Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Welcome to the Marvel Universe

"A dungeon? No way?"

Allen Walker was visibly surprised as he looked at the mossy cobblestone in front of him.

While he had seen dungeons many times in the game, it was quite rare to stumble upon one just by digging down with a pickaxe.

Allen Walker had Steve dig away the mossy cobblestone, then peered inside. He found a very small and dark space. In the center of the ground, a monster spawner was placed. Accompanied by the particle burning effect, several Zombies appeared out of thin air and began to walk and wander around the room.

And in the corner of the room, a wooden chest lay quietly.

As everyone knows, no one except Dark Souls players can resist the temptation to open treasure chests in games.

Even Allen Walker was no exception.

If Steve were still naked, Allen Walker might have been more cautious.

But now he was fully armed, right? With this gear, he even dared to solo the Ender Dragon on the server, so fighting a few Zombies now was as easy as slaughtering chickens and dogs, wasn't it?

Thinking of this, Allen Walker waved his hand directly.

Steve received the command, immediately swung the pickaxe in his hand to dig through the mossy cobblestone, and then his iron sword was swung into a blur of blades. The few Zombies couldn't even resist and all turned into rotten flesh on the ground.

After dealing with the Zombies, Allen Walker used torches to seal the spawner and block the dungeon's opening. Only then did he swagger over and open the chest.

The contents of the reward chest were quite ordinary: a few gold ingots and a common golden apple.

And a very strange golden-bound book.

"Hmm?"

Seeing this uniquely shaped golden-bound book, Allen Walker was also puzzled: "What is this?"

It was clearly not an enchanted book, because enchanted books actually have brown covers and glow with a faint purple enchantment effect on their surface, but this book's cover was golden.

Allen Walker studied the book for a moment and found that its item name was a string of English: 'Marvel Comics'. For some reason, this string of English felt incredibly familiar to Allen Walker, but unfortunately, Allen Walker was a complete English idiot. Although the string of English felt familiar, he still couldn't understand its meaning.

It was certain that this book was an item from a certain mod.

But...

How should he put it?

Allen Walker really couldn't remember which mod this was from.

Adhering to the mentality of "if I don't know, I might as well right-click it and see," Allen Walker directly had Steve use this golden-bound book.

However, to Allen Walker's surprise, the moment the book was opened, a monstrous black mist suddenly surged out of the book, completely engulfing Allen Walker and Steve.

"Achievement Unlocked: One-Way Journey."

As the cold electronic voice echoed in his mind, Allen Walker felt his vision plunge into darkness, and a sensation of rapid falling spread throughout his body. But this strange feeling only lasted for a few seconds, and then everything returned to normal.

Allen Walker opened his eyes and found himself in a strange place.

It looked like a cave, very dim all around. A large pile of miscellaneous items was haphazardly placed on a nearby table, and not far away there was a heavy iron door. A dull, foul odor permeated everything.

Upon seeing this scene, Allen Walker was visibly stunned.

This place was clearly Earth. Although he didn't recognize this specific location at all, everything here was incredibly real. The exposed rocks in the cave were all irregularly shaped and had not been forcibly organized into 1-meter x 1-meter cobblestone blocks.

"I'm back?"

Allen Walker was a little excited. Although he wasn't sure what was going on, he hadn't expected to actually return. This was truly wonderful; he finally had a chance to go back and see his family.

However, before Allen Walker could rejoice for long, a commotion suddenly came from outside. Immediately, the large iron door was violently pulled open, and a large group of armed men were walking in, dragging two blood-stained captives. When they looked up, they happened to see Allen Walker inside.

In an instant, both sides froze in place.

"¥*F#(K)!?"

However, before Allen Walker could say anything, the group of people reacted first, directly raising their guns at Allen Walker and continuously speaking words he couldn't understand at all.

"Holy crap..."

Seeing the guns in their hands, Allen Walker also panicked a little. After all, he was a modern person, and fearing this kind of thing was already an instinctive reaction. At this moment, he subconsciously raised his hands: "Uh, that, I... this... uh... crap, brain, move, think of something!"

"System Notification: Localization Mod is downloading."

"What?"

Hearing this sudden voice, Allen Walker was also startled, but before he could react, the group of people opposite suddenly made their move.

With a bang of a gun, Allen Walker felt a huge force directly from his glabella.

The next second, he uncontrollably fell backward.

"HAHAHHA!"

Seeing Allen Walker fall, the group of people immediately let out cruel, mocking laughter.

In contrast, the two captives looked more agitated. One of them kept shouting things like "NO!" and "You demons!!!"

"HAHAHA!!!"

But the more agitated these two captives were, the more excited these people seemed to become, their faces all showing mocking and triumphant smiles, as if they were enjoying the scene.

But soon, they couldn't laugh anymore.

Because they saw Allen Walker's 'corpse' slowly standing up again.

"You damn bastards, you think I'm Kennedy, huh?"

Allen Walker slowly straightened his body. At this moment, his glabella had been pierced by a bullet, a hole going directly from his forehead to the back of his head. But strangely, he seemed completely unaffected, not even a drop of blood flowing from the wound.

In fact, Allen Walker was fine.

Even with a headshot, he didn't feel even the slightest bit of pain.

Instead, Steve inexplicably lost half a heart.

However, it was precisely because Steve lost half a heart that the originally nervous Allen Walker gradually calmed down, because he finally remembered his current identity.

How could a Stand User with a powerful Stand be afraid of a group of ordinary people with guns?

Thinking of this, Allen Walker's expression gradually turned cold.

If it were an anime perspective, then an ominous purple aura would probably be fiercely burning around Allen Walker.

Perhaps there should also be some kind of oppressive background music playing at the same time, a terrifying aura sufficient to portray Allen Walker as a true villainous big BOSS.

Steve emerged like a ghost from behind Allen Walker, his expressionless face looking particularly eerie.

After personally experiencing the danger and cruelty of this World, Allen Walker's already weak moral compass instantly collapsed. The combat skills Steve had honed over hundreds of days and nights in the game finally bore fruit at this moment. With a slight thought, Steve rushed forward like a phantom, aiming a jumping slash at the bearded leader.

The big bearded man first froze, then a thin line of blood began to extend downwards from his forehead.

The next second, his body fell to both sides without any warning, his internal organs spilling out onto the ground with a splattering sound. The pungent smell of blood quickly permeated the air.

"Uh... uh ah ah ah!!!"

Seeing their companion's horrifying death, the rest of the people immediately screamed in terror, raised their guns at Allen Walker, and began to spray wildly.

However, the result was different from last time.

This time, the bullets flying towards Allen Walker strangely paused in mid-air.

Steve, holding a shield as thick as a door, blocked all the bullets shot at Allen Walker.

But ultimately, Steve was just an illusion condensed from mental will, so ordinary people couldn't see him except for 'peers'.

It was precisely because of this that, to the people on the opposite side, it seemed as if Allen Walker had stopped the bullets out of thin air.

"!?"

Seeing that Allen Walker could even block bullets, the group of people opposite became even more terrified. They continuously pulled the trigger at Allen Walker. In an instant, countless flames spewed out, and the durability of the shield in Steve's hand began to rapidly decrease.

Allen Walker's eyes narrowed slightly. Under his mental control, Steve quickly pulled out a few cobblestones and placed them in front of him.

The bullets hitting the cobblestone made crisp clinking sounds, and sparks flew everywhere with stone chips.

Soon, everyone emptied the bullets in their magazines, but even so, they still frantically pulled the trigger. The firearms in their hands made clicking empty sounds, but not a single bullet could be fired anymore.

And facing the terrified crowd, Steve coldly raised the Iron Sword in his hand.

How terrifying is a monster that can turn invisible and split a person vertically in half with one slash?

When Steve once again diagonally split a person in half, these armed guys finally had a mental breakdown and began to scramble and flee outwards.

Allen Walker did not continue to pursue.

Of course, this wasn't to say that he had suddenly developed a kind heart or anything.

Instead, just now, that strange electronic voice sounded in his mind again.

"System Notification: Localization Mod download complete. Load now?"

"Localization Mod?"

Hearing this information, Allen Walker was also subconsciously stunned: "What is this mod for? Is there anything in the Minecraft World that needs to be localized? Wait... could this thing be able to translate the English on that golden-bound book from before?"

"System Notification: Localization Mod download complete. Load now?"

The electronic voice completely ignored Allen Walker, just mechanically repeating the previous information.

"Hmm... alright then." Allen Walker pondered for a moment, then nodded in agreement: "Then let's try loading it."

"System Notification: Localization Mod loaded successfully."

"System Notification: As you have downloaded and run a brand new mod, you have obtained a lucky block. This lucky block will randomly draw an item from any known mod."

As this electronic prompt sounded, Allen Walker felt a subtle stinging sensation suddenly appear in his mind, as if something strange had been added. At the same time, a colorful block also appeared in Steve's backpack.

"lucky block?"

Seeing the colorful block suddenly appear in his backpack, Allen Walker also showed a surprised expression. He certainly knew about the lucky block mod, which could draw good items from the vanilla game after opening it. But this lucky block in his hand could even draw mod items... This must be a version that someone has modified, right?

Now Allen Walker was also a bit confused. He really couldn't figure out how this 'any known mod' was calculated.

Was it the mods in his current modpack?

Or... as long as it was a mod he knew, it was included?

"Hey, friend, how did you do that just now? Is it witchcraft?" Just as Allen Walker was thinking, a voice suddenly sounded, and then two sneaky figures poked out from the corner.

Allen Walker subconsciously looked back, and the next second, his whole body froze: "I... Iron Man?!"
