Chapter 39 - Choice

Going out of the room, Zypher felt freedom.

From the past few days, he was so annoyed by everything, but now, that he has been free from things, he has some room to move.

But, he is not too free to just aimlessly wander the world. He has goals to do, and the first goal, was to learn.

In Project: Zerø, enemies, and even small monsters are tough, and players need to he tougher.

And, Zypher knows every secret the game has, and he has to at least take things for himself this time around.

And, not just items, equipments or rare titles, he has a goal of something else.

Upon going out of the room, he saw some maids who bowed their heads towards him. This made him smile, but he scrapped the idea of using them.

Well, another kind of force is the workers of a workplace, because they add stats.

For example, Adelaide's closest aide, Neri.

Adelaide, is a mage, but with the addition of Neri, she shared a bit of Attack Stats, which made Adelaide use spear, daggers and swords in fighting.

These made fighting Native bosses so hard that even the ones just inside the house adds to their power.

But, Zypher is not so evil to take away the powers of the ones who saved him.

He will look like a dog that bit the hand of it's owner; an ungrateful bastard.

As he was walking, he arrived at a certain room.

Knocking twice, he decided to open the knob, but he stopped as he heard something.

"He is not worthy of you."

Anovus, is drinking his tea, alongside a young man who looked like him.

The young man said as his power radiated from his body.

"Aura, huh?"

He said as he examined the boy.

Qi, is used mainly by Beastmen, such as Adelaide, but she can also use mana, because she is a half-blood.

"What makes you think that you are worthy?"

Adelaide asked the guy, clearly looking down on him.

This made the guys energy flare up more as he looked at Adelaide.

"I heard you were a half-blood."

"Acrovus, no!"

"Shut up, Dad."

He instantly cut off Anovus, who was just sitting beside him.

Acrovus, looked at Adelaide.

His eyes wandered around her as if he was looking at something that was his.

"I heard that there are ways to "fix" a half-blood."

Acrovus said as he took three sheets of paper.

He then gave it to Adelaide, and shown it to her.

"First, is using a medium."

Adelaide, seeing the paper, was shocked. It was a list of some half-bloods, and the nourishments and mediums they will use to form a full-blood.

These mediums just raise up the strength of one blood to overpower the other.

"Using media like these can hurt the user, as it burns off the overpowered blood, while making more of the stengthened blood at the same time."

"It is also risky, as it can kill powerhouses, because their blood is their lifeline."

Acrovus then took the first page off of Adelaide's hand.

"Second, is Consolation."

Zypher, hearing this, did not wait for explanations. He just stood at the door, with the small gap created from the doors not touching each other, and is listening.

He knows the three methods, and he knows Consolation very well.

It is not so hard, but it is too time consuming that they will need to prepare, execute and still, polish the fix.

It was a method made by elves, whose mindset says that their bloodline is the most superior, and makes every single half-blood make it.

It was a training method, strengthening their elven blood, and not devouring, but absorbing the genes of the other blood.

In this way, they are elves, looking like elves, fighting like elves, but may be strong as giants, dexterous like dwarves or strong like beastmen.

But, the blood inside Adelaide's veins is half-human and half-beastmen. Aside from natural intelligence, there can be nothing to take from her human blood.

And, if she used the beast blood in Consolation, she will just lose everything she built up until now.

But, the third choice was the thing that Zypher hated the most.

"The third is Consummation."

Up until this time, Anovus tried to get up and stop Acrovus, but he was too late.

Adelaide's power rushed forward, but Acrovus was standing there, like a pillar, with a smile on his face.

"That's right, show me your power! This is good if we do the deed. This will allow you to transcend heights, and will only need me as your man."

Adelaide, upon hearing this, grew angrier and angrier.

She knows what consummation does to her.

Upon consummation, the female will bear a child, and this child, will be called the dumpsite.

It was called like that because it is like that.

Once the baby is formed, the half of the blood, in Adelaide's case, the human blood, will be transferred to the child.

This will cut off the child's growth potential, and the mother will be free from being a half-blood.

In the history of the game, Zypher always sees this in the kingdoms where the woman they married are half-bloods, and was thrown out by the family.

Then, they will consummate and give birth to a simple eldest son, who has no talent and purely disgusting for them.

The second son will then be a half-blood with two superior bloods, which can elevate their status.

This makes the succession of each and every kingdom so chaotic, that power fights power, and are making wars.

Adelaide, knowing this, grew furious.

"And what? You will make me your furnace? Using me as your fantasy and giving me a hope so I won't get far from you?"

Hearing this, Acrovus smile turned to a nastu curve.

"Oh? So you're saying that that person is not thinking what I am thinking?"

Upon hearing this, Adelaide went silent.
