Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The correct use of Steve

I have to say, Tony Stark truly is a genius.

Even in such a difficult environment, he still successfully created that miniature arc reactor.

Just as depicted in the Iron Man 1 storyline.

Of course, due to the emergence of Allen Walker, an unpredictable factor, Stark is not currently trying to build the Mark I suit and escape with it as he did in the original story.

And Yinsen did not die because of it.

However, after witnessing the Terrorists' atrocities firsthand, a seed of change had been planted in Stark's heart, and it was only a matter of time before it blossomed.

Take now, for example.

Originally, the three of them had agreed to leave immediately.

But after leaving the cave, Stark suddenly changed his mind.

He saw the valley filled with countless weapons and missiles, all labeled with the Stark Industries name, which made him feel incredibly distressed.

So he couldn't help but say to the two of them, "Can you wait for me for a moment? I think I might have forgotten something very important that I need to take care of."

"What is it?"

Yinsen asked, somewhat puzzled.

"I must destroy these weapons." Stark's expression was complex: "I... well, honestly, I never thought these weapons would fall into the hands of Terrorists. I thought they would bring peace to the World, but now it seems I was wrong."

"Weapons themselves are not wrong, Stark."

Yinsen tried to comfort him.

"I know, but I can't escape my own conscience." Stark shook his head: "Do you know? Even those Terrorists were mocking me. They said Tony Stark is the most terrifying mass murderer in the World."

"Alright, so what do you plan to do?"

Yinsen asked.

"Give me some time."

Stark explained: "I can make a delayed detonator to ensure these weapons don't fall into the hands of other Terrorists..."

As a genius who could craft a reactor with his bare hands, Stark completed the detonator almost with his eyes closed. Not long after the three of them left the valley, deafening explosions echoed throughout the desert, and the dazzling Fire almost dyed half the sky red.

The vast, boundless desert, aside from a few cacti, was nothing but scorching yellow sand.

This monotonous color stretched to the end of their vision, and the Sun's intense heat made the temperature extremely high, turning even the air into visible waves of rolling heat.

Before long, Tony and Yinsen started to show signs of dehydration and even mild heatstroke.

However, Allen Walker, on the other hand, was as leisurely as if he were strolling through a forest in the morning, with no trace of discomfort on his face.

He even pulled out a few large cucumbers from who knows where to help the two replenish their Water.

Stark and Yinsen chewed the crisp, juicy cucumbers, feeling a surge of surprise and envy. They felt as if Allen Walker was full of mysteries; the more they interacted with him, the more they perceived his magical and unique qualities.

As for Allen Walker himself.

He had already realized it when he first encountered the Terrorists.

Steve, as the other half of Allen Walker's soul, had shared all of his characteristics with him.

Now, Allen Walker's body was completely digitized.

When he had an argument with the Terrorists earlier, his head was shot through with bullets, but it only created a small hole and was quickly refreshed away.

It is well known that Steve does not have a thirst mechanic; as long as his hunger bar is full, he can walk fast whether in snow or the desert, feeling neither cold nor hot, and never feeling fatigued. Even if he suffers almost fatal injuries, he can recover in a few seconds.

And when Allen Walker inherited these characteristics, he had almost become a complete monster.

It was precisely with Allen Walker's help that Yinsen and Stark managed to persevere. As the sound of a helicopter grew closer, the two excitedly waved their hands.

The helicopter quickly noticed the people on the ground and slowly descended nearby.

As soon as the cabin door opened, a dark-skinned, muscular soldier rushed out. Allen Walker recognized him instantly; it was Tony Stark's good friend, the future War Machine, Colonel Rhodes.

"Was the Happy jeep comfortable?"

Upon seeing Stark, Colonel Rhodes visibly relaxed and joked with a smile.

Stark didn't speak, just offered a relaxed smile.

"Next time, ride in my car, okay?" Colonel Rhodes patted Stark's shoulder, and then the two shared a deep hug, showing their brotherly affection.

"And these two are...?"

After the greetings, Colonel Rhodes finally noticed Allen Walker and Yinsen nearby.

"Hello, my name is Yinsen."

Yinsen smiled and extended a hand: "I'm a surgeon."

"And you?"

Colonel Rhodes shook Yinsen's hand, then shifted his gaze to Allen Walker.

"A man trapped in the desert for five years, found wearing diamond armor worth hundreds of millions, claims to be a Minecraft World player." Compared to the honest Yinsen, Allen Walker's self-introduction was clearly less serious.

"Huh?"

Colonel Rhodes was stunned.

"I am Allen Walker, just a passing Stand user." Allen Walker said again.

...

Rhodes didn't speak, but instinctively became alert, his right hand subconsciously resting on the gun at his waist.

"Hey, Rhodes, don't be so tense."

Stark, of course, noticed the situation. In fact, after spending some time together, his attitude towards Allen Walker had softened. Although the other's abilities were strange and powerful, and he often verbally provoked him, he didn't seem to be an utterly heinous person, at most just a bit crazy: "Both of them are my saviors. We agreed to go back to the United States together."

"Is that so?"

Colonel Rhodes slowly relaxed his guard after hearing Stark say that.

Although his mind was full of questions, he knew it wasn't the right time to ask, so he waved his hand, signaling the three to get into the helicopter first.

Soon, the helicopter started, but it didn't fly directly back to New York. Instead, it flew to the nearest military Base, as the journey was very long, so everyone transferred to a military transport plane.

Not long after, the transport plane arrived at a military Base in New York.

The cabin door slowly opened, and Secretary Pepper Potts, who had already received the news, along with Happy, the butler, were waiting.

"Your eyes look a little red."

After changing into a clean suit at the military Base, Stark's demeanor clearly became somewhat flashy. He slowly walked towards his secretary: "Let me guess, you weren't crying for your long-lost boss, were you?"

"It's because I'm Happy."

Potts's eyes were red, but she smiled: "I finally don't have to look for a new job."

"Oh, that's right."

Stark raised an eyebrow in surprise: "Your vacation is over."

After a brief exchange, Stark also introduced Yinsen and Allen Walker to Potts. Then, the group got into the car. At Stark's instruction, Happy stepped on the accelerator and drove the car directly to the nearest burger joint.

After eating and drinking their fill, Stark immediately held a press conference.

No matter the country, reporters are always the fastest creatures, especially for a press conference by Tony Stark, the richest man in the World; they would never miss it.

And Stark did not disappoint them.

He directly dropped a bombshell, like a bomb, announcing the closure of Stark Industries' weapons division.

In an instant, the entire society seemed to tremble. Stockholders were furious, and all sorts of news spread like wildfire, instantly throwing all levels of the Stark Company into a state of chaos.

However, Stark, the instigator of all this, didn't care about any of it.

After settling Yinsen and Allen Walker, he directly plunged into his laboratory and disappeared.

As for Allen Walker.

He didn't disturb Stark.

Having read the original story, Allen Walker knew that Stark wasn't going crazy; he just wanted to capture the fleeting spark of inspiration in his mind. After all, now that he had a miniature reactor, would the Iron Man suit be far behind?

What's more, putting Stark aside, Allen Walker himself also needed some time for experiments.

There was no other way. After all, Allen Walker had just entered the Marvel Universe, and many Stand characteristics had not yet been tested. Instead of suffering losses in future crises due to a lack of understanding of his characteristics, it was better to test them more now.

Combining his previous experiences with a series of detailed tests, Allen Walker finally completely understood his Stand ability.

First, in terms of strength.

Allen Walker found that his physical strength was terrifying; killing a person with one-punch man was not a problem at all.

Allen Walker guessed that this was probably because he shared his life with the Stand. After all, his body was already digitized, so it naturally surpassed that of a human. If Steve could smash a one-meter diameter tree trunk with his bare hands, why couldn't he?

Besides gaining increased strength, Allen Walker also discovered some other things.

Probably due to the flexible movement module, Allen Walker's Stand moved extremely flexibly in the real World, not as stiff and rigid as in the game. It could even perform a sword flourish with an iron sword in mid-air.

Of course, besides these good news, Allen Walker also discovered a very serious problem.

Steve could not collect resources in the real World.

As early as when he was in the cave, Allen Walker tried to make Steve mine rocks. The result was that the rock wall indeed lost one cubic meter of rock, but he couldn't find any dropped items.

Allen Walker, not believing it, dug up a cactus on the way, but the result was the same.

A section of the cactus did disappear, but it didn't drop anything.

Fortunately, the blocks Steve brought out from the Minecraft World were not subject to this restriction; they could be placed and re-mined at will, which made Allen Walker breathe a slight sigh of relief.

And besides the characteristics mentioned above.

Allen Walker also discovered another characteristic that greatly attracted him.

He controlled Steve to take an apple out of his backpack and hand it to him.

The apple held by Steve still retained the Minecraft World's unique pixelated style, but when Allen Walker reached out and touched the apple, a White light suddenly flashed, and the pixelated apple instantly transformed into a real red apple.

This process was irreversible.

Allen Walker tried to give the apple back to Steve, but failed.

"So that's how it is..."

After some research and comparison, Allen Walker subconsciously nodded: "Items from the Minecraft World can be transformed into items in the real World, but not vice versa... So, is this a one-way flow logical rule?"

As he was thinking, Allen Walker suddenly noticed the Ender Hand in Steve's backpack and his heart stirred: "Then what if something that doesn't exist in this World is transformed...?"

"What would it become?"
