Why?, why are they sent to investigate the link?... and why did she say she wasn't going any—
Ed remembers the look she had in her face when she talked on the phone before the auction and in the morning
"What does she want me to do?..."
The maid replied
"She said to leave it up to you"

"Today is the 21st, the day gap is supposed to be executed and the day the King shows his face. Why would they send them on such a day... The king... The KING?!"

Ed sat up again and turned to the maid
"Excuse me for a moment..."
The maid steps out of the room, leaving Ed alone inside. After changing,he walks out.
"Follow me,um..."
"Melissa... Your humble servant's name is Melissa"
"Okay Melissa, let's go"
They walked out of the manor and to the car. When Ed got in,he turned to Melissa who was waiting outside
"Come here,I need you to do something for me while I'm out..."
Ed whispers something into her ears and she smiled before nodding.
"As you wish, young master."
Hopefully there would be an answer
Ed drives off to the destination of the link. After about 20 minutes,he arrives at his destination and waits.
For the next one hour,he waited in silence but no one approached, so he made up his mind to enter the link. Dressed in a dark outfit that covers his face, he proceeds to enter
"Black coats..."
"Sir"
A group of 10 men appears and bows.
"We'll be entering the —"
A blade whizzed past him thanks to the deflection of one of the coats as it was originally aimed at him. A group of Chinese samurais walk towards them with a woman behind them. From her style,it was clear she was Chinese.
Oh... So she's really Chinese
"Where's the person that called for my attention... He isn't —"
Black coats?!... That means...
The black coats surrounded the samurais easily overpowering them. Although Ed managed to calm them, some were quite agitated.
"Are you my fiance?"
"Yeah... But I guess we haven't met before"
Thank goodness she isn't 'that' person
"Your name should be xing... If I'm correct"
"Yes but can't I even see your face?..."
"There are some issues to handle right now so it won't be possible but when you stop by, you'll see"
He discussed with her for a while until a black coat reported some matters to him.
"Sir... you're being followed"
So soon?
"I'll leave it to you then"
The black coats assembled at teleported, leaving half of their original number behind. Xing grew impatient and wanted to walk out when Ed stopped her.
"Wait... There were some trivial issues so I sent them to handle it"
"Someone tailing you is a trivial issue?..."
"I mean, I'm not worth much anyways"
Ed smiled while hiding a case he got from Sally in his coat.
"So..."
Ed explained everything to xing regarding his entrance into the link, excluding the part where he came from that world. Xing listened silently to him and gave her opinion on the matter.
He isn't like I taught...
"So..."
"So basically, I need your help in infiltrating the ceremony."
"I don't know if I can, I wasn't invited so I should not know at this point"
"That's not what I meant"
Ed throws his opinion
"I want you to stay with your army outside the link but don't stray too far where I will not be able to sense your energy or vice versa... If anything happens,enter the link and head to the gigs hotel"
Huh?...why
Ed didn't say anything more but left with the black coats into the link. While inside,he made an effort to cover his face to avoid unnecessary attention from the people that might know him. A girl at an alley way spots him and smiles
Later that day, they arrived at a hotel where Ed is to stay. That hotel happened to be where the scouting group with Sally were staying. After spotting another black coat in the building,he deduced that Sally was either staying in the building or is close by
"Coats..."
Two members of the black coats appeared in front of him. He motions them to rise to their feet.
"Can you find Sally for me,in this building?..."
"Yessir."
Without wasting a second, the disappeared to execute their task.
Ed entered his room to rest but bumped into a boy who was in a hurry to leave. Since his room was a VIP, entrance was highly restricted and it seemed to boy had stolen something. Nevertheless,he ignored him and entered the room. One his bed was a note, with his family seal on it. After picking it up,he turned to the door and smiled. Just then the hotel blew up, from his room, destroying the whole floor.
-----5 minutes prior------
Sally walked through the garden, while talking with Arthur. Their conversation was mostly trivial stuff but they enjoyed each other's company. A black coat descended and whispered softly into her ears.
Whatever she heard changed her countenance. She greeted Arthur one last time before running off. Arthur on the other hand left to join his other team members.
Just as Arthur approached them,a loud explosion erupted, stunning them. Since it was in the direction where Sally ran off to, Arthur turned and followed after her.
In the midst of all this chaos, guards rushed outside in hundreds,all with the Same goal
Although it wasn't said loudly, Sally heard it clearly as she walks past them.
"gap has escaped!"
Gap?... who is Gap
Sally reached the hotel minutes later with Arthur right behind her. After summoning the black coats,he turns to them
"Where's my brother..."
"Ma'am,we couldn't enter the place after the fire started but we're sure he's not in there. "
"Huh? That isn't what I asked"
"..."
The black coats remained silent as anything they do could mean death. After taking a deep breath, she turns to them again
"Who's Gap?"
