Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Tina knew it was early, but she had purposely gotten up early so that she could send off the emails before any of them were going to be up and so that the packing that she did was not going to be noticed by Diana who she still could not believe was not her mom and she was tricked for so many years.

Tina thought that she could go to a hotel and get some rest before going to bed then go to bed early today and then she would be able to get an early start in the morning, and then take off early the next day to set off on her adventure. After all, she didn't like driving, the jag was just too much for her and there was no way that she wanted to be trying to handle that expensive of a car when she was tired and could make a mistake with it.

As Tina gathered her food in the to-go box she glanced around the room once more and again it looked like everyone was watching her every movement. She had a brief thought about flashing them her chest or her panties. Just for the reaction that they would give but she knew that it was bad enough with her dressed the way that she was she hated to think how bad they would be after that and there was no way that she wanted any of them following her to a local motel.

Just thinking those thoughts sent a chill down her spine. As she looked around the room, she saw that there were at least 6 of the men that she would have to say would try and rape her if she gave them a chance, and it looked like there were more that would either just watch, and enjoy the show, or try and join in the fun. The longer she stood there looking the worse she started to feel about it. So, she quickly grabbed her purse and the box and went outside.

Tina had been to a few clubs that had made her nervous before when she and her boyfriend were going around to different places. Most of the time that would make them turn around and just leave, but there were some major differences now. First was that she was alone now, with no boyfriend to get them away from her if they started to try something. The other thing was that it looked like there was something very crappie about this place the whole vibe was weird they had great food and a super great waitress, but she would never want to go in there again.

Tina dug in her purse as soon as she was out of the door for her car keys, she normally would have had them in her hand before leaving the table, but all the looks and they were watching her so intently that she just wanted to get out of there. As she looked through the window, she saw that there were several tables that were now trying to get the waitress to come over so that they could pay for their meal and leave. It was like they had just waited for her to get up and go before they did.

Tina looked over at her car, it looked brand-new and was in mint condition, it stood out from everything around it. The car was a few years old but since she was scared to take it out of the garage it had spent most of the time that she owned it unmoving. As she looked around the lot she saw that it looked like a few of the semi-trucks were on the newer side but other than them all the cars looked like they were mostly at the end of their lives. They were all rusted out and the paint that she could see was faded.

Tina thought from the looks of the cars that she really had gotten off the main path that most people traveled. It was not just that lack of traffic that told her it was like she had stepped away from everything modern. She found herself hoping that when she gets to town at least some of the things are updated.

As Tina looked, she was heading for her car, she wanted to be long gone before any of the guys from the diner were out in their cars. She doubted that any of them would follow her, but there was no need to take any chances. She knew that if she had to run from them that her car could do it, as long as she could just keep it under control.

Tina was just about to get to her car when she saw a little bit of movement out of the corner of her eye. When she turned to look, she saw that it was the big fat dirty guy that was at the counter at the diner. They had made him leave but they didn't send him away completely.

When she saw something moving, she turned to face it and they locked eyes he made a kissing motion to her and then a huge smile on his face showing that most of his teeth were missing and the ones that he had left looked black and rotten except for 4 that were kind of clumped together and stained a dark yellow.

It didn't take Tina long to see why he was smiling at her as she saw his arm moving, she could tell that he was rubbing himself and all she could think was that she was glad that she was not any closer than she was.

Tina was more than happy to turn away from the sight but as she did, she closed her eyes and had a flashback of that nasty animal sliding his head up under her skirt again. She shook her head trying to get the image out of her mind as she hurried to her car. Tina thought that if she could just get in her car and pull away that he was distracted enough to want to finish that should give her at least a little time. If not, he should not be able to drive that well one-handed and distracted.

Tina clicked the remote start button to get the car to start up. She hardly ever used this feature but now she was glad that she was going to be able to not even have to wait for that. She looked in the back seat like always and was glad to see that it was empty. She threw her purse in the passenger seat along with the food. She was more than ready to get out of this crazy place.

Now she was doubting that she wanted to stay here since her car stuck out like a sore thumb. With the luck that she had been having lately the chances were that if she would get a room in a motel one of the guys from the diner would either have a room next door or would own the motel that she was staying in.

Tina started thinking that it would just be better to move on after all she was not that tired just yet but then she thought they were kind of out in the middle of nowhere and she was not sure just how far it was going to be before she gets to the next town.

Tina turned on the navigation system in the car to see where she was and in which direction and how far she was going to have to go to get there. As the system came up she glanced at the door and then back at the discussing guy that was still beating off while he was looking at her.

A quick thought of calling the cops and having the guy taken away crossed her mind again but there was no way that she wanted anything to make her stay here now more than ever.

As Tina saw that some of the men were walking out the door she pulled out and just let the system finish booting as she was driving. It was not like she had planned to put anything in it, she still had no idea where she wanted to go, but she did know that she didn't want to stay here. She hit the street and just started driving and as soon as she hit a light she zoomed out the map it just looked like the nearest town was going to be about 90 minutes away and that was going to be a small town as well it was going to be 3 or 4 hours of driving to get to a city that had any real size to it.

Suddenly Tina heard a horn behind her that made her jump. She had not been paying any attention to the light or if there was any traffic behind her. The light had turned green and there was a bunch of cars lined up behind her that were waiting to move.

Tina said, "Sorry." Even though they could not hear her.

Tina pushed on the gas a little harder than she thought that she was going to, and her car lurched forward as it burnt out. She quickly took her foot off the gas and the car leveled out. She thought that she was going to have to be careful not to do that again.

She blushed with the embarrassment of tearing off like that but at least it was good to know that the car could do it if it had to. Not that she was ever planning on doing that on purpose and dreaded the thought that she would ever have to.

Tina looked back in the rearview mirror through the smoke that came off her tires and saw just how much distance she had put between her and all the other cars and thought that she was glad that there was not a cop watching. She thought that she really didn't do anything all that wrong, but she was sure they would have pulled her over for something and she accidentally went over the speed limit before she reacted to it.

Tina thought well that kind of put me on this road leading to town as the only option that I really have, but maybe they with have some parking in the back where the car is not going to stand out as much or even if she is not parking right outside the door even if they see the car, they won't know which room she would be in.

Tina saw that Jenny was right, the town was not far and there were three different places where she could stay. The first one that she came across was a bed and breakfast. It looked very quaint but she figured that she would check on that one last because she was not a couple and that was the type of place that couples went to help fix their relationship and they usually charged a lot for the rooms. The second one that she came across was attached to a bar and sitting next to an adult entertainment place it looked old and run down but the places looked packed.

Tina figured that that sort of place charged by the hour just looked like you might catch something just by going into the rooms let alone trying to sleep on the beds.

The third place she was glad to see was a nationwide chain; they were not known as the best or the most expensive, but she figured that at least they would all have basically the same service as everywhere else.

Now that she had seen all three, she understood why such a small town had three because most people would only stay at the two the other just looked like it was used by people looking to have a place to get off.

Tina looked the place over as she pulled in. There was a big enough parking lot that she could park anywhere, and they would not know which room she had. There was close parking two but she figured since she was traveling alone that she should not show her room.

Just the thought that she was traveling alone made her sad, she had not been thinking about everything that much but when she did, she would start crying again.

Tina pulled into the parking lot and sat there for a minute. So that she could calm back down and wipe the tears away. Then she fixed her face, the last thing she wanted to show was that she had been crying. Too many people are already asking what was wrong and want to help when there is just nothing that they can do. It always makes her have to talk about it, and that makes her feel even sadder.

She was glad that she was in no time frame to do anything. She had as much time as she wanted to do everything. If it took a little longer to get herself ready, then that was what it took. There was nothing or no one that was waiting on her.

Once she felt herself again and ready, she made her way to the front desk.

The Woman at the desk looked like she was in her late 50s to mid-60s she was super thin and kind of frail looking. You could tell just by looking at her that she had been a hardcore smoker for years and there was no way that she would even try to stop now.

The woman gave her a warm smile and said, "Welcome. How can I help you?"

Tina said, "I need a room for the night."

"Just one night then? What kind of room are you looking for?" The woman asked.

Tina thought for a minute and didn't want to just blurt out that she wanted the cheapest thing that she had but there was no way around it. She gave her half of a smile and said, "I was kind of looking for a more inexpensive room."

Tina knew that she had the money no matter what it was, but she knew that at this point she was not making any. If she went wild with it she would quickly run out and then be stranded unless she tapped into the trust fund. That was for emergencies or something really big.

She smiled at Tina and said, "I know what you are looking for. Shh, I'll give you the special room rate it's a little cheaper since I don't think we are going to fill up anyway."

Tina gave her a smile back that sounded great, she knew that this type of hotel was not at the top of the list of places to stay but it was known as one that was ok and had decent standards.

Tina got all checked in and then went to her car and pulled out the things that she was wanting in the motel with her. She looked around and the place had a pool, and a hot tub, as well as a little workout place. She knew that the pool and the hot tub would make her feel so much better, but the last thing that she wanted to do was hang around the pool in a mini bikini. Especially after the way that she was treated at the diner. She thought that maybe she would feel more like it once she relaxed, and it gets a bit later.

Tina was glad that she was not on the first floor and that they had an elevator, it was not like she wanted to go up a bunch of stairs with her luggage and this way she didn't have to worry about anyone trying to peek through the windows. Tina thought she was thinking really paranoid now and that was not like her, she was realizing just how much that diner was messing with her head.

She had to admit when she closed the door and locked it, she did feel a lot better and a lot more secure. It was like she could finally breathe easily and just let everything go. She laid on the bed and curled in a ball and let all her sadness that she had been holding back flow out of her. There was no holding back now or no holding it in the tears came raining down her cheeks and she didn't care. She drifted off to sleep as the tears flowed out of her.

Tina was startled awake as there was a pounding on the door.
