Chapter 27 - Drop

The robes he had, were now gone.

His body, has a mix of purple and green from the poisons, and red from his own blood.

[Warning, due to excessive Poisoning, Grand Heal's effect is wearing out.]

A sudden notification rang out, yet his mind was set on running towards Lun' Ara.

His steps were zigzagging, but he still made it to the small alleys so that Albert, no, Al-Bear-t, can't get to him fast.

But, he has a last hurdle to do.

Before arriving to the gates of "heaven", he has to pass the clearing before the alleyways to the front gate.

"Running to Lun' Ara, aren't we?"

Irene said as she stood atop one of her another summons - Paw-lo.

This bear is standing on fours, and above him is another bear that holds a rifle and has three heads: Cer-Bear-oos.

This bear is the one responsible for the poison darts in Zypher's body.

He is also the reason why Zypher is running around and around. His three heads covers the north, west and east directions, so he can spot Zypher in a short notice.

"Do you think they will help someone like you?"

She said, while trying to wait for Zypher.

Although she knows where Zypher is going, she can't just wait for ambush, as she doesn't know which leader leads the place Zypher is running at right now.

She is lucky enough to avoid Kruger, but if she overstays, Adelaide won't be merciful.

"How about you? Why do you want to meet her?"

Zypher shouted.

A shot then rang to the place where the voice came, and the sudden noise also alerted Al-Bear-t. He started running towards where Zypher is hiding.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Thunderous footsteps were heard as Al-Bear-t ran through the alleys.

"I don't want to meet her.."

She said as she ran towards the direction of the voice.

"...I want to meet.."

Paw-lo then went down on the north, Al-Bear-t took the southwest, while Cer-Bear-oos is on the southeast.

This position is like a net that traps the enemy within.

"..you."

As she said that, Cer-Bear-oos fired a shot, but all it hit was an empty house.

Al-Bear-t checked, only to hear a sudden voice.

"Why me?"

The voice came from the other side, to be exact, was the place from where Paw-lo was standing earlier.

Irene smiled in return. She knew she found an excellent prey. A prey worthy to be played with.

"Did you hear about the sword Barisada?"

Irene said as she beckoned Cer-Bear-oos and pointed out a place where Al-Bear-t will go.

She took the opposite route, and she continued on chatting with Zypher while atop Paw-lo.

As she said that, Zypher suddenly remembered something.

Barisada.

The Blue Flame Sword that he forged in his past life from the Devil of Cold Flames and the Eradication Dragon.

This is one of his best forged weapons, and he always feel proud of himself upon revisiting these weapons.

In his past life, it was one of his main symbols, the others being Durandal and Epirus.

The epithet God Killer is another one of his, and he is not lying as he was the target of almost all guilds as their main powers, when met with him, will always be defeated, or will come to his side after one fight.

After a bit more contemplation, Zypher now knows the truth.

Barisada, was only shown to one group of people, or rather, to one specific person: Derby.

Derby, then has a network that is trying to take the item from him, as it killed him in one hit.

Now that his necessary information is within him, he now has a better confidence.

"Must've been fun working for Derby."

He shouted.

Now, he was back where they tried to ambush him earlier.

A vein bulged in Irene's forehead as she found out that this boy is toying with him.

With no choice, she then opened her hand and ordered the three to spread out. She stood atop one of the taller buildings, and tried to scour the surroundings.

"Huh? Me? Working under that bozo? No way!"

She shouted as she waited for a response.

But no answer was found.

She then waited for the summons to scour the area, taking notes of everything in her vicinity and the space between the alleyways and Lun' Ara.

"Then why do you try and find me?"

A sudden, chilling voice was heard behind her.

Without further ado, Irene spun around and unsummoned the three.

They began to become lights, and in a split-second, Irene resummoned them to attack.

But all there is was a magic circle that emits a noise.

"Thank you."

The magic circle suddenly sounded before crumbling before the might of her three summons.

She then looked back and saw a person running on the space towards Lun' Ara.

"Cer-Bear-oos!"

Cer-Bear-oos then stood atop Al-Bear-t, and aimed his gun.

"Sniper Mode!"

Cer-Bear-oos, then used his one hand to rip one of his head, and changed it to another.

The head he has earlier was a clean one, an innocent bear, but now, his one eye has a scar.

"SHOOT!"

Irene shouted, and Cer-Bear-oos did so.

A bullet flew, and squarely hit Zypher in the back.

[Warning! Grand Heal's effect is ending. Please seek medical attention.]

Zypher, falling down, was heartbroken. Literally, and metaphorically.

He was a few steps away from the gate.

And his eyes, already saw Adelaide at the yard, tending at her garden.

As she heard the gunshot, she looked towards Zypher, who was now on the ground.

But, she didn't move.

It was fine if he is lost, then, she has nothing to think about, not a sister, not a father.

She was about to continue when she heard a small mumble that gave her goosebumps.

Standing up, she shouted.

"Kruger! Bring that woman down, and I will let you spend an hour with me!"

"Yes, Ma'am."

And that was the last thing that Irene heard. She was sent to the in-game countdown, and gray screen.

"Wait for me, I'll wear something nice!"

She then exited to the outside and carried Zypher in.

As she entered her smile was so wide, but a tear flowed from her eyes.

"Astrid, huh? What a lame naming sense, Dad."
