Min-jun was calm, hands in his pocket with his blood stained bat strapped to his back. He was proud of his accomplishment. He was still wearing the Dominator mask, when he noticed a number of vehicles outside the entrance of the Tower.
"Huh?! The military?!! This is bad, I have to disappear out of sight. Oh! I know... ... ! ".
Min-jun took out the Cloak of Scales, wrapping himself with it.
"Let's see, Shadowing Scales!! "
The Cloak emitted a dark cloud that overshadowed Min-jun. In mere minutes, Min-jun was no longer visible. With careful steps, he snuck out of the Tower, right before the eyes of military officials.
[Military Officer (male)]: "Captain Sun, there's no sign of movement..."
[Captain Sun]:"Is that so, perhaps we were too late. Our only hope in conquering these towers is gone. Alright! Move out!!"
"Yessir!!!"
Min-jun had perfectly evaded the military. He knew that with the new world order, he needed to become powerful, much more powerful than he was at his current state. The chaos was framed behind his lanky, hooded silhouette as he basked in the light of the aurora patterns in the sky. Truly, in this apocalypse, Min-jun sought unrivalled power.
FIVE MONTHS LATER... ...
"The world has truly evolved in these five months... ... I guess science was right, the mind does evolve under strenuous conditions. Most of the world suffered Tower breaks and now, zones known as Plague Zones, exist. The monsters from the towers drove humanity back and continents have long since been reduced to mere strongholds. This continent has one of the world's most massive of strongholds, The New Lotus Alliance. Ministers and governments banned together under the banner of common enemies. As for their head, they had no choice but to elect players.
To keep the actions of players, now called card masters, under supervision, master guilds were formed. These guilds were tasked with managing all masters registered. As for those without affiliated guilds, they had to be assessed by the government before card master identifications were given.
The world has really matured. As for my actions five months ago, they were classified as an urban legend. Soon after, I took down Titanus, new card masters awakened all sorts of abilities and powerful card summons. And now, I can perfectly blend into society... ..."
Min-jun had spent five months non-stop training without cease. He was now of a chiseled physique, a simplistic hair cut that was short enough that it avoided covering his eyes. From his disheveled self, there was a major contrast. He looked at his own face in the mirror, admiring the transformation he had undergone. It was a Sunday, nothing to do, no places to go. He was taking a break from leveling up his deck in plague zones. Seated on his couch, he scrolled through his evov3d status points and skills.
