief, more robust than the other Goblins, ran out from the innermost cave, with a broadsword strapped to its back—clearly looted from an Adventurer.

But upon seeing what creature it was, its yellowish-brown pupils showed obvious fear.

Jona Velli turned her dragon head, spraying a fan-shaped Frost Breath at the Goblin King. The Goblin Chief hastily raised its arms to block the attack.

Just as Jona Velli was about to continue, the Goblin Chief spoke in broken continental common tongue.

"St... strong dragon, why... why are you... attacking... us."

But as soon as it finished speaking, the Goblin Chief regretted it. It had heard from other Goblins that White Dragons' intelligence was, well, understood by all. The other party's attack was likely just out of pure interest, so asking was pointless.

Jona Velli was taken aback; she hadn't expected this Goblin to have developed basic intelligence.

But soon, she slightly parted her dragon mouth, landed on the ground, raised her dragon head high, and looked disdainfully at the Goblin Chief.

Her White Dragon claw lifted, hooking a dragon finger.

"Want to know? Come here, and I'll tell you, you scum."

Hearing the White Dragon speak continental common tongue, the Goblin Chief's face showed shock.

Wasn't it said that White Dragons had questionable intelligence? Wasn't it said that White Dragons were just idiots? How could this White Dragon communicate normally? Never again would it listen to others' one-sided words.

The Goblin Chief hurriedly trotted up to the White Dragon; for it, avoiding a fight was best avoided if possible.

After all, their clan had already produced a special Goblin like it with higher intelligence than ordinary Goblins, so minimizing consumption was a priority.

Running up to the White Dragon, the Goblin Chief hadn't even had time to lift its head when it heard a triumphant voice.

"Eat shit, you!"

A sound of breaking air came, and as it lifted its head, it saw a White Dragon claw slamming down.

In a hurry, the Goblin Chief raised its arms, barely catching the blow, but the ground beneath it shattered, and its lower body was pressed into the earth.

"Wow, impressive, you're still not dead after that."

Jona Velli looked slightly surprised at the Goblin Chief pinned under her single claw, not expecting it to have caught the blow like that.

At this moment, the Goblin Chief was in great discomfort; the dragon's formidable strength made it feel as if its entire body was about to be shaken apart.

It roared with eyes wide in fury.

"Shameless!!! I... will... not let this go!"

After speaking, it erupted with all its strength, pushing hard to lift Jona Velli's dragon claw away.

That wasn't all; under Jona Velli's slightly surprised gaze, the Goblin Chief's body glowed with red blood aura, its yellowish-brown eyes turning crimson from blood congestion.

"This is... a Power Surge!"

Crystal-blue dragon eyes flashed with shock, and broken continental common tongue came again.

"I... just wanted to... peacefully grow the clan... so my people could... have a place to settle, what have I..."

"Gah gah!!"

"Gah gah gah gah!!"

The remaining Goblins cheered excitedly, cheering on the Goblin Chief.

"So noisy... what are these filthy lowlifes making a fuss about?"

A Little Fairy trapped in a stone cage groggily opened its eyes, seeing the cheering Goblins, the tall White Dragon, and the Goblin Chief in the midst of a Power Surge.

A powerful Frost Breath shot out, a formidable attack unleashed without reservation onto the Goblin Chief's body. The Goblin Chief, hit head-on, was sent flying backward, crashing into the stone wall.

The linear Frost Breath, imbued with terrifying power, froze the Goblin Chief into an ice sculpture. The piercing cold had long since congealed its flesh, tissues, and cells.

Looking at the instantly killed chief, the scene fell into an eerie silence. Jona Velli snorted white frost from her nostrils.

"666, such a long wind-up and I didn't interrupt—did you think I was an NPC? You've read too many novels."

After the quip, Jona Velli proceeded to slaughter the remaining Goblins.

She still had four-tenths of her mana left, more than enough to finish this battle.
