Min-jun glanced ahead, the desolate ruins perfectly framing the swaying motion of his scaled cloak. Min-jun spun his dagger, raising it to eye level to observe the gleaming sheen of its cutting edge. Dashing into the ruins, he bounced off the capsized buildings in an attempt to get a better view of the environment. A few metres away, he noticed a horde of shadow wolves migrating.
Leaping off the edge of the building, he summoned the Blood-bash Shield and initiated it's special move, Blood Bash.
A torrent of crimson energy sparked from the edges of the shield, gathering at it's face as Min-jun slammed down with it.
"AAAARGH!!!"
[Boom]!!
"It actually worked!! I've been meaning to test out whether blood bash could break my fall... It worked in game so it's not a shock. But still... ..."
Looking over to the spooked shadow wolves, they assumed a pack offensive stance, barring fangs at Min-jun.
"One against seven huh?! I'll bite... ..."
With that said, he blurred from their field of vision, striking one of the Shadow Wolves with ease. The remaining wolves created distance, their night-black fur fluttering in the reddish, polluted sky.
Activating their offense mechanism, they began to charge.
Shadow Wolves were a nasty mob, even in game. With their unique skill, Dark Fang Ambush, they made quick work of players.
This would've been the same for Min-jun. However, he was fully prepared...
"Shadow Magic!..."
Darkness swallowed his form, his blood red eyes, the only visible feature. His form twisted into a thread like mass, slicing through the the shadow wolves with relative ease. The largest wolf among the pack charged at Min-jun, only to be handled with a single wave of his hand.

Shadow Magic - basic level - 30%
"Looks like I just need 70% more proficiency percentages to level up Shadow magic... Which means, I need to get more brutal with my summoning...".
Min-jun sheathed his dagger and put away the Blood-Bash Shield, waving out his hands to summon his cards.
"Let's see... I'll need three humanoid cards and three mecha-cards..."
Mecha-cards: cards that contain New-age Technology, mostly used by the Alchemist and Techno-class card masters.
"Summon; Mell, Avalon and Argoste!!"
Notice: Cards number 44, 31 and 30 have been summoned
Three cards flew from his hand, opening up around him as the tree humanoid characters materialized. Mell Necrose, The Nether Witch, Argoste, The Dark Phantom and Avalon Demise, The Dark Swordsman.
These three cards were all of the demon race. According to Magi-Card game lore, Mell was the outcast of human society turned demonic after she formed a pact with an evil god. As for Argoste and Avalon, they were generals in the demon lord's million-strong army.
Using Mell's summoning magic, she could now summon a maximum of fifteen skeletal warriors, all at iron tier with the basic skill, Slash.
Avalon, a dark armoured knight who flared with intense dark energy. Wielding his dual long swords he charged into the ruins with the fifteen skeletal soldiers at his command.
Mell Necrose stood by Min-jun's side, overseeing the battle field. Argoste morphed his shadowy form into a large Shadow wolf, charging in as the rear guard.
"Master, all is in place for the mass hunt..."
Mell saught the opinion of Min-jun in the matter. Equipping his Dominator mask, he activated form two. The mask morphed into a sleak band that wrapped around his eyes.
"Initiate the tactical avian surveillance technodroids...".
Three sparrow-like machines flew out of card portals. Coupled with his form two, he could see whatever the sparrows saw...
"Spread out and cover a fifty meter radius..."
The droids responded, spreading out to cover the radius Min-jun specified.
"Dominator! Initiate form three".
The sleak band morphed, covering his nose and his lower face. It resembled the lower part of a skull. With form three, his sense of smell was increased along with a voice altering feature.
Walking into the field with Mell, he decided to draw the attention of the monsters in the ruins. With the Blood-bash Shield, he struck the ground, alerting a horde of ogres to his location. The ogres closed in soon after, only to be intercepted by Avalon and the skeletal soldier unit. Argoste as the rear guard eliminated any and all ogres that got past the vanguard. With the help of Mell's dark bullets, they made quick work of over twenty iron-tier, Terrestrial Grade ogres.

"A cool down time?! Shadow magic doesn't have any cool down time. I guess that's the difference between Mythic and Celestial Grade".
A Sparrow droid flew in from east of his current location, reporting a siting. On a holographic screen, Min-jun saw four men surrounding a pink haired girl. With their weapons aimed at her, they seemed poised to do the unjust.
Min-jun considered his options. Was he to ignore? He had been treated wrongly so many times. Was leaving her at the mercy of Fate the right thing to do? Or would it make him the same as his enemies?
