Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: A Big Black Butt to the Face!

"Calm down, you are not worth my time."

Although Friel's words were extremely arrogant and made a True Dragon feel uncomfortable and annoyed, Gris secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking at the White Fledgling Dragon who was still unconsciously gnawing on the stone wall, he couldn't help but ask out of curiosity.

"She... what is she doing?"

Friel didn't even turn her head, quietly watching Jona Velli's figure. Gris wasn't sure if it was an illusion, but he thought he saw Friel's dragon mouth curl up slightly.

"Sleepwalking."

"Quite cute behavior, isn't it?"

Gris's dragon eyes widened slightly. Good heavens, by Tiamat, look at this—is this something a Five-Color Dragon should say? Is this something a Red Dragon could say? And what's with that faint trace of gentleness in her tone?

This was too abnormal. Was she even still a Red Dragon?

But Gris still forced himself to agree.

"Uh, yeah, it really is... cute."

Strange, so strange. This feeling of a White Dragon not acting like a White Dragon and a Red Dragon not acting like a Red Dragon—what was going on?

"Don't you find her noisy?"

Gris asked again. Friel turned her dragon head, her fiery red vertical pupils staring at him.

Gris felt a chill down his back from her gaze and rephrased his question.

"I mean, she's disturbing your rest like this. Aren't you angry about it?"

"I'm used to it."

Uh... that reason was pretty far-fetched.

Gris hesitated, testing the waters with a question.

"That... don't you think Jona Velli is... emmm, a bit strange?"

The crimson dragon eyes narrowed slightly, and a displeased voice came through.

"You have no right to speculate about her here. If you do something like this again, you won't want to know the consequences."

Even though those crimson dragon eyes looked like they could spit fire, Gris still saw a coldness within Friel's gaze.

Gris backed up a few steps. Seeing that Friel had no intention of attacking, he breathed a sigh of relief and slowly lay his body down.

Hmph! Fine, don't tell me then, how stingy.

Grumbling to himself, he slowly closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

After an unknown amount of time, Jona Velli woke up from her slumber. That familiar red figure was already gone; one didn't even have to guess to know she had gone foraging.

And that Black Fledgling Dragon seemed to have noticed her waking up, as he slowly lifted his head.

Her crystal-blue pupils constricted slightly. Why did it feel like he was even further away from her?

Whatever, it might just be an illusion. The priority now was to fill her stomach.

Jona Velli stood up and looked at Gris.

"Hey, Little Coal Ball, want to have a big feast?"

Hearing this nickname, Gris looked dissatisfied.

"Watch your phrasing. Although I..."

"Hmm?"

Jona Velli's expression turned unfriendly. Gris's words stopped abruptly before they could even leave his mouth. He swallowed hard and followed his heart by shutting up.

"Let's go. I've had my eye on a prey for a long time. Since you're a newcomer, I'll take you for a good meal."

After speaking, Jona Velli showed a mischievous smile, but it was quickly hidden.

Gris's stomach also voiced its protest at this time. If there was free food, it would be a waste not to eat it.

The two dragons left the Dragons Lair and flew toward the depths of the Buzewu Plain.

After flying for about an hour, Jona Velli brought Gris to the middle region of the Buzewu Plain. The number of magical beasts here was significantly higher, and their realms were better than those on the outskirts.

"Jona Velli, aren't we there yet?"

By now, Gris's stomach was growling with hunger. Along the way, they had encountered many magical beasts worth eating, but Jona Velli had no intention of hunting them, which made him feel restless.

"No rush, no rush. We're almost there."

Jona Velli didn't look back, her dragon mouth slightly grinning.

Gris wanted to say more, but Jona Velli spoke first.

"We're here."

Gris was startled and began to look around.

"Where?"

A white dragon claw pointed. Beneath a giant tree, there was a Three-Headed Lion resting.

Seeing the prey Jona Velli mentioned, Gris was stunned, then speechless.

"Are you a lunatic or an idiot?"

Gris couldn't help but say this because Jona Velli had chosen a High-ranking Magical Beast as her hunting target.

[Golden Nine-Headed Lion, a High-ranking Magical Beast. In the extremely old stage, it can grow a ninth lion head, and its strength will reach the Legendary level. It generally has affinities for elements like lightning, fire, light, or earth. Special individuals can awaken two or more elemental affinities simultaneously.

Usually acts alone. Common attack methods include biting, charging, jumping, and tail-whipping.

Its strength increases with the number of heads grown, and it possesses intelligence comparable to an average adult.

Innate abilities include Nine Heads Crying in Unison (based on current number of heads), Protective Aura, and significantly increased resistance to its awakened elements.]

Looking at the introduction in his Inheritance Memory, Gris shook his dragon head and continued.

"It has already grown its third head, meaning it's at least at the Silver realm. Are you sure you want to provoke it?"

A clear look of disdain appeared in Jona Velli's dragon eyes.

"Heh, what is there to fear from a mere Silver realm?"

Hearing the White Fledgling Dragon's words, Gris was stunned. Should he say 'as expected of a White Dragon'? This IQ... Gris was only at Bronze Rank 5, and Jona Velli was currently only at Bronze Rank 9. There was a whole major realm of difference. Even if dragons were naturally powerful, the Three-Headed Golden Lion, as a High-ranking Magical Beast, wasn't weak either.

If they were in the same realm, Gris was confident he could beat the Nine-Headed Golden Lion senseless. But now, he felt it would be good enough just to survive its assault.

Dragons did have the ability to fight across tiers, but that didn't include him, the Black Dragon Gris. As for the White Dragon Jona Velli... better wait until her IQ could function stably first.

Jona Velli beckoned with her dragon finger, signaling Gris to come closer. Gris suspiciously flew next to her.

"What?"

Jona Velli grinned.

"I have a plan, listen closely."

"Uh-huh."

Though doubtful, Gris still leaned his dragon head in, waiting for Jona Velli's next words.

"You say..."

Duang!

A white hind leg kicked right into Gris's big butt, the massive force sending him falling downward.

Although Gris didn't understand what Jona Velli was trying to do, he still tried his best to maintain his body's balance.

Just as he was about to successfully steady himself, a linear Frost Breath shot onto him, causing Gris to lose his balance completely.

The Golden Lion, which had only grown three heads, sensed something and slowly opened its eyes. Before it could react, a big black butt was already flying into its face.

Bang!

Gris's butt slammed hard into the Golden Lion's main head, leaving it seeing stars.

But following that was boundless rage. What was this? It was just sleeping, and a butt suddenly flies into its face? What the hell was that?

After the six-meter-long Three-Headed Golden Lion regained its senses, it finally saw what had hit it. But upon discovering it was a Black Dragon hatchling, its six eyes instantly cleared. It instinctively looked around, wanting to flee, but it didn't see the expected adult dragon.
