Cherreads

Chapter 44 - She screamed destruction, and it followed

She raised her swords up. Then threw out a tidal wave of both positive and negative energy. Lynix jumped up and then a wall of stone shot up from the earth to block her. She hopped on top of her stone wall and screamed down.

"DON"T YOU DARE CLAIM TO BE SOME DESTROYER! You have no factors of destruction! You haven't ever met his mightyness, god of this universe, Ryiam!"

"Pff- god? I've killed one before. To me, just a few minutes ago I crushed a god in my hands." The woman laughed as the world shook around us.

Lynix trembled, maybe scared. The woman jumped up and exchanged a few attacks with Lynix. Building sizes of karma nearly missed Lynix. Lynix trembled and shot up another stone wall and stood on it pointing down. My cripled body shivered seeing it again, the difference.

"We've already lost. Our plan unfortunately failed, so I'll leave. In exchange for not killing you. Don't tell a soul about Lynix Azulé. Or the will of God Ryiam will be upon you."

She hopped off the stone wall and disappeared. The stone wall came down and the forest came into view. My magic had long gone out, so did the fire in the forest.

"Welp, we almost died?" The woman crossed her arms, walked over to me, then she crouched and hung out a hand. "I think my bluff scared her." The woman smiled. "Hello Mr. Heo Estellé. My name is Heo Primé. Just call me Primé, or we'll get confused, Estellé."

I would have shook her hand, but I fell unconscious.

I woke up in a hospital bed. A sight I was extremely familiar with. A special form of pure magic flew directly into me with an IV needle in my arm. I glanced around the room. Most hospitals were the same. I sat up in my bed looking to my left and saw a mirror.

A girl, with wavy sandy blonde hair and orange eyes stared back at me. Something was odd though. My eyes, the same half diamond shape with three protruding points shown in my eyes. No through them. The shape shown on my eyelid and moves with my iris. I had remembered some fear looking at it on the ground, but now, nothing.

I went up to touch my eye, this time, I just quickly blinked away. Once it didn't sting I looked at my finger. This time it wasn't cut. I had just touched my eye instead.

"Stella…" I moved, turning off the bed.

"Woah! Let's not move too much yet, Estellé." That white haired girl's voice spoke from somewhere so I turned, looking for her. "I'm in your head idiot."

"Who are you?"

"Destroyer, I had said before but don't call me that. Heo Primé."

"Destroyer like the Hero of Chaos power?"

"Ok, slow down. I've slowly gotten some of your memories, but I don't know too much about this world."

"So you've come from another?"

"Yeah. It's kinda a long explanation. I'm not just another version of you, but at a specific point you."

"Huh?"

"From Leo Primé. I broke off and you continued till death. Actually, I came to this universe and rewrote our death so you would exist, but I think you still fell off that old stupid railing."

"How are you here now?"

"Universal being."

"The skill… Did I use it?"

"It's… well it's not a skill."

"What do you mean?"

"Technically, but it more of holds skills, those for the universal being, or us."

"What skills?"

"A handful. First is what it's represented by, universal destruction." Primé said, and a hand came out of me and pointed at my eyes. "That shape."

"The half diamonds?"

"Yes."

"So it destroys universes? How do I have some crazy power like that?" I screamed out loud excitedly.

"No. It has potential, but it was named after its potential."

"Aww, what does it do then?"

"It increases damage based on the range of an attack. When you have universal amounts of energy then you can destroy it."

"Is that how you killed a god?"

"Well…"

Primé popped out of my body and landed on the edge of the bed. Her right eye was red and left was blue now. Her horns were all black this time.

"I died too, destroying it. I'm not nearly as strong as I was. I'm around just as strong as you, with your powers and abilities."

"What about those swords? And the karma you used?"

"Hah! That's so easy to do, it's part of another ability we have. We can take powers from the infinite future and past versions of ourselves."

"Isn't that strong?"

"Yes, but would you kill a version of yourself to use that power? If you would, what stops them from killing you before you do that?"

"But… You just claimed to use it."

"It scales. All I take is the singular karma polarity. Guess how much damage that does?"

"How much?"

"None. It's harmless to take that polarity. Ours will be taken from time to time. We won't even notice it."

"What are the other abilities?"

"Universal helper which allows for unique things to increase besides physical things about yourself. An example is increasing the range of magic."

"Did you do that?"

"Yeah. The next one is split personality. That's how I'm here. It can call on one of the infinite future or past versions of you, or create a being from you with an ability you have. You'll lose it."

"Why would I ever use that?"

"Good question. Ask how ever we got universal being next."

"How did I?"

"I don't know. It doesn't make sense. It also doesn't make sense why specifically Heo and Leo have this."

"Ok. Is there any more?"

"Yes, it's more of a passive about us being universal beings, like a title. Every action and following actions from ours change the universe's fate."

"How?"

"Bombshell, you ready?"

"Yeah." I leaned into her.

"We exist outside of fate. Our existence in fate therefore changes it and everything around it in a giant domino effect. This has been here since you were born. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of time magic is messed up because of that."

I thought back to when I fought Delusion. She tried to use time magic, but she just stood there looking like an idiot. Did it not work because of this?

"Wow! We are really cool aren't we?"

"Of course we are."

"Primé, some of what you've said. Some of the abilities already worked even before I used the skill."

"I think that's because magic isn't always the same in every universe, but a universal being is still there. We had this while we were Leo, didn't feel like it though."

I looked down at my hands. My crumbled one was fixed. I shifted, remembering before. The difference between my bodies.

"So are you a girl version of me?"

"What-"

"Well you know, I was a guy-"

"SO WAS I IDIOT!"

As he yelled, nurses came in, not even really minding the white haired twin laying on my bed. They check me over. I didn't have any wounds to check, they had already been healed by a strong healer, I just had extreme magic sickness. They released me. Primé and I walked out of the hospital.

"So, what's your plan now?"

"I have to find Stella first, then everyone else."

"Yeah, the cousin. Let's run behind a corner so I can hop back in that brain."

We ducked to the side of the hospital and Primé jumped back inside my body. I didn't feel it when she touched me.

"How'd I get to this hospital?"

"I dragged you and all your friends here."

"That five people!"

"I know, fatasses. Also reach into your backpack."

"Ok."

I slid the strap around my body and put my hand into my already worn out looking bag and felt something, like a handle of a sword. I pulled it out and the weapon Baydí had came out. I quickly pushed it back in.

"What the hell!"

"Yeah. Those two things looked important so I made a quick enchantment on your backpack. I'm surprised you had nothing like that on you. I lost a lot of that power so it was hard, but should last long enough for now."

"Where is Stella! We are getting off track."

"She…"

Apparently, Jace had been making his way to the mountain. He spotted Primé dragging us all and came and helped. Stella was unhurt, but I knew that wasn't the case. Jace took her to the Queen instead while everyone was at the hospital just past out with minor wounds.

"They'll be fine. Let's go find Stella."

We started towards the castle. The streets slowly poured more and more people out as we walked. It's so against Fayha to be inside all the time. The giant middle tower of the castle became clearer and clearer as we walked.

When we got there it didn't take long for Jace to come up to me.

"Heo!"

"Jace. I was just looking for you."

Instead of replying, Jace hugged me in a suffocating bear hug.

"How do you get yourself in those situations?"

"Uhh… luck? Where's Stella?"
