"What's going on?!!"

Activating his card deck, the floating orb of light split into several multi-coloured cards. The cards gathered in over his palm, hovering mid-air before him.
He cautiously reaches for the cards, fascinated with what was happening before his very eyes. The cards suddenly vanished, a spark of light shooting into his left palm, leaving a black flame shaped tattoo.

Note: around the world, several players have awakened. Be vigilant; The Last Days of Anaria are no laughing matter.
Good luck!
A sudden laughter escaped from Min-jun, his world was now alive, no more societal hierarchies based on money. The world was about to turn on it's head. And he was eager to be the ahead in this new world order. From then on, power would soon be the currency of life. With a sadistic visage and trembling, outstretched hands, he summoned his cards.
"Card deck!"
A black screen materialized, showing a list of all his cards grouped by rank, affinity, and category. He knew his deck quite well; there was no mistaking it. He glanced at a single dark affinity card in the deck, a sly grin forming on his face.
He pondered his next course of action, scrolling through his deck. There were several choices for Min-jun; But so little time. His decisions now mattered. He knew that once the card decks were appearing, it meant one thing, the Mayhem Towers would soon follow.
Grabbing a hoodie from his bed, he wore his work shoes and set out, a metallic baseball bat strapped to his back.
"In the game's storyline,Mayhem Towerswere structures that sealed the twenty-one divine plagues. These plagues acted as the overall bosses of each tower, controlling the messed up gimmicks that determined the Tower's difficulty. Their underling populated the tower floors as monsters and sub bosses. Before every Tower raid could begin, a break had to occur, this gave players access to the tower... ..."
Min-jun knew this fact well. This meant that as he spoke, several Tower breaks had occured. The breaks were systematic, occuring in timely manner. His objective was simple, track down the first tower; The Dark Forest.
A system Window materialized, showing the broadcast of the map of Lotus City and the world. Towers were springing up in real life, with the first five towers identified by the system as, in break-phase.
Mounting his father's old motorcycle, he rode for Lotus City, the map identifying the city square as the site for tower one.
In Lotus City:
Min-jun rode by a television shop, the technology destroyed and television sets smashed but somehow functioning. He looked at a news broadcast that gave an overview of the disasters.
Breaking News; "A sudden i-inexplicable disaster has occured!!! The sky is now opened up and countless meteors are falling. Strange towering structures with names and numbers hovering above them have literally sprung up from earth.
In related news, beings of extraordinary power have awakened all around he world, combating the disasters".
"Hmm, Hahaha!! Those fools!! Did they waste their card energy on activating fancy skill cards?!!
They'll realize soon enough, how much they need those energy points".
Min-jun was well versed in Magi-Card. Even with his new gamer persona, he was a force to be reckoned with. Any player that challenged him was doomed to loose a priced card.
He knew what he had to do. In the Lotus City Square, building were set a blaze, cars over turned as menacing entities chased the remnants of human existence.
"Goblins!!!"
Min-jun exclaimed in excitement. He knew that goblins were a gimmick of tower one, looking ahead at the giant structure that scrapped the sky and destroyed the Lotus City subway line.
He targeted a goblin that was distracted with it's prey. It's prey was a mother and daughter, clutching each other tightly as the goblin closed in on them. No one cared, being selfish and running for their lives. This was not the same with Min-jun. He spun the bat, his eyes gone cold with malice as he recalled his game information.
"Goblin, height; 2 feet,
stamina 50%.
A level one monster,
weak spot; Neck!!!"
With his enemy, analysed, he charged in with blinding speed, a trait from unlocking his status. With a swift swing, the bat made a firm strike to the goblin's neck, breaking the bone with smooth efficiency.
"Huh!! I hate level one! If it was in-game, a strike like that would cleave the goblin's head off".
Level up:SHADE has leveled up. Player is now level 2.
With his hood over his red hair and dark-circled eyes, he ignored the mother and daughter, making them painfully aware of the situation of the disaster.
As they scurried off, he looked up at the Tower before him, and decided to head inside.
World Notice: The first Tower has received a challenger; Player one has entered The Dark Forest.
"I hoped the system wouldn't announce that. Oh well, by the time they figure out what to do, I would've stacked up on levels. This should be fun... ...".
