Ezree had a car and drove us outside the city. It took longer trying to avoid the bubbles of water, but we eventually got out of the city. It took another few hours to get to where we could scale the mountain. There were little towns on the mountain but no major cities. A lot of the people up on the mountain were also hiding from some bubbles that would move out of the city.
Another few hours to the mountain. We still had around two hours till we could attack but we'd still need to wait till she was weak enough. We got to the point of the mountain. It was dark only illuminated by the moonlight. We ducked between trees and looked to the ledge where Stella's phone was pinging.
I saw Baydí, standing still with her hands raised in the air. Her body was covered in wrinkles and eyes. Her left side was darkened blue. Her horns were sharpened. Two pointed down from the top of her head towards her eyes, and two came out from behind her ears and towards her face. The streams of water were now streams of hair, goat eyes scattered throughout. Her hair was bundled together at her shoulders, then flowed out in jellyfish tentacles. At the end of the stands of hair were more eyes. Halos surrounded the eyes and brightened the area around her. Her left leg was cut three times, the cuts going completely through without blood flowing out. Her chest and hips were covered in more wrinkles that were more white than her skin and flowed off her like clothes. Where the flowing wrinkles ended on her hips, white cloth dressed her legs.
"People with hero presences also have heroic forms." I said.
"Does that mean hero syndrome cases have them too?" Ezree said.
"Looks like it." Angle said and turned back to us. "We need a plan to attack her, even if she's weakened significantly in a few hours."
"She should be stunned whenever her heroic form breaks." Herika said.
"No one here is strong enough to break it." Ezree said.
"But when she's weakened we could theoretically break it, no?" I asked.
"Sure. After that just hit her as hard and as many times as we can." Angel said.
Looking back at Baydí her body moved. She pulled her arms down then pushed them back up. Water shot from her body and into the sky. When the water went up it disappeared into the sky. After a few seconds it rippled. The entire sky rippled as if an ocean sat in the sky.
"Oh, I'm so beautiful." Baydí said. "From the second my dragon blood manifested it was clear, I was meant to be beautiful. Parents and family just couldn't see it." She caressed her wrinkled skin. Then spun on her heel, throwing her dress-like wrinkles around.
She ran and hopped up and down. "Me? A warrior no! Of course I was meant to rule the world, just with my beauty of course." She shot more magic into the ocean above the world.
"Oh, there goes the dress." She violently shot more magic out. "There goes the candy and toys! Only fighting! AND TRAINING TILL THE DAY I WAS OLD ENOUGH TO LEAVE." She stomped, the ground cracked and more water shot up. "Not only that… the year after I escaped the new Queen came in and took care of all the trained kids! BUT WHY DID SHE WAIT SO LONG TO BE QUEEN! WHY DID I HAVE TO SUFFER! WITH NO SCHOOLING, I MIGHT HAVE ESCAPED MY TORTURE BUT MY PARENT'S DREAM STILL CAME TRUE!"
Baydí was a direct outcome of the crude King's rule. Training was prohibited on kids younger than eighteen. But a kid who's only trained and gotten stronger from around the age of five when they awoke, she might be the strongest in the world with that power.
"Thankfully, even with those eighteen years of torture, I was born beautiful."
"If hero syndrome flips personalities, what happened to her?" Ezree asked.
"She thought of herself as only a warrior. Her family must have forced her to train everyday while laws weren't enforced." Angel said.
"The past Paukena couldn't have stopped her abuse because she wasn't Queen yet" Herika said.
"Its good to remember that hero syndrome cases shouldn't be blamed on the dragon." Angel said.
"No." I said.
"What do you mean no?" Ezree asked.
"She was purposefully trying to get hero syndrome so she could beat it." I said.
"How'd you know that? She could have just been so far brainwashed she wouldn't have even known she shouldn't do that." Herika said.
"Like I said before to you. I just know a few more things. Nonetheless, this idiot killed Stella, whether she purposefully became a hero or not."
They all looked at me. Still sweating when they met my eyes. Baydí again shot water into the sky before she repeated her screaming. She ran and jumped, clicked her heels together, spawning a pond's amount of water. She hit the ground and spun on a foot around the pond water that slowly formed a pillar.
She turned and pushed herself off it, the pillar shot into the sky as her foot left the water. She titled and the wrinkles on her skin flowed into the air around her. She stretched out her hands and water coiled from her arms and into the air around her. She pulled her arms in close and boiling water formed a giant spiral and shot out from her head.
She continued forming pillars of water, shooting them into the air and dancing. Her mind slowly deteriorating.
"Oh beautiful moon, why are you in my sky? To mock me! For I am more beautiful than YOU!"
Her water flowed covering the moon in the sky. A distorted crying face replaced the moon. It cried tears that fell and ripped the earth around it apart. She started her attack early.
