Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Little Paparazzo Secretly Following

A crimson dragon claw pressed down on Jona Velli's dragon head, her tone unfriendly.

"Tell me, where did you get these silver coins and copper coins?"

Jona Velli quickly recovered and feigned a look of innocence.

"Awoo~ Awoo~"

Looking at this foolish display, Friel fell silent. This white dragon before her couldn't even speak dragon language; communication was simply too difficult.

But she soon realized something was wrong. If this White Fledgling Dragon was truly of low intelligence, how could she have performed the act of hiding things?

Combined with her white scales that gave off a slight metallic luster, Friel developed deep suspicions about her identity.

The fiery-red dragon head leaned close to Jona Velli, trying to see something through those crystal-blue pupils.

Jona Velli felt uneasy being stared at and subconsciously wanted to turn her dragon head away, but a strong claw clamped down on her movements.

"Don't move. If you move again, don't blame me for being rough."

Jona Velli could only lock eyes with her. Just as she felt immense pressure, the white dragon genes in her body kicked in.

Jona Velli subconsciously opened her dragon mouth, her pink dragon tongue licking Friel once, putting on an innocent look.

Friel was stunned, falling into doubt over this sudden action.

Could she have guessed wrong? Was she just following the Five-Color Dragon instinct of greed and hiding treasure within her dragon scales?

After a standoff lasting nearly half an hour, Friel slowly exhaled a breath of turbid air, released her grip on Jona Velli, walked to her own spot, and lay down.

Jona Velli breathed a massive sigh of relief inwardly. Luckily, she didn't buckle under pressure and kept that clear, stupid gaze of a white dragon in her eyes; otherwise, this Red Dragon really would have seen through her.

The White Fledgling Dragon rolled over, returned to her sleeping spot, glanced at Friel, and after firmly noting this debt in her heart, slowly closed her eyes.

The third day soon arrived. Since Jona Velli hadn't eaten her fill last time, her sleep duration was relatively short.

When she opened her eyes, she found Friel was still sound asleep.

Moving her dragon claws, she walked out of the cave and flew toward the Buzewu Plain.

Not long after she left, Friel slowly opened her dragon eyes.

Her Red Dragon body slowly stood up. A sense of strangeness always lingered in her heart, and the source was Jona Velli.

Friel placed all the silver coins and copper coins she had snatched from Jona Velli in the deepest part of the cave and then walked outside.

Spreading her fiery-red dragon wings, she quietly gave chase.

"Dammit, that despicable Red Dragon actually dares to steal my treasure. Once I grow up, I'll definitely pin you down and snatch away your treasures one by one right in front of your face."

Having already flown to the Buzewu Plain, Jona Velli clenched her dragon claws tightly, but the sharp pain from her stomach pulled her back to reality.

"Forget it, better fill my stomach first. Let's see, what should I eat today?"

Her crystal-blue dragon eyes scanned the herds of animals below and some Magical Beasts watching the sky warily.

Suddenly, Jona Velli's eyes lit up; she saw a good piece of prey.

"I wonder what Wildebeest tastes like."

Saying this, she adjusted her flight and dove down like a sharp arrow.

For an animal that hadn't evolved into a Magical Beast, Jona Velli didn't even deign to use her dragon breath.

With animal instinct, the Wildebeest herd sensed a predator was targeting them.

They looked around but couldn't find any sign of the predator.

"Awoo~!"

A cute hungry dragon's roar came from the sky. Just as they raised their heads, they saw the White Fledgling Dragon right in front of them.

It was too late to run. Jona Velli pounced on the sturdiest Wildebeest, while the others fled in terror.

There was no other way; the pressure Jona Velli brought was simply too strong. The absolute bloodline suppression of a top-tier race made even the thought of resistance a luxury for them.

Soon, this sturdy adult Wildebeest slowly lost its life in Jona Velli's mouth.

Her white dragon mouth released the neck it had bitten into and began to feast greedily.

But as she chewed, Jona Velli felt something was off. After swallowing the Wildebeest meat, she looked the food up and down.

"Why does it feel like it doesn't taste good? No, I can't say it tastes bad, it's just that compared to Magical Beast meat, it feels like it's lacking some flavor."

"Should I go hunt another one?"

The white dragon head scanned the surroundings and found that the nearby animals had already run miles away.

"Forget it, I'll just make do for now and hunt a Magical Beast later."

Muttering, Jona Velli continued her meal.

Not far away, a Red Wyrmling was watching Jona Velli's direction intently.

From the hunt until now, she hadn't seen anything out of place.

Following instinct to pounce and kill, and continuing to eat even if ordinary animal meat wasn't as good as Magical Beast meat—this perfectly matched the ignorant intelligence of a white dragon.

"Strange..."

Friel also began to wonder if she really was overthinking things.

She looked at Jona Velli again, silently counting in her heart, and hurriedly looked away just as she was about to reach 'three'.

Dragons are very sensitive to the feeling of being watched; most True Dragons will definitely notice after being stared at for three seconds.

Some True Dragons with even sharper senses might even notice the moment someone looks at them.

Jona Velli's subsequent two hunts after finishing her meal also ended under Friel's secret observation.

During this period, Friel found nothing unusual, which slowly dispelled the thoughts in her heart.

"It seems I really did overthink it. This stupid dragon must have picked up some Adventurer's belongings somewhere and then, out of instinct, tucked the silver coins into her scales.

Besides, if she were really smart, she wouldn't have chosen to bring the treasure back to the Dragons Lair where the risk of me finding it is too high; she would have hidden it instead.

Yes, exactly, that's it. Ahaha~ I, Friel, am simply too clever."

Having convinced herself, Friel prepared to go reward her own stomach.

Time passed slowly, and three months flickered by.

During this time, Jona Velli would occasionally go to the Goblin nest to check on little Fanny's mood. After all, for a young girl to stay in the same space as these White Phosphorus Goblins every day, watching them reproduce, was truly... uh, too inhumane.

The White-Scaled Goblin had multiplied from a few to over sixty now. After all, Goblins reproduce very quickly, and with the dragon blood enhancement, their... cough, (enough said). In short, the Iron Ore mining work had officially begun.

As for where the mined Iron Ore was placed, that wasn't something Jona Velli needed to worry about.
