Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: He gave too much...

It was a pitch-black night.

Allen Walker was about to go to sleep when a sound suddenly came from the living room.

Half-asleep, Allen Walker thought his house was being robbed, as the security in the U.S. was indeed not very good. But he was too tired, so he simply closed his eyes, intending to let his Stand handle the situation.

However, what he didn't expect was this:

When Steve, carrying an iron sword, walked into the living room, he found a one-eyed Black man sitting on the sofa.

The man was bald, wearing a black leather trench coat, and had a black eye patch over his left eye. His face was tightly drawn, looking very stern and serious.

Judging from this distinctive appearance and unique entrance.

It was clearly the legendary Motherfucker Man, the one-eyed Black spiced corned egg, the head Agent, and the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury.

Considering Fury's various actions in the original work, Allen Walker probably guessed that Nick Fury seemed to really enjoy secretly sneaking into other people's houses and then suddenly making an appearance. After all, by using this method to first intimidate the other party, he could gain the upper hand in subsequent conversations.

However, Allen Walker indicated that he wasn't so easily fooled.

He slowly extended his palm, and a purple ethereal glow transformed into an invisible force field that passed through the wall. The next second, the sofa in the living room directly floated up, flying into the bedroom as if it had a will of its own.

And so, the next second, a bewildered Nick Fury found himself face-to-face with Allen Walker.

"Good evening, Director."

Unlike Nick Fury's ashen face, Allen Walker was smiling. "It seems your little trick has been exposed. Aren't you going to say 'Ma Re Fa Ke'?"

"Allen Walker, the man who claims to be a Stand user."

Nick Fury, being the head Agent, had excellent psychological fortitude. He didn't actually curse but instead pretended as if nothing had happened. "Your origin is truly mysterious. No information about you can be found anywhere, as if you appeared out of thin air."

"You mean you've even investigated the East?"

Allen Walker smiled. "Then you have a lot of power, Director."

"You seem very familiar with me."

Nick Fury's expression remained calm, completely unaffected by Allen Walker's words. "Why, are we old friends already? Or have you seen me somewhere before?"

"Since you've investigated China, have you heard of fortune-telling?"

Allen Walker asked.

"What is that?" Nick Fury thought for a moment, indeed not having heard of the term much. "What does fortune-telling refer to? Calculating a person's remaining lifespan?"

"It's similar to your prophecy here."

Allen Walker explained, "In short, it means I can see the future."

"Is that so?" Nick Fury mused, seeming a bit noncommittal. "Then why don't you tell me, what is my future like?"

"Just average, I suppose."

Hearing this, Allen Walker couldn't help but smile. After all, fooling a character from the original work was truly too easy. "Although your idea is good... you should know that everyone in your superhuman team is a troublemaker. You'll have to clean up after them like a nanny. Not everyone is as obedient as Captain Marvel."

"It seems you know quite a lot."

Nick Fury's single eye narrowed slightly. He hadn't mentioned anything about forming the Avengers or anything about Captain Marvel Carol Danvers to anyone yet. "So, are you also a member of this team?"

"Sorry, I'm not."

Allen Walker shook his head. "I'm not interested in being a superhero."

"Oh? Why not?"

Nick Fury asked curiously.

"Because I hate being morally hijacked," Allen Walker said directly. "So as long as they realize I have no morals, they will give up on trying to morally hijack me."

"That's certainly a novel way of putting it."

Nick Fury said, "So, what do you want to do?"

"Don't worry, while I'm not a good person, I'm not a bad person either." Allen Walker shook his head. "I'm a reasonable person. Since we both have our needs, let's just use each other."

"What are your needs?"

Nick Fury immediately asked upon hearing this.

"It's not clear yet, but it's probably about witnessing some supernatural events, or using your resources to cultivate that so-called sorcery. Simply put, it's about causing trouble for you." Allen Walker thought for a moment, after all, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s resources are quite useful and should help him unlock more modules. "But this will definitely be mutually beneficial. After all, we're all adults, and I understand that much. Our cooperation is for mutual gain, and you will also benefit."

"Witnessing supernatural events? What's the benefit to you?"

Nick Fury asked.

"I'm just very interested in that aspect." Of course, Allen Walker couldn't tell the truth, so he casually said, "After all, witnessing your own prophecies come true is also very interesting, isn't it?"

"Is that so?"

Nick Fury certainly didn't believe such a simple lie, but after considering it, he decided to agree to Allen Walker's request. After all, the other party was an unstable factor, and keeping him close could at least keep an eye on him. So, he nodded and said, "I can agree to your cooperation. I'll arrange for you to have the identity of a technical Advisor. Then you'll have the authority to mobilize resources..."

However, before he could finish speaking, Nick Fury's phone suddenly rang.

"What's wrong?"

Nick Fury glanced at Allen Walker on the bed, then answered the call. "Hmm... are you sure? Okay, I understand. Stay put and await my orders."

However, what he didn't know was that Allen Walker had already secretly controlled Steve to sneak closer and overhear the phone conversation.

"It seems our conversation needs to end early."

Nick Fury stood up directly. "Something urgent has come up, and I need to deal with it."

And just as he was about to leave, a purple light suddenly flashed, and the bedroom door slammed shut with a bang.

"..."

Nick Fury didn't speak, but slowly turned his head to look at Allen Walker.

"If I heard correctly, you just invited me to be a technical Advisor, didn't you?" Allen Walker slowly got up from the bed and stretched. "I'm also quite interested in that urgent matter you mentioned. What do you think this green-skinned monster is?"

...

On the helicopter, Nick Fury's expression remained poor.

His face was now darker than coal in Minecraft, and even the Agents next to him didn't dare to speak to him.

Yes, Nick Fury had now realized that he had indeed been tricked by Allen Walker. The other party must have used some strange sorcery to eavesdrop on his call, and now this was the result—Allen Walker insisted on coming along.

Actually, at first, Nick Fury didn't agree to Allen Walker's request at all.

After all, he didn't trust Allen Walker at all right now, and many things still needed to be observed. It would be troublesome if the other party had ulterior motives. As for being locked up and threatened by the other party... Nick Fury stated that he had seen all sorts of storms and waves, so would he be afraid of this?

But what Nick Fury didn't expect was this.

Allen Walker reached out and actually pulled out a giant gold brick the size of a millstone from mid-air.

Nick Fury was stunned, and then he heard Allen Walker say something like, "Director, look, this is my sincerity for cooperation. You wouldn't want your Agents to have no operating funds, would you?"

Nick Fury had originally wanted to refuse, but... the other party gave too much.

Just this one gold brick, when converted, could give him tens of millions of U.S. dollars in operating funds. You know, Nick Fury had secretly conducted many secret experiments behind the Congress's back, and normally he had to squeeze out research funds himself. So, with such a good opportunity in front of him now, could he refuse?

Although somewhat conflicted, for the sake of the gold brick, Nick Fury could only bite the bullet and take Allen Walker with him.

He actually had many questions he wanted to ask Allen Walker, but there had been an urgent matter earlier. However, now that the other party was already on the plane with him, he continued to ask his questions.

"Do your abilities have no limitations?"

Nick Fury couldn't help but ask, "Like alchemy, can you really just create gold at will?"

"That depends on when I can go back." Allen Walker shrugged. "Once I go back and build a Zombie Pigman mob farm, I'll buy the entire S.H.I.E.L.D."

"S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

Nick Fury asked, "What is that?"

"It's this organization of yours with the really long name now; it'll be called S.H.I.E.L.D. from now on." Allen Walker waved his hand, then, without waiting for Nick Fury to say anything more, directly interrupted, "You have too many questions. How about we talk about this green-skinned monster first?"

"You're very interested in this guy?"

Nick Fury asked, "Did you see it with your prophetic ability? How much information do you know about it?"

"Dr. Bruce Banner... because of an accident during a military experiment, he was exposed to gamma rays and turned into a green monster." Allen Walker said casually, "You call it the Hulk."

"It seems you know quite a lot."

Nick Fury said, "So, what do you want to do?"

"Let's fight."

Allen Walker rubbed his chin. "I haven't fought in too long; I need to find a way to test my strength."

"I'm afraid I can't fulfill your request."

Nick Fury's eyes flickered. He silently noted the 'belligerent' tag for the other party in his mind, then continued, "Although Dr. Bruce Banner cannot control himself after transforming, this matter has always been handled by the military. At most, we can only monitor."

"I know that."

Allen Walker nodded. He had seen the original work and of course knew that S.H.I.E.L.D. was not present in the Hulk movie.

In fact, Marvel company at that time didn't have a specific plan for the Marvel Universe yet, so each movie was independent of each other, and the only antagonist in Hulk was the military.

"Originally, the military had already contained Bruce Banner, but just now, something unexpected seemed to have happened."

Nick Fury said, "They seem to have been researching some unspeakable things. In short, now besides the Hulk, they've created another out-of-control monster, right on the streets of New York..."
