A hissing sound was heard as the final bit of the Bionic Slime entered his body.
Chaos can be read in everyone's minds, but silence won outside of it.
Then, the battle of waiting began.
In truth, this is a battle of wits, and patience.
Adelaide knew that Zypher is weak.
His body is poisoned, and even if he absorbed the Bionic Slime, this move will have a backlash on him. Bionic Slime was created to slowly clean and heal the body, and if someone consumed it quickly, something bad will happen.
He is also under the Frost Touch.
Earlier, before he woke up, she touched his face, applying a small amount of Frost Touch in him, freezing up the energies she is seeing in his face.
And, his body is still weak from the Qi Pill he took earlier.
His body is screaming in pain right now.
On Zypher's side, he is definitely feeling it all inside.
But that's not what he was waiting for.
The Frost Touch Issue is helpful for now, as the All-Father, who took the full brunt of Frost Touch is still deactivated, which lets him control the Unknown One for now.
And, he is slowly learning to control it, that now, he can adjust the strength of the Unknown One's eye.
The poison hurts, and his body has now lost 3% of max health as the poisons are running all throughout his body. The pain is making his muscles spasm, but he is taking it all down.
For he knows what can happen to the two of them.
The waiting game can wait, but a life lost cannot be taken back.
Zypher, although he knows he will lose, he still has the upper hand.
For right now, he is emitting his mana at the fullest.
Mental Fortitude is foreign to Natives, as they are programmed to have a certain number of stats and stat points.
While Mana Purity is something of an archrival to a beastkin, who uses Qi.
These two, combined, made him look like a boss monster in front of Adelaide.
And this pressure is what he was waiting for.

Like a balloon being punctured, something inside Zypher began to heat up.
The Qi Pill's energy, that was not yet digested at all, began to suddenly rage up in his body.
And the thing it attacked?
The Frozen Touch.
Zypher began to panic, but three notifications suddenly popped out.

These three managed to cool his head offz but the pain is still there.
It is just making him not react to the pain he is already feeling.
Feeling the sudden surge of energy, Adelaide thought that she had won, and was going to collapse, but then, when he looked at Zypher's eyes, she was dumbfounded.
Deep, cold, and a bit of longingness.
'What kind of pain is he in to look like that?'
Her mind screamed at her, her heart dropping down as her mind began to crumble.
She broke the staring game and she shook her head.
Zypher, seeing this, sighed in relief.
It was a gamble, but it paid off.
He has his summons, and his life, plus the Bionic Slime in his body that is currently fixing him.
"I was alone."
Adelaide spoke softly.
But Zypher knew she would say that.
It was in his past life, but when Adelaide found out where Astrid is, she attacked almost immediately.
But it was a trap because the place Astrid is in heard that Adelaide is gaining power.
So they decided to cut the roots off, before it becomes a problem.
A small leak began the trap, and it all ended up in a body, dying in Zypher's arms.
In Project: Zerø, death is normal for players. They die, and they revive.
But Natives are not like that.
Once dead, always dead.
And although it was a game, Zypher knew that he shared a bond with Adelaide, and he doesn't want her to die this time.
Instead, he wants her to be more powerful.
"Being half-blood must be tough."
Hearing the word "half-blood" gained Adelaide's full attention as she suddenly stood up.
"How did you know?"
She hurriedly asked.
Zypher, saying this, was also surprised. He spouted it out of nowhere, and was now in a pinch.
'How did I know? I can't tell you that you're my lover and you told me that in my past life, can't I?'
Zypher's mind began to race, and started to think of the most meaningful way to direct the heat out of him.
"Hmph! He knows about Astrid and you still ask why he knows you? What kind of question are you spouting?"
Suddenly, the beaten up boy stood up as he was touching the lumps on his body and head, from the beating.
Kruger then sat on the seat where Adelaide is sitting earlier, and started on nursing himself.
"Isn't it a dead giveaway?"
Kruger continued as he took a bottle of potion from his pocket.
"He knows you family, he knows you, and even your father."
Kruger emptied the bottle in one go, and all of the wounds, bruises and scratches in his body vanished.
He looked like a respectable man now, minus the clothes he wore.
Clenching his fist, and seeing that he is fine, Kruger whipped his hair back.
He then took his sword and aimed it at Zypher.
"He..."
Kruger smiled and his intensity flared up
"...is a fiancé your father has sent."
Silence followed, but awkwardness crept in.
"Ughhh, yes?"
Zypher was unable to respond clearly to a stupid question.
And this stupidity was the one thing Kruger has.
Adelaide, hearing this, went red in embarrassment, but when she looked at Zypher again, she thought it was true and wasn't able to control herself.
She doesn't know what a fiancé is, but according to her logic, if she can date Kruger and is not her fiancé...
...then a fiancé can do anything to her.
This made her mind be blown out, as her body weakly fell down the ground.
"Oh, you're uncle's gonna be screwed."
