Upon seeing the introduction in her Inheritance Memory, Jona Velli felt it was somewhat cruel. However, that emotion vanished inexplicably, replaced by a sense of normalcy and even a faint hint of excitement.
Jona Velli charged directly at the two Misty Grass Horned Deer, turning into a white blur in the sky.
As if sensing something, the nursing mother deer raised its head to look at the sky and immediately spotted Jona Velli less than a hundred meters away.
"Baa-ow!"
A sharp deer cry rang out as the mother immediately fled with its fawn. Although she was incredibly fast and soon vanished without a trace, the fawn, only a few months old, was not so lucky.
It was left behind, howling helplessly in hopes of receiving a response from its mother.
"Baa-ow~ Baa-ow~"
The sound of rushing air approached as Jona Velli dropped from the heights, pinning the young deer, which was barely over a meter tall.
However, she was in no hurry to end its life; instead, a wicked smile curled on her lips.
The fawn was pinned under the white dragon claws, screaming in terror. The mother deer, which had just fled, doubled back and paced uneasily nearby, howling in an attempt to comfort the fawn.
"Baa-ow! Baa-ow!"
Seeing this, Jona Velli's knife-like claws pierced the fawn's hind leg, eliciting a cry of agony.
"Baa-ow!!!"
The cry struck the mother deer's sanity. She let out a howl, and the surrounding natural elements grew increasingly dense.
Her relatively small antlers emitted a verdant glow, and four vines shot out from the forest, attacking Jona Velli.
The mother deer then charged recklessly toward Jona Velli.
A look of cruelty flashed through Jona Velli's crystal-blue pupils. She grabbed the fawn and hurled it violently at the mother deer. Her white dragon claws casually shredded the incoming vines before she burst forward toward the mother deer.
The mother deer had no time to dodge and collided with the thrown fawn. The powerful force instantly shattered the fawn's bones, and the mother deer collapsed to the ground, dizzy and disoriented.
The fawn was now breathing more out than in, its eyes wide open, unable to move an inch.
Jona Velli walked up to the two deer. She hadn't expected that single strike to strip them of their ability to move; truth be told, it was quite beyond her expectations.
Then, right before the mother deer's eyes, she began to feast on the fawn.
Watching her child being eaten alive in front of her, the mother deer wanted to stop it but was powerless, shedding tears of despair.
For some reason, Jona Velli felt incredibly comfortable seeing this scene. She crushed the fawn's skull with a claw and ate its Crystal Core.
"Baa-ow!"
The mother deer finally recovered and let out a howl of despair. She rammed into Jona Velli, but unfortunately, Jona Velli easily blocked the attack, grabbed her antlers, and slammed her down onto her child's corpse.
"Do you want a taste of this delicious treat too? Jie jie jie jie~"
"Baa-ow, baa-ow!"
Suddenly, as if snapping back to her senses, Jona Velli raised a dragon claw and slapped herself hard.
"I... how could I commit such a cruel act... Could it be the... within my body..."
Jona Velli looked at the howling Misty Grass Horned Deer with a complicated gaze.
*Snap*—Jona Velli easily twisted its neck and tore it off.
The blood of the mother and fawn mixed together. After a moment of hesitation, Jona Velli eventually lowered her head and took a sip.
"From now on... only kill, no torture."
Soon, the two Misty Grass Horned Deer were completely devoured. Jona Velli felt only about forty percent full.
Licking her dragon mouth in reminiscence, she spread her dragon wings and flew into the sky.
After flying east for about ten minutes, Jona Velli spotted a dozen humanoid creatures, which immediately piqued her interest.
[Goblins: A group of low-intelligence humanoid monsters. They are hermaphroditic but usually capture other humanoid races or humans for reproduction.]
[Goblins are short and small in stature with ugly faces. They typically have dark green skin, yellowish-brown eyes, long pointed ears, no hair, and a disheveled appearance.]
[Goblins love to cause trouble and are cunning, greedy, selfish, and violent. They use various treacherous means to deceive opponents and are cowardly, only daring to move in dark corners.]
[They are weak, stupid, greedy, and filthy. They often travel in groups and live in caves or tribes.]
The description from her Inheritance Memory made Jona Velli look disgusted.
"Well, they certainly fit the stereotypes of these disgusting creatures from my past life. Let's wipe them out."
With a flap of her dragon wings, Jona Velli changed course and dove downward.
A group of Goblins, averaging only the Black Iron rank, were heading in one direction, carrying two struggling wild rabbits bound with vines.
"Gah!"
Suddenly, one Goblin seemed to notice something and let out a cry. All the Goblins immediately took a defensive stance, their eyes locked on Jona Velli as she dove from the sky.
"Gah gah gah!!"
Eight ordinary Goblins threw stones at the descending Jona Velli, while four Goblins with crude bows began firing fletchless arrows.
The last one, a Goblin Squad Leader whose strength had reached the Third Ring of the bronze rank, directed them with a rusted broken sword in its right hand—evidently equipment from a human Adventurer.
"How pathetic, like children playing games."
With a murmur, Jona Velli slammed into the middle of the Goblin group, crushing three instantly. Before they could mount a futile counterattack, a fan-shaped dragon breath incinerated seven Goblins.
With a sweep of her thick, conical dragon tail, two more died on the spot.
Looking at the terrified Goblin Squad Leader, Jona Velli prepared to finish it off.
But suddenly, her eyes caught a silver coin falling from the Goblin. Her pupils instantly narrowed into vertical slits.
"This is!"
Jona Velli's massive dragon body suddenly sprawled on the ground, her white backside tilted high as her tail began to wag rapidly.
"Shiny~"
Her crystal-blue dragon eyes stared intently at the silver coin on the ground; the greedy nature of a dragon was fully exposed at this moment.
She instantly reached out a dragon claw, carefully using two claws to pick up the silver coin. She held it before her eyes for a close look and then sniffed it.
Mhm, yes, that's the smell—authentic.
She carefully tucked the silver coin away under her Inverse Scale, then finally turned her gaze toward the terrified Goblin Squad Leader.
Then, she spoke in the continental common tongue.
"Take me to your nest, or else..."
Jona Velli made a throat-slitting gesture.
The Goblin Squad Leader nodded frantically and led Jona Velli toward a nearby mountain, cackling "gah gah gah".
Soon, led by the Goblin Squad Leader, Jona Velli saw a massive cave. This cave was several times larger than the one Friel had dug.
Spreading her senses, Jona Velli discovered many Goblins inside, proving that the Goblin Squad Leader had not lied.
"But... so what?"
"Scram!"
As if granted a great reprieve, the Goblin Squad Leader bowed to Jona Velli several times before stumbling away into the distance.
