The Old Elder raised a brow in confusion as he struggled to sit up on the hospital bed. He didn't actually expect a moment of silence from the couple in front of him, as he thought they were going to give him grandchildren before he passed away soon.
Seeing the Old Elder's face turning sour, Westley had to come up with this, "Very soon, Grandpa, I promise." He said with a slight nervous smile.
That seemed to work, as the old elder's sour expression dissipated, giving way to a wide grin that reached his aged eyes.
However, Eden soon arrived, with no one following him. Westley's eyes, previously filled with a desperate hope for his grandfather's sake, hardened the moment he saw Eden standing alone.
The silence in the room became a suffocating weight.
With a narrowed gaze, he asked coldly. "Why are you back without bringing any medical staff for my grandfather?"
