Chapter : 2 : Let's Change The Plot Then :
" Ding ! System Notification : Plot Changing System ( Activated ) : "
" What is this ? "
Looking at the sudden emergence of the blue screen infront of him Cian was for a moment shocked still .
However soon this shock turned into excitement as he looked at the blue screen in front of him with metaphorically shining eyes .
" Yes !!! This is my golden finger . "
" I was thinking how could someone get reincarnated in a situation like this and don't have a golden finger . "
When Cian understood that he was in a new world which was like a cliche novel writing scenario he felt - ' Why do I not have a golden system with me ' .
As he saw no sign of the so called golden system coming , he started to fear that he would have to totally rely on himself in the future .
" It's seems that I was not that much unlucky after all . "
But fortunately now he does have a ' golden system ' .
" Alright system tell me more about yourself and what functions do you have . "
" Ding ! System Notification : Congratulations host you have gained the plot changing system .
With this system as long as you change anything related to the plots of the original story line you will get random rewards .
This rewards will depend on the level of plot change .
Each level of plot change and consequent rewards are classified into following tiers .
They are as follows :
Tier : 1 :
Nature: Minor Alteration :
These are changes that affects minor events in the original story line . However it's not significant and will not have any real consequence in the world .
For Example : Saving a minor side character from getting expelled from your Academy or taking a small magical item that was meant for the hero party .
Rewards Classification : Good :
For Example : Low tier passive abilities , Local currency , etc .
Tier : 2 :
Nature : Mid Impact :
This changes directly impacts the path of a minor character and indirectly affects the main characters of the original story line .
For Example : Beating a small third rate villain early who was supposed to be a stepping stone for the hero , performing very good on a Academy event where you were supposed to be behind of the class , etc .
Rewards Classification : ' Excellent ' :
For Example : Martial arts techniques , new magic spells , better passive abilities , etc .
Tier : 3 :
Nature : High Impact / Significant Shift .
This changes directly impacts the main characters of the original story line and have massive impacts on the world.
For Example : Saving the king from being ambushed , stopping two important characters from meeting in a particular important time , etc .
Reward Classification : Rare :
For Example : Legendary items , Unlocking new and unexpected powers , etc .
Tier : 4 :
Nature : World Cataclysm :
This changes permanently affects the original story line and the impact on the world and the main characters are immense .
For Example : Ending the journey of the hero , taking a powerful blessing meant for the hero group for yourself , etc .
Reward Classification : Epic :
For Example : World's Comprehension , Divine artifacts , etc .

After reading the message in front of him Cian felt his blood boiling in excitement .
This is exactly what he needed .
Why would he care about the plot if he can get reward by changing it .
But looking at the last 4tier his eyes narrowed slightly .
' Ending the hero of the story ? That literally mean's destroying the entire plot line . '
This was indeed a change that could be called - ' World Cataclysm . ' level .
And the rewards from it must be very high as well .
However for now he has no intention of doing anything like that .
First of all he was not strong enough to do that .
From what he remembered from his previous life the hero and his sister will be entering the academy just like him as first year scholarship students .
Although the hero was not quite intelligent in terms of academics he was indeed strong person fighter with natural talent for both becoming a wizard and a warrior .
And while Cian himself was not weak it was still not comparable when you match him against the protagonist of the story even if when they are both beginners.
The second reason is that the hero's actions in the future will create a lot of storyline and plot events .
This special events are not something that will happen naturally in the story but will required the hero's presence .
So if he wants to take advantage of those timings then he will need the hero and his little group of followers alive .
So for now at least they are better alive to him then gone .
However even without the above reasons there was also another matter .
It was that he did not quite hate the hero to go against him like this .
" I mean the guy is not exactly my kind of Hero but still he is not a bad guy . "
If Cian were to describe the hero of the original story whose name is Zeal Cloudseaker it would be similar to a typical shonen protagonist .
Yes ! that's the easiest way to describe him .
Zeal Cloudseaker was optimistic , energetic and a little dim - witted character .
He was a genuinely good person who always thought highly of his friends and would go too far length for them .
" But just I said before he is somewhat dim witted . "
He was like the character who was way too stubborn , and believed in the ' power of friendship ' to overcome any obstacles .
And just like any other protagonist of this kind of characteristics , Zeal often did not follow any plans or strategies .
It was also the reason why many people from his previous life called The Hero ' The Foolish Hero . '
And to some extent even Cian would say they were correct .
After all if you abandon an well thought strategy and just go inside a fight with your sword in hand just because you believe in your ' Power Of Friendship ' then - yes ! you are not only foolish but you are also an idiot .
In the novel they were many times where he and his team would have met their end because of his recklessness .
And it was only the plot armour that saved them at the end of the day .
But still that does not mean Cian hated the man .
" Because for all his stupidness he was still a good man with a big heart . "
To stand for your friends and for the innocent when they were in trouble , despite knowing that you would be in danger - that takes courage and a big heart .
In the novel there were many times when Zeal Cloudseaker was overpowered by his enemies and had little to know chance of winning and yet he stood there and fought with all he had.
Not because he wanted glory for himself .
Not because he wanted to show off to someone .
He stood and fought there because he had people to protect .
That's what a true hero looks like .
And even if at the end of the day it was the plot armour that saved the situation , the fact that he had the courage to put himself in that situation was enough to tell about his character .
After all he does not know that he has some kind of a plot armour that will eventually save him .
To him he was risking his life with nothing else but to save people he loved .
" So until it becomes really necessary , I don't want to actually end someone like him . "
But that does not mean Cian is not going to mess with him .
' Oh no ! On the contrary I intend to teach him some valuable lessons . ' - Cian thought to himself while cracking his fingers .
" And if he were to come in my way then he will only have himself to blame . "
So in short Cian will not be directly against the hero or any of the main characters without any good reason .
But he will not become one of their followers either .
Cian was done being told what to do , as he had done in his previous life .
Now he will do what he wants to do .
" Ding ! System Notification : Host since you came to this world you have already changed the trajectory of the original story line slightly.
As such it will be counted as a Tier : 1 Change and you will be rewarded with a random ' Good ' reward .

Looking at theinformation in front of him Cian suddenly felt as if he was wronged.
" System what kind of calculation is this ? Me being here is literally like putting a hole in the main storyline from the beginning . "
" And you are telling me that this is only counted as a tier one change ? "
Right now Cian felt like he was being scammed by this system .
" Ding ! System Notification : Host while your present in this world is indeed something big . However since you have not yet changed something truly big in the world your presence has little to no effect .
That means your presence is the same as the one original Cian V Keolos had before.
As such your arrival is considered only a tier 1 change .
However in the future when you change various plots and your presence in the world increases then the system will update the information and then the change broad by your presence will be considered of higher level . "
" Wait does that mean in the future when my presence importance increases in the future , I will get more rewards ? "
" Ding ! System Notification : Host you are correct in your assessment .
Let me be clear here you are not getting rewards just because you have changed the events .
But you are getting rewards because the original Cian V Keolos was not supposed to be involved in those things and by changing the plot for the original owner you will be getting the rewards .
But remember whether or not this will happen will totally depend on the system's evaluation of your future presence and actions . "
Suddenly a flash of excitement came in his eyesas a grin formed on his face .
So doesn't that mean that as long long as he can make his presence more significant in this world or change the original owner's actions he will get at least three more better rewards in the future .
That's like getting tree lotteries you did not expect .
With that all the bitterness he felt just a moment ago vanished as if it never existed .
" Alright system give me the ' Good ' reward you mentioned just now . "
" Ding ! System Notification : Host has completed a tier 1 change event and as such as gifted with a random ' Good ' reward .
Ding ! Congratulation Host you have received a passive ability - Mana Efficiency : This passive ability reduces the mana cost by 5 percent for every spell casted .

" What a great ability ! "
Looking at the passive ability in front of him Cian couldn't help but think .
' If this is just a reward given after completing tier 1 change, then what would other higher tier rewards look like."
After all don't underestimate a passive ability like this .
While it may not be a big thing if you look only at the 5% number .
But remember when locked in a prolonge battle this 5% mana alone could mean the difference between life and death .
Especially when you are fighting an opponent who is on the same level as you or perhaps stronger than you .
Now armed with this new power and a system Cian V Keolos looked at himself in the mirror and then towards the academy building outside the window .
From a distance he could see multiple people going around in the Academy with a lot of new students among them .
And without a doubt the hero and the other main characters must also be present over there .
And before this he was just a side character not were the enough to be shown in the novel .
But now he was no longer the same and he was determined to prove it.
" Let's change the plot then !!!! "
