"Huh," The Old Elder, who had been silent for all this while, was bewildered.
He said, "Little Sixth, how could you say that! You know Evie loved you more than she would think of falling in love with Dustin."
Evie had known from the start that Westley was in love with her, despite their marriage contract. What she hadn't anticipated was the irony of his deep affection– he seemed to think her falling for his cousin was a logical outcome, despite their shared agreement to avoid any romantic attachments with the opposite gender.
Westley still wasn't convinced by his grandfather's words. He only wants to hear from Evie, who stiffened from shock.
After a brief moment of silence, Evie's face became serious.
"I'm married to you, Westley. Why would I think of falling for your cousin, whom I barely know?" She replied, undoubtedly.
Westley said nothing. Instead, he lowered his head and gestured to Dustin.
"Come in!" He murmured.
