Third person POV
For the next 5 days, Karolo had been going around the city exploring while trying to spend less to save up for the future. He had no idea what to do in this world, nor did he find a career that suited him, trying to think of one from a wide array of jobs available to him. As of now, his level is still Level 1, and Karolo has been staying in a cheap inn all this time.
But then, Day 6 came in, and while Karolo was going across the city, one man from a cathedral tower rang the bell because…
"Upcoming war!" the man shouted whilst ringing the bell. "The end was near!"
Karolo and everyone in the area heard that, and then, magical attacks struck a few buildings there, causing chaos to erupt from it. Karolo and some of the people ran for their lives as zombies and demons flooded the streets and caused destruction and bloodshed. Those who were unlucky to escape perished.
And then, some of the city guards and knights, armed with swords, various magic, muskets, and AR-15s, came to the scene and began fending off the invaders as much as they could. Karolo was shocked. "What is this?!" Darkhtan, as well as half of the province, got involved in a war called the Cursed War.
And then, a squad of hooded figures came down to the scene while summoning more demons and zombies, most of them on motorcycles with chains of death, to clear what was on their way. Those who summoned are called the Deathcallers, which were occultic figures with forbidden magic that was very forbidden in this world's societies. Some of these hooded figures who don't summoned with magic are the guards of the Deathcallers. These guys had not only had black hooded clothing but also, bulletproof vests, guns, and sometimes, magical bomb vests that can be detonated upon magic command. Guns consisted of pistols, machine guns, shotguns, submachine guns, sniper rifles, and a few others. Chaos gets even more destructive and bloody thanks to them.
Upon seeing all this extra chaos and bloodshed while hiding in an alleyway between tenement buildings, Karolo was utterly shocked. "What in the world? Chaos? You're kidding me! No way!" He then gets out and tries to sneak his way out of this chaotic war in this city. Both sides fought each other constantly with all their might and power. Dead bodies of zombies got erased from existence upon being killed. But Karolo will be caught in this crossfire soon…
