I sat down in the hospital lobby by myself, Aizawa had to oversee Eri in case her quirk went berserk.
A piece of paper was held in my hand. It was a full reported exam of Eri, done by myself.
It detailed her quirk and her mastery of it, which was nonexistent.
Nezu entered the lobby and quietly sat next to me.
"Well done."
This was as much as I expected, in his mind he now knew that I was going to be a very valuable employee.
Some more silence passed before he broke it.
"You know, technically you did nothing illegal."
"I know."
"Well then, did you plan around the fact that there are no laws against removing someone's quirks. Did you do that in order to punish them in a way that, while morally wrong, means you can't be directly punished for it? As opposed to killing them of course."
"Yeah."
I looked up at the ceiling.
"Then it was well thought out. However, concerning your new powers… we will need your help. Do you know of someone called Gigantomachia?"
"No, why?"
"He's a walking calamity, his quirk, potentially quirks are devastating. It's an enlargement quirk that also provides high defence and he was spotted in the mountains. The heroes couldn't do anything."
"You want me to remove his quirks?"
"Precisely, we wouldn't want him breaking out All for One would we."
"Speaking of, before certain laws are set in place… maybe you could test your drug on a certain someone we know had multiple quirks…"
"How about I ask you something first."
"Go on."
I sighed and brought my eyes to his.
"What are you going to do with Eri?"
He looked away and kicked his legs back and forth.
"I got the report from Aizawa, her quirk is quite volatile and therefore, it would be best to train her so she doesn't go wild.
So, we are going to have one of the faculty adopt her, most likely Aizawa so he can cancel her quirk if need be."
I slumped into my chair and slowly slid down it.
"Great."
I was relieved, but this wasn't enough. Call me selfish or even stupid but it doesn't matter.
A new project was already starting to form in my domain.
'Twenty years huh? Lets pace myself…'
We remained in silence until the others returned.
As I saw Eri visibly brighten after seeing me still waiting I finished my thought.
'…but let's remember to stay in the present though. I won't lose myself.'
I stood up from me seat and patted her on the head as she stood next to me.
She swayed back and forth, clearly content.
But I could tell, she wanted something else, and so I picked her up into my arms and let her snuggle against me.
I noticed Aizawa and Nezu talking after they moved away from me.
A small voice entered my ears.
"What's your name?"
She refused to look up and so I sat down once again.
"My names Takaba Kurusu, but if that's a mouthful you can just call me Taka. However my hero name, that would be Slipstream, you don't have to remember that part though."
"Thank you, Taka."
'Dammit I might die or something man…'
After she fell asleep I noticed Aizawa signing some documents before looking in my direction.
"You're with me now, come on."
He left without checking if I was trailing behind, which I was, albeit carefully as not to wake a certain someone.
I found a black four seater car waiting outside which greeted me with a chirp.
Aizawa got into the front to drive and I clipped Eri into a booster seat before joining Aizawa in the front.
He drove without speaking until we went under a bridge and I could see the gleaming lights of the city from afar.
"She's living with me, as you would've guessed. But we are unsure of her attachment to you so far. It's something we will need to deal with over time, but under Nezu's allowance you can skip classes for a while as she settles in."
'A couple days of then I guess.'
I didn't believe that it would take very long, I was hoping to viewed as a cool uncle or something, the age gap wasn't quite enough to be in that territory granted, so big brother might already be locked in.
'Technically we're like unrelated cousins since our legal guardians are friends or maybe even like a child of a godfather or something.'
Getting into specifics would be too annoying so I looked into the mirror to see a sleeping Eri in the backseat.
Looking back at myself I did not look the greatest. My eyes had bags and were red, I was pretty pale and my hair was all over the place.
I looked away while running my right hand into my damp hair and leaning back.
'Do what's best to your knowledge Takaba, you can't do everything, well you could try but we already know how that would end.'
I fell asleep before waking up as we pulled into Aizawa's driveway.
He lived in a building on campus, only a minute walk from class 1-A's dorms.
The building itself was similar to the dorms, albeit much smaller and more refined for constant stay.
I mean, we were literally standing in a driveway.
That wasn't important right now though, what was important was getting the sleeping Eri out without waking her.
I slowly but surely opened the car door, undid her seatbelt and pulled her into my arms before letting Aizawa show the way ahead.
He led us to a large room with one double bed and one single bed.
"You're both here, make sure she can see you when she wakes up so she doesn't misunderstand anything. Keep her calm and remember, I still have work so it's up to you to look after this child properly and don't worry, Nezu has already handed me your resume…"
'Let's see, proficiency in cooking and cleaning. Yeah, sounds about right.'
I then walked into the room and lay Eri down, on the double bed of course. She needs it more than me.
After I got changed into a full set of lounge-wear I planned to get into the single bed but I remembered Aizawa's words.
"Keep her calm."
Even in my half asleep state I could remember Eri's 'room' at the underground place.
She had a huge bed, but sat in it all alone.
'I can't leave her in that…'
And so I joined her, tucking her in before wrapping my arms around her.
'My arm is gonna be dead in the morning. Then again she is like a walking radiator right now, who cares it's an even trade.'
I quickly fell asleep without a sound.
While asleep my features turned back to normal with time, but a slight change could be noticed if carefully looked at.
My skin was just a tiny bit paler than usual, probably due to stress.
A/N: yap chapters now lol. Until Gigantomachia I suppose.
