Chapter 32 - Who?

Runes.

These are mystical letters, that everyone can use in the game. In truth, all players have known one or two, to help them in creating more variety in their classes.

For example, a Speed Rune can be used by a mage to escape their pursuers, or even to cast faster.

These runes are available for all to see, and there are some rune-class combinations that was invented in the game.

These Runes are fairly easy to use, but even so, hard to master.

But, to someone who lived through one lifetime, seeing all these farce before him, he has to oblige and make these runes work for him.

Using them, for him, is like programming a difficult application, but having experience and the wisdom to do it, he is like stitching a torn cloth.

'Silence, Pressure, Gravity.'

These were three runes he used, and using the Mental Fortitude stat, he unlocked something more.

[Obtained the Ability - Silent Casting.]

Silent Casting.

Each and every player use their mouths to use runes, spells, skills or even their manifestations to fight. Saying the name of the skill makes them use it, and it is way more cooler if they do so.

But, Zypher is a bit matured for that part. He doesn't want to scream like a kid to attack. It's better that they die in silence, not knowing what hit them.

Which is also applicable to him.

Yes, using a high tier attack, with the small vessel he has, his mind can't take it.

Although his Mental Fortitude is there, brain damage is real.

"Miracle?"

Everybody stopped in their tracks, even the now embarrassed Adelaide, and the still dirty old man Kruger.

"You dare lie to my face?"

Anovus got angry.

Not just because his plan backfired, but also because of the bold claim.

In truth, only seven people knows about the Eighth, and they decided to pass it down to their descendants.

The Eighth, is the player that helped them the most, although in gaming sense, he was the one who treaded all the quests and missions to arrive at the sides of the seven.

But, they know his power is too strong, compared to the boy they are seeing.

Yet it all changed in four words.

"Eighth is a player, or the so called Heroes."

Sylva muttered.

The silence immediately fell down as the words escaped. Although her face can't explain what she is feeling, it was enough to be an explanation to everyone.

She was there, with Gimalus, so she knows who the Eighth was.

And not just the surname, but how they composed their names.

"His name is Zyvier."

Sylva continued, looking at the person in front of her.

Zypher smiled, hearing this.

But no, he isn't lying about his brother.

His biological brother, Zeron, was one of the beta tester and pioneers of the game. He was the first one to get into the main storyline, albeit with luck.

His account, Zyvier Miracle, was a legendary figure in the gaming world, as the only player who fought alongside the heroes of the first calamity.

Remembering it, Zypher's face contorted into rage.

But that's a story for another time.

Feeling that Zypher is being mad, Sylva stopped in her tracks.

"Heroes has this amazing sense of growth is what I've heard."

Kruger said as he sighed.

Zypher dismissed their comments and started to speak.

"I knew Gimalus as my brother spoke of him often."

This was true because Gimalus and his brother are polar opposites. Gimalus wanted to take only eight to the battle, but Zyvier knew that the battle is harder than what they imagined.

This became the back and forth of the two, until they met at the middle.

Only half of the armies will be sent.

But all of them died, and their guilds started to plummet down.

Now, only Lun' Ara was fighting on, trying to keep their prestige.

"I'm not here to take her hands yet, so stop leaking that murderous intent, Melech."

As soon as they heard the name, the group of the "Hidden Weapons", the assassins of the group, to be intimidated. Saying the name of their leader like that is like taking them under his rule, which hurt their pride.

This movement shocked everyone, but they thought that Zypher just misspoke.

But the next moment, his words cut through.

"Arriving late, observing, and now, you just do what you want? Did you forget what happened in Dolico?"

Zypher's eyes glinted as he looked at the empty seat.

Suddenly, a figure appeared above him, a dagger in hand, and attacked Zypher.

"As expected."

With a snap of his finger, the figure stopped mid-air.

"Air Lock."

Although his mind was hurting, Zypher still cannot let anyone wreck what Kruger gave him.

On the space above, Melech is seen locked in an animation, yet suddenly, it vanished.

"Where did he.."

Someone said, but as they looked on the table, Zypher was currently holding a knife, standing behind one of the seats, aiming it at the neck of the one seating on it.

Yet, there are many other clones also aiming at his back.

"Repeat this, and you will experience Dolico again."

He whispered, and although Melech is silent, his rage and fear turned to respect towards Zypher.

Yet, what surprised him more is the person walking out of the room.

He was walking with poise with Adelaide in behind him.

This elevated the respect he has.

In truth, his clones are directly controlled by his eyes, and he can direct them with his mana.

But this clone...

Say he left even before Melech attacked. Looking at his clone, Zypher is in his front, so he will know if he summoned his clone or not.

But if he did it after the attack, it is more mind boggling as he thought when did Zypher left his seat.

And how did he make he controlled, or summoned clones without looking.

"Who are you?" Melech muttered.
