The Next day, everyone woke up, anticipation in the air. The tournament was back in action.
Everyone was getting Dressed, speaking about all the fights soon to happen. After eating breakfast, everyone went to the arena.
Nick was finally about to fight David. As David walked into the center of the arena, He took a good look at some of the spectators. Turning,
He saw ace giving him an angry and expectant look.
He too was expecting something. Someone. As he waited for nick, David thought back to that conversation he had last night.

Back in the infirmary, David waited for Nelson's answer. His eyebrows seemed to go up in anticipation. But his face straightened.
"What can you even do anyway? How do I know you won't just go out there and get turned to paste within seconds?"
David shook his head."You'll just have to see it when you get there. I'll beat him, scouts honor."
"DONT BULLSHIT ME" Nelson angrily sat up in his bed. "YOU CAME TO ME WITH A PROPOSAL THAT YOU CANNOT EVEN SHOW PROOF OF!"
He held his head, he felt a migraine developing. "Get out."

Back in the present, he saw the man. As he walked through the crowd, Manh gasps and looks of shock followed. Nelson came up to Him.
"It's great of you to stop by. I'll be accepting all good people I can to watch this."
Nelson had a stern look on his face however.
"If he beats you, I'll finish you off after he's done." He then walked away, To find a seat.
David sighed. "You showing up was helpful anyways." A smile that wasn't full was on his face.
Just then, Everyone parted again. Two guards in robotic armor were holding nick by each side. Fully white with yellow visors, they had what seemed to be sword handles on their waists, but no blades.
That was probably why they were not worried about our powers spiraling out of control. These things were the next step in keeping us in line, whatever they were.
After they had brung him into the middle of the arena, everything was ready. Two fighters were head to head. One looked mildly irritated, the other serene.
Mr baron was on a podium near the actual arena. "You may begin!"
Nick took one look at David and was already over it. He took a look at the sky and took in a deep breath. At this point, he didn't even care about the hit anymore, his heart was no longer in it.
"Yknow, maybe I shouldn't have been so petty over this. I can't believe let a germ with no power get the better of me mentally.
You're not even weak,I could literally walk through you."
David looked at him. Even seeing nick this relaxed,This carefree, thinking he had everything in the bag after doing all this, it was hard to feign calm.
"I'm so confident in my win, I'll give you the one shot you'll be able to make in this fight."
David tapped his face.
Nick walked closer. "I truly am a bad guy. It'll probably only take one punch to leave you in the same condition as your friend. He would've put up a real fight, easy as it would've been."
A fist was thrown at David's face.

POV: Ace
Ace was looking at the results with his eyes wide. 'It seems I've underestimated you.'
David was not the one who had taken the blow, rather Nick who was in shock. He was the one with a punch on his face.
When he had gone to punch David, a portal opened up inches in front of his face. An identical one opened up on the side of his face and a fist that looked just like his came out, hitting him instead.
David stood unaffected, one of his eyes glowing an eerie blue light, as well as both of his hands. "Unfortunately I couldn't allow you to win as I have a promise to fulfill. I do trust you'll try to survive as long as possible, but you can't have it all i suppose."
As Nick Was still in shock, Nelson was wide eyed as well.
In that moment, Ace and Nelson both had the same thought.
'Perhaps you can do your job after all.'
