"Raise your head."
"Look up."
As soon as Er Pizi raised his head, he saw a drop of blood floating in front of Jona Velli, and his brownish-yellow pupils snapped wide open.
He could feel the power within this drop of blood that was far beyond his reach; as long as he fused with it, his racial limit, talents, and other attributes would be greatly enhanced.
Jona Velli saw the greed in his eyes, and her dragon mouth curled into a grin; this was exactly the effect she wanted.
"This is my blood, but with your weak bodies, you can hardly withstand its power. However..."
With a thought from Jona Velli, a portion of the bloodline power was drawn out from this bright red drop of dragon blood, causing its color to dim slightly.
"I can dilute the concentration of the bloodline. That way..."
Jona Velli said no more, instead dividing the drop of dragon blood into over a dozen smaller droplets.
Then, she struck them into the bodies of the Goblins present.
Instantly, a cold chill spread throughout their entire bodies, as if even their spines and cells were being frozen by frost.
All the Goblins began to twitch and collapsed to the ground.
"Ga ga ga ga ga!"
"Ga ga ga ah ah ah ah!!"
Miserable howls escaped their mouths. Watching this scene, Fanny actually felt a bit of pity; she could feel that these Goblins' bloodlines were being tainted by the dragon blood.
This dragon blood was like a virus, rapidly infecting the native cells within their bodies and multiplying frantically; the process was unimaginably painful.
In contrast to Fanny's pity, hearing the miserable howls of these Goblins made Jona Velli feel incredibly comfortable, a result of the evil nature inherent to chromatic dragons.
Her crystal-blue dragon eyes dilated with pleasure, and her dragon mouth split into a wide grin.
Soon, the dragon blood conversion neared its end. Six Goblins failed to survive the transformation of the dragon blood and were frozen into ice sculptures.
As for those who survived... Jona Velli looked at the Goblins, whose appearances had changed drastically—covered in white scales, with a pair of short horns on their heads, tapered dragon tails behind them, and eyes turned pale blue—and nodded inwardly.
Setting aside their strength for a moment, their looks were definitely a major upgrade compared to before.
"From now on, your race's name is changed to White-Scaled Goblin."
After the White-Scaled Goblin slowly regained their senses, they all excitedly knelt and bowed in Jona Velli's direction.
They had become stronger, transforming from the lowest Goblins into powerful Dragon-Vein Goblins; this was an escalation in their very level of existence!
How could they not be excited?
"Thank you, Great White Dragon Lord, for granting us new life! We are willing to die for you!"
Jona Velli did not respond to that, but instead continued.
"Now, I am giving you your first task, which is to procreate and increase your population, and then mine this iron ore for me. Er Pizi, from this day forward, you are the new patriarch of the White-Scaled Goblin tribe."
"Yes! Great White Dragon Lord!"
Jona Velli spoke again.
"Alright, through the dragon blood, I have already transmitted the knowledge of iron smelting into your minds. Once your tribe reaches fifty members, you can smelt the iron ore you mine into iron pickaxes, which will greatly speed up your mining."
"Yes!"
Having done this, Jona Velli looked at Fanny.
"Fanny, after I leave this place, you will temporarily manage these White-Scaled Goblin for me."
"Is Jona Velli not taking me along?"
The white dragon head shook.
"It's not very convenient right now. We'll talk about it later."
Hearing this, Fanny's mood visibly plummeted.
Seeing this, Jona Velli slightly opened her dragon mouth.
"Fanny, aren't we friends? I didn't expect that as a friend, you wouldn't even be willing to help with such a small matter. I am truly heartbroken."
After speaking, Jona Velli feigned a look of deep distress.
How could the simple Little Fairy understand such things? Seeing the White Dragon who saved her so sad, she stomped her feet in the air anxiously.
"No, no, I'm willing! Jona Velli, I'm willing! I will definitely manage these White-Scaled Goblin well."
"Oh~ Really?"
"Really, really! You can rest assured!"
"Thank you. Then I'll leave this place to you."
After saying that, Jona Velli walked into the tunnel she had come down from and left the area under the watchful eyes of Fanny and Er Pizi.
The white dragon mouth curled into a slight grin.
"I didn't think this fairy would be so easy to trick, hehehe~"
After leaving the Goblin cave, Jona Velli looked at the star-filled sky and, knowing it was late, spread her dragon wings and flew toward the Dragons Lair.
Upon returning to the Dragons Lair, Jona Velli found that Friel was still fast asleep, which couldn't help but stir some mischievous thoughts in her.
She approached Friel stealthily, unable to resist the urge to tease her.
'Hehehe~ pay back for hitting me back then.'
A white dragon claw slowly reached out. Just as it was about to approach Friel's nostrils, a pair of crimson dragon eyes snapped open.
The advancing dragon claw froze in mid-air. As their eyes met, time seemed to stand still. Having her prank caught red-handed, Jona Velli felt as if the sky had fallen.
The next second, a terrifying roar erupted. Friel suddenly lunged, pinning Jona Velli beneath her.
"Bold White Dragon, were you trying to sneak attack the Great Friel?"
Seeing the situation was bad, Jona Velli hurriedly launched a 'cute' attack, putting on an innocent look, but... it was all too late.
A powerful red dragon claw swiped down, hitting Jona Velli's dragon head and making her cry out in pain.
"Ohoho~~ ow ow ow~ yee-haw~"
Friel didn't stop, delivering a series of combo punches.
Just then, a crisp clink caught Friel's attention.
*Ding—*
A silver coin that Jona Velli had tucked between her scales fell out, and the sound immediately drew Friel's gaze.
After seeing clearly what it was, the crimson dragon eyes instantly narrowed into thin slits.
'Oh no!'
Jona Velli scrambled to get up, wanting to protect her silver coins, but it was already too late.
Friel turned into a red blur, instantly snatching the silver coin that had fallen to the ground. After carefully confirming what it was, she turned her dragon head back, her crimson dragon eyes filled with excitement and ill intent.
Jona Velli's scales stood on end in shock, but this caused all the silver and copper coins she had hidden between her scales to fall out.
'It's over! This time I'm really dead!'
Friel seemed to lose her last shred of sanity, charging like a madwoman toward the treasures scattered on the ground.
Jona Velli didn't even have time to pick them up, and even if she did, it would be useless; given Friel's personality, she would definitely snatch them by force from her claws.
After seizing all the silver and copper coins, Friel grabbed Jona Velli's tail, lifted her with one hand, and shook her vigorously, hoping to shake out more treasures.
After about ten minutes of this, once Jona Velli felt like her brains had been shaken loose, Friel finally tossed her onto the ground with a look of disappointment.
