The next three days passed by quickly.
I just hung around and watched Eri test some things.
Aizawa had joined us and was helping her train with her quirk.
Today I would be returning to class, signaling the start of October.
I was just about to leave when I saw Eri standing in the hallway.
"See ya later." I gave a salute before closing the door.
The first lesson was maths.
'I didn't miss this at all…'
Midoriya was studying hard for some reason, he still got the question wrong though.
'He's only off by about ten though.'
I had guessed the answer since I was NOT going to be called upon. This wasn't Present Mic's class so I should be fine.
The days passed with nothing spectacular happening.
I did see a lot more of Aoyama, which was actually concerning. He had changed in some way, before I used to never notice him.
'Usually I don't even notice him, so what's changed?'
I couldn't tell since I had never really talked to him before.
After a couple days we were back in Cementoss' training area working on our ultimate moves once again.
My moves weren't flashy, so I just sat down and meditated while concentrating.
Or at least it looked like I was concentrating, I was actually asleep.
'Hmmm, donut…'
—1-A classroom—
Aoyama seemed to be friends with Midoriya now, but that only worsened my view of him.
'Suspicious movements and now he's friends with the main character…'
Something was up and considering that there was talk among staff of a potential mole I could piece things together.
'I'll tell Nezu of my suspicions, but all it will do is tighten security around Aoyama specifically…'
I left these thoughts alone as I saw Ashido doing a breakdance routine for the class.
Sadly I recognised it, it was a routine Midnight had me learn when I first started.
'Haven't tried breakdancing in my new body. Huh.'
I noticed Midoriya's interest as Kaminari suggested that he asks Ashido to teach him.
"How come you're asking me? I'm willing but I thought you'd ask Kurusu instead!"
'She knows.'
I discreetly turned around and started to walk away only to feel a hand on my back.
"I can tell you know it, it's all in your posture!"
Closing my eyes and biting my lip I turned around after exhaling.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." I said rigidly.
"Oh yeah? Are you doubting me?"
'Uh oh.'
"Ha ha…"
I slipped away.
Before remembering I still had class, in which I slipped back into my seat.
Luckily Aizawa came to save the day talking about a school… festival… dear god.
We had to decide before tomorrow otherwise it would be a regular class open house.
It was at the end of the day when I received a call from Sato.
I was busy playing Jenga with Eri so I answered without thinking.
"Hello?"
"For the festival, we decided to go with a concert that also involves breakdancing. Are you in?"
"I refuse."
"EH?! Why?"
"I'm busy that day."
"We literally have school on that day."
"Would I lie?"
"Yes."
…
"Well I'm not, I won't have the time to join you lot throughout the entire festival. Important business you know."
"Can you give me a reason so I can explain to the others?"
…
I muted my microphone.
"Eri, want to go to the school festival?"
"School… festival?"
"Yeah there's going to be lots of sweet things to eat."
She had a sweet tooth.
"I wanna go!"
I unmuted.
"I'm taking Eri around the festival. Okay see ya."
I hung up.
"Checkmate."
Eri picked out a piece and the Jenga tower fell.
"Sometimes my genius surprises even me."
'Wait, I haven't asked Aizawa permission yet…'
"Want an apple?"
She loved apples for some reason, I personally didn't understand it.
——
It was later in the day when I found a YoTube channel. The videos uploaded was some old posh guy committing crimes.
'Why hasn't this channel been taken down yet?'
The videos themselves had tons of views so I would assume that the government would've struck them down.
'Interesting.'
These people either had a ton of plot relevance or none at all, maybe even a side quest.
I decided to not look any further, all in all they didn't harm anyone.
I did note down their name though.
'Gentle Criminal. Well whatever who cares, they're definitely something alright.'
——
It was a month until the school festival so I worked on moving things around and pointing out people's mistakes.
Only the breakdancers mistakes though, and only in places Ashido might've missed.
That Saturday we brought Eri around to UA. She had expressed a want to befriend some of the class.
She remembers Midoriya and Togata so I had told her their names.
"They were there too you know. On that day they would've saved you instead of me if I wasn't there."
Togata actually joined us at the gates and so it was myself, Aizawa, Togata and Eri walking around.
Eri warmed up to Togata really fast, it's just how he is.
We saw class 1-A for a bit and somehow ended up with Midoriya joining us.
'Did we just abduct him?'
I wasn't particularly paying attention, just looking for threats like uneven pavements and bird droppings.
We saw class 1-B and the other members of the big 3.
I stood around doing nothing with Aizawa and let Midoriya and Togata show Eri around.
"They grow up so fast."
Aizawa looked at me.
"You're the same age, Togata is actually older than you."
"Not mentally though."
'Technically I'm in my early thirties but I also feel as though that would be wrong to say, I've never actually made it past being a teenager.'
Somehow we ended up at the support course where I saw Hatsume.
I instinctively placed a portal in front of Eri as an explosion went off.
'Nope, too dangerous.'
She was quickly pulled away from the support course and led to the staff room.
Togata started. "How was it? Feeling comfortable yet?"
Eri looked pensive. "I don't know, but… there are so many people… all working really hard so… I want to see how it turns out."
'Now my slacking is guaranteed.'
Midoriya and Togata looked really happy and Nezu chimed in.
I also noticed Midnight beside him, I hadn't talked to her for days.
'Uh oh.'
After a little speech that I wasn't paying attention to I tried to leave only to find a hand on my shoulder.
It was Nemuri.
"Nice to see you to?"
"Let's have a chat hmm?"
A/N: peer pressure is weird, people have done it to me before but unless I needed to push myself to do it I just say no.
Peer pressure can be used for good and evil now that I think about it (wow - anything to get that word count up huh?)
