"Are you a medical professional or a med student?" Dr. June asked, bewildered. He was finding it hard to believe the reality he was experiencing.
"I'm not," Evie answered simply.
Dr. June was rendered speechless.
He originally thought the woman in front of him was just being stupid when she asked to administer the treatment to the old man herself, since he was busy attending to an urgent patient. Never in a million years will he believe a non-medical layperson would be able to handle injecting a patient successfully without causing any effects. Even during his time as a student doctor, he was never allowed to handle an injection until his second year of medical school.
Out of formal respect, he extended his hand for a handshake and said, "You really amaze me, ma'am. I love your intelligence and confidence."
Evie received his extended hand politely.
"Thank you, sir."
