Chapter 33 - Half-Blood

At the Corridor.

Zypher almost fell down as soon as the door closed.

Adelaide, seeing this, readily offered her shoulder to catch him.

"Wow, nice save."

Zypher said as he dusted himself and walked straight.

Adelaide, seeing this, frowned. Walking behind Zypher, she noticed a few things.

First, her estimate of his age is early 20s, but he knows Dolico, which is before even the first calamity happened.

It means he was just in his teens that time, but he spoke of Dolico like he was there, and dared to threaten Melech.

Although she knows Heroes can acquire data in some sense they didn't know, that way of talking and having the mindset is so different.

Like there is an air of mystery that shrouds him.

"You are not really someone Dad sent, aren't you?"

Saying this, Zypher stopped.

This made Adelaide's heart skip a beat. If she was right, her heart will break because of the betrayal, and if she was wrong, her heart can't take it, for she thinks that her father must've chosen someone for her to guide her.

He then decided to turn around and walk towards Adelaide.

"Ma'am..."

He started.

But, Adelaide saw that the color of his eyes are now dead.

He has gone through the limit.

The one minute was over ages ago. And his mind is leaking his Mental Fortitude stat one by one.

It means every minute he had gone through, he was losing the Mental Fortitude.

And now, he only has two points left.

If he lost more, he doesn't know how to get it back.

"...you can't take Astrid right now."

He continued as tears of blood again flowed out of his eyes.

"You have yet completed yourself."

Saying that, Adelaide's face contorted in rage.

She was about to kick him, but he suddenly fainted, his bloody eyes tainted her blue robe on the shoulder, and her heart stopped trembling.

"Dad, why?"

She said as her silent cries echoed through the corridor.

Back to the meeting hall.

Adelaide, with her right shoulder tainted in blood, sat down in front of the elders.

Kruger, Sylva, Anovus and Melech were looking at her seriousness.

"Say, Sylva."

She stared at the head maid, who stood up like a mother to her for almost two decades.

Sylva, who heard her name, perked up as the pressure intensified. She always known Adelaide as a sweet child, always calling her Aunt or using honorifics, but this time, the first name basis caught her off guard.

"What makes me incomplete?"

Hearing this, Sylva's anger towards Zypher heightened as she tried to console Adelaide.

"Ma'am you are perfect just the way you are."

"Really?"

Adelaide asked.

Kruger, seeing this, nodded.

"Milady, your face, body and even skin is perfect. What makes you think you are not? That boy?"

Kruger explained as he went on, but a sudden attack froze his crotch area, that he squealed like a girl.

"HEY! WILL YOU TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF I LOSE MY POWER AND MY ABILITY TO MAKE CHILDREN?"

Kruger madly said.

"It's fine, those jewels don't shine at all."

Sylva cut him off.

"Old hag."

"Pervert."

BOOM!

A sudden pressure erupted, as all of them were sent down on, faces on the table.

And even Kruger, who was already the one with the highest level among them, experience the same.

Adelaide's face contorted to rage as she asked.

"What.."

She stood up and looked at the eyes of Sylva.

"...made me.."

She also looked at Melech and Anovus, fear is evident in their eyes.

"..incomplete."

This question rang out of their heads a few times.

"Nothing Ma'am. Don't let that guy fool you!"

Melech said. Although he is now respectful to Zypher, he is still loyal to Adelaide.

"Yes, Ma'am, trust us!"

BOOM!

Pressure donned upon them, twice as hard as earlier, that it almost broke the table.

Suddenly, the whole table froze and it broke into smithereens.

Each of the elders, and Kruger, was suddenly sent on the floor.

But, that same attack reached the conclusion where all of their eyes widened.

Adelaide attacked them with force, but it did not break them, only made them feel the attack.

This move invited the shared staring of the three elders towards each other.

The three of them suddenly suddenly felt the chill on their hearts as they were reminded of the thing that made even Gimalus suffered.

Sylva, knowing this, decided to run up and hug Adelaide tightly.

"My daughter!"

She said as she also felt Adelaide's hand wrap around her.

This scence invoked the tears of everyone in the room. Although they did not understand, they saw the scene of love, which opened the valves of their eyes.

Adelaide sighed, seeing that the elders knew, but it was an outsider who told her all of it.

"If he didn't came, I won't know what I needed to do."

Adelaide's words made the elders tremble.

Hearing this, Neri clapped her hands once to get everyone's attention.

"Meeting adjourned! Everyone, the place."

Although a bit surprised, everyone followed as the bowed towards the elders and Adelaide.

The clearing went on for a few moments before it left an empty hall, with only five people standing in the middle.

"I am just a half-blood, right?"

Upon saying this, the three elders suddenly knelt down.

"We're sorry, Ma'am, we didn't tell you."

Upon hearing this, Adelaide sighed in frustration.

"But don't worry Ma'am, we have researched all things, and found out a solution."

Melech said as he looked at Adelaide.

"How sure you are about it?"

"We are 30% sure about it, Ma'am."

Melech said with confidence, but what Adelaide said next broke it.

"He said he can fix it 100%, without using the Unmelting Ice."

Her flat tone was like a metal scraping metal, which hurt Melech deep down.

And the next sentence hurt them more than they can imagine.

This sentence broke their hearts, but upon realization, was true in all sides.

"I have to leave Lun' Ara."
