I headed up to the stands where Ezree was, bringing Angel with me. We sat down and they had finished up introducing both people. The contestant Herika was fighting was of average height, white haired boy. I couldn't make out much feature from here but Ezree was there to get finer details.
Now it makes sense why people hire her. The bell rang and they both ran at each other, at miles slower speeds from Angel and Lynix. Herika had her axe out and the boy had a longsword. They exchange a few attacks, all blocked, parried or deflected by the other. Herika raised her axe up and blocked another attack. She lightened herself and threw an attack quicker than her others at his side.
He failed to block it and the axe cut his side. She didn't increase the weight in an attempt to not cut him in half. He jumped back to keep distance from Herika, but she came sprinting at him.
Air cumulated and spiraled around his sword. Sand caught in it too. The spiral was shot out at the attacking Herika. The sand storm cut her skin all over and pushed her back. Now the boy was attacking and he cut down with his longsword. It was aimed at her shoulder. She punched forward intentionally before they could hit each other, Herika lagged.
His sword hit the sand and launched some up in the air. Herika was behind him following up on the punch. Her fist met the back of his head. The boy fell face first into the sand.
"Oh! Shit! My bad dude…" The bell rang and the match was over.

Stella's point of view
The competition was broadcasted on tv all throughout Fayha. I laid across Ezree's couch watching. My head was perched barely on the pillow so my horns didn't poke holes in it. I had just finished watching Herika's fight. The fight was the quickest, even Angel's and Lynix's fight lasted longer. I kicked my feet up.
"I wish I could have seen Angel's fight in person."
A knock resounded on the door.
"AND HEOS!"
I walked over to the door and opened it. Lynix stood on the steps, carrying a strange face.
"Hi?"
"Yo, your cousin asked me to come watch you."
"She did! Well I'm perfectly fine. The same way I'd be if I was at the com- petition."
"Why didn't you go then?"
"It's not safe out there with all the disappearances and stuff."
"It's totally fine. Here, come with me. I'll take you to the competition. Maybe if we're quick enough we can make her fight."
"Really?"
"Yeah come on."

Heo's point of view
"I guess they're late?"
I looked around the arena before the missing opponent showed up. Their fight lasted a couple of minutes until the late opponent got tired and blocked too slow. The attack hit him in the armor and dented his chestplate in. Medics healed him and the next round was starting.
I got out of my chair and headed down. Herika, Ezree and Angel cheering me on. The opponent I was up against was an older looking woman than me, maybe late twenties. She wore a full coat of armor and cape. She had horns, only two, that pointed back from the top of her head. She looked similar to Baydí.
A large hammer hung off a chain wrapped around her arm. She twirled it, the second the bell rang it was flying out at me. I duck into the dirt floor below me. The hammer was reeled back in. She twisted her hand and threw the hammer down from up in the air.
The hammer blazed and sped up. I was already running away from the impact and towards her. She spun the hammer from the sand behind me. It reeled back in, this time coming towards me. I jumped to get away from it, but she twisted the hammer and it flung after me.
Damn that's annoying. I shot fire out from below me. It's normally a certain type of fighter who uses a move like this. The same type as Jace. They gain a skill to perform a double jump. Double jumps can be made a whole lot of different ways. This though, was more like a rocket.
I shot up farther, reaching the stands of the arena. SHIT! As I came down I saw in the stands, Lynix and Stella. What the hell? They hadn't noticed me. They weren't even focused on my fight. I told Stella to stay inside!
I turned down towards the women. She shot her hammer up after me. I couldn't dodge, so instead I grabbed onto it. It was burning but wasn't hot to me. She must have realized that and pulled hard down towards herself. I flew down monstrously fast. The impact will kill me, unless…
The woman, when I got close enough, spun and shot me out towards the wall. I jumped off just before and shot myself at her. She raised her arm in defense, but I had already clocked her in her chest. The momentum threw me across the field but less than direct fall.
Speakers screamed over my victory. Herika and Ezree jumped up and down at me. I had won the fight and walked up the stairs to everyone. When I got up there and looked around, the group walked up to me.
"Wow Heo, that was a close one." Herika said.
"Was that a goblin's move?" Angle asked.
"Where is Stella?"
"Huh? At my house still, no?"
"I saw her, I knew she came even when I told her to not leave your house. I'm looking for her."
I stormed off in the direction I saw them heading. I texted and called her, but she didn't pick up. I ran across the mostly empty seats, scanning for Lynix's unique horns. I checked food stands and bathrooms. I couldn't find them. Wait, if she isn't in here now, she might have gone to try and register even though she can't anymore. I walked down to the entrance.
"Have you seen a girl who has hair like mine and black horns like this?" I reshaped my horns in the same shape as Stella's. The security and organizers said they had seen her go in, but not them going out. I ran back in and scanned everything again. Nothing.
I had missed my next fight by this point so I headed back to the seats. She's probably fine, I just can't find her. If I just went onto the next fight I would have been fine. Herika, Ezree and Angel looked up at me.
"Did you find her?" Angel asked.
"No. And I missed the next fight."
"She's with Lynix, I think they'll be fine. Your fight got delayed, we told them what was going on and they pushed it back."
"Yeah, but you missed my fight."
"Sorry Herika, was it good?"
"Yeah, it was awesome."
I started to head down to the next fight. She's alright. She's alright.
