Footsteps start to get closer as more of them come out from the shadows.
"I don't have intentions of stealing anything," I say with a serious tone.
About four of them are around me now with each of their weapons drawn. The feeling of fear is something that I can sense from two of them.
"Then why the hell are you moving towards it?" He asks as he grips his sword harder.
"Don't be stupid. I don't have a reason to steal and I think it is dumb to leave stuff out here. You wanted to confront someone so you could feel like the good guy," I respond while keeping a calm tone.
He seems to be even more upset after realizing that I called him out on his plan.
"Aki say something!" Another person yells at him.
"This guy is obviously going to cause problems!" A girl shouts as well.
My hand lightly goes up to my face as I realize that these humans are dumb.
I'm talking with them calmly and am going out of my way to keep it peaceful... Why is this the way they want it to be? Fighting for the sake of fighting?
Four of them fighting against me with various skill levels is going to be interesting, I don't really want to kill them.
These ones are just dumb so it isn't really worth it.
"Alright! Alright! Let's just get rid of him!" The man shouts before rushing in.
I can hear all of them rush towards me, except for one. Three out of four are rushing towards me while one sits back, why?
Slash!!!!
The first sword rushes past me as I move out of the way, realizing that the first one doesn't know how to use the sword properly.
Whiff!!! Another blade goes past me but this one seems to have a bit more speed behind it.
They didn't expect this idiot to actually initiate a fight against some random person. I'm starting to understand the situation a bit better now that I know what is happening with them.
Weave!
I move out of the way before sending my foot into the gut of the second man in front of me.
"Ufff!!!!" He lets out as my foot connects with his gut.
He gets knocked back onto the ground as the others continue to push me.
"Aki we need to deal with him!" The girl shouts with a bit of panic in her voice.
"Can't we just stop this?" I ask softly while cracking my knuckles.
"Just draw your sword and fight us properly!" Aki responds with frustration.
"I don't want to kill any of you," I say with a serious tone.
He rushes towards me once again and swings his sword towards me multiple times with haste, missing each swing.
After a few more swings I move out of the way and trip him.
THUD!!!
"What the hell man!!!" Aki shouts with anger and frustration.
"You're mad that I'm besting you without a sword? Grow up," I respond with a serious tone.
SLASH!!!!
Before I can react I feel a blade slash across my back, something I didn't originally expect. It is from the girl who's been silent this whole time; She has been planning it out from the moment the fight started.
"Yes!!! Lia managed to get an attack off on him!!!" Aki shouts with excitement.
I ignore the idiot on the ground and quickly shift my attention towards the girl who attacked me. To my surprise, it is a short elf girl with long curly blue hair, grey eyes, and she appears to be wearing leather armor.
She has a serious look on her face which tells me she isn't being stupid like the others.
"I seriously don't want to hurt you or your friends so can we stop this?" I ask nicely.
"A vampire being nice to humans, how sickening."
"What the hell is up with that?!"
"Can't they just die in the shadows or something!"
I take a moment but then I realize that nobody else is speaking at all... Am I hallucinating? She hasn't said a word and the other three are completely silent.
CLANG!!!!
Without even trying I pull out my sword and block her attack.
"Your reflexes are faster than I expected," She says softly.
"Training helps," I reply calmly.
Her pressure against me is insane for someone of her size. The strength is astonishing since I've never met someone like this before.
Taking it in, she's an elf. I noticed that with my first observation but it kind of blew past me for a moment. Elves are real as well it seems... So why are the vampires so hated by humans?
Surely that means other races are also present within the world but yet we are the worst?!?!
Monsters exist then? So tell me why we must be the ones to suffer while worst things lurk in the shadows... Worst then us. I guess I'll never understand how the human mind works.
CLANG!!! CLANG!!!!!
Our blades continue to clash as I listen for the sound of her friends, waiting for any of them to rush me. Surprisingly they are sitting back while she fights against me.
"I can feel the anger in your attacks all of a sudden. Is it because I'm an Elf?" Lia asks with a curious tone.
"It has nothing to do with you," I answer while pushing back against her blade.
"You're not human either," She says while staring at me.
We finally break the exchange and she steps back a few feet; sheathing her sword while the others stumble back a bit more.
"Did you just say he's not human either!?!" Aki shouts with confusion in his voice.
"I don't know what he is but it isn't human," Lia responds with even more curiosity in her voice.
"Are we done fighting now?" I ask, interrupting them.
"Aki it is stupid to keep fighting so let's drop it," Lia suggests.
"Fine," He says with a bit of a grumble in his voice.
