Chapter 37 - Round two begins or something I’m not paying attention

I was hiding in the small building before I remembered that there was a winner's box that I was meant to be in.

'I won't get disqualified for this right?'

As I was trudging over the box while in scout mode and I saw Aoyama's light beam in the middle of the battlefield.

'Zayum.'

I was very much bored.

Although I did see Aoyama's beam I didn't go over there.

After like 10-20 seconds the final person passed and I saw that most of class 1-A had made it.

Turning my attention to a huge screen the arena exploded.

Literally, I mean buildings crumbled and the next round was explained.

We had to find professional actors who were pretending to be bystanders and save them.

The actors themselves would live mark you and could deduct points based on your performance.

Tensions rose in the winners box, mainly class 1-A.

'None of this concerns me.'

The next round started and I used my scout to find my first victi- I mean bystander.

It was an old granny who was laying on the floor. I had noticed a cane lying around just 5 metres away so I bagged it and walked over while assessing the granny.

She didn't have any major injuries, just those that needed a wet towel and a slap on the back.

"Hey there! You okay granny!"

I knelt down next to her. She opened her eyes and croaked.

"Water…"

I pulled out a 300ml bottle that I had been saving for a gaming marathon, I had about 40 of them lying around in my domain's refrigerator.

As she drunk it- holy shit she is chugging that. I helped her up and patted her back.

"Where's my cane?"

"Oh I got it right here granny." I placed it into her hands.

"Okay I'm fine now, well done." She ripped of her fake mask and there was a 40 year old balding man standing there.

He took out a cigarette and lit it.

I turned away and got back to work.

They next one I found was a child.

I wrapped his knees in a bandage while he played with my DS.

"I'm going to get that back after the exam right..?"

He stuck out his tongue. "Okay Mr UA rich boy, yes you should take the DS from the struggling child with bills to pay, so many bills in fact that he had to pretend to be a child in an exam."

"Haaah, you can keep it."

"Heh."

I had found two more people on the ground before an event happened.

It was a villain attack.

'Ooooh, scaryyyy~'

Obviously I knew something was about to go down, with the rising tensions earlier, the fact that this world is based off a shonen manga and various other tells I had deduced that there was going to be either:

A: A legendary crash out.

B: A wholesome event where past trauma resurfaces only to then be defeated in the nick of time.

Or

C: Someone goes off track due to personal feelings and forgets that they are in an exam, ultimately failing.

For option C I would've been leaning towards Bakugo but I decided that he was going to fail anyways, just based off his personality alone.

The villain was Gang Orca and some lackeys. I technically knew of him since the villain hideout raid but since I didn't show myself he certainly wouldn't know me.

A bunch of the examinees just attacked Gang Orca and his lackeys but I stayed on evacuation duty and worked overtime.

There was a bunch of 'civilians' still nearby so I took them away from the more devastating attackers.

Cough cough, Todoroki and the wind user.

'Wind user?'

The wind user was the one who had said plus ultra earlier and had been part of the reason why the winners box was so heated.

'Leaning toward option C now…'

Anyway the Wind user and Todoroki were having a back and forth when Todoroki's flames nearly harmed an unaware examinee.

I would've interfered but I saw Midoriya dashing in.

'I'll leave this to him I guess.'

I got back to work, not before teleporting behind 3 lackeys.

I grabbed one by the neck and slammed them into the ground, hard. Their body bounced and they let go of their cement gun which I grabbed mid air.

They didn't get back up as they were winded.

The other two turned around towards me and I swivled before firing at them point blank.

They took the hit and grunted as they fell to the floor.

I stored the cement gun and got back to evacuating.

'Can't just evacuate people, I'm not bad at taking down villains so I don't want people to get the wrong idea.'

In the distance I could hear explosions and saw a large tornado of fire.

Even the actor watched in amazement.

"Hey, ain't you meant to be bleeding out, man."

"Oh yeah."

After the exam ended we were all shown a huge board with the names of everyone who passed.

Mine was up there so I had passed.

"Yay…" I wasn't sure how to react and after looking around I could see that neither Backugo or Todoroki had passed.

I then looked over the board again and saw Rikido Sato.

I found him in the crowd and gave him a pat on the back.

"You do know I passed right?"

He had misunderstood and thought I was trying to console him.

"Yeah? I was patting you like, uh… well done!"

"Ah."

We grabbed out score sheets to see how many points we had dropped.

"Zayum, we both didn't drop any."

Sato was reading over my sheet.

"I guess so."

And with that, we left the premises.

Until we remembered we had to get a school bus home and walked back, we hadn't gone too far anyways.

I woke up the next morning to hear Bakugo and Midoriya had a fight. They were hoovering the living room.

"Hey Bakugo! Did you get any more or less time doing this cause you won?"

"Tsk. No." He continued hoovering.

'Ahh, that's tragic. They gotta do this for what? Three days?'

Either way Nezu had a big speech today. In the middle of an open space. With an annoyingly cold breeze.

'Haaah.'

My teeth were chattering.

As Nezu wrapped up his speech hound dog gave everyone a right talking to.

It consisted of 'woof' and- wait, no, never mind that was it.

I understood every last word. And that's also why I decided to ignore Vlad King when he summed it up.

Not because he used to hand my ass to me when I was little, no, I could never be so petty.

Did it work?

Anyway we were back in class with Aizawa doing normal things, or at least I assumed it was normal, I didn't tend to pay attention in class.

First period was English with Mic.

'Dammit he's to loud to fall asleep with.'

It was a gruesome hour.

A/N: oh gee whilickers it's so close now, the big 3 are close at hand.
