Chapter 41 - Train

Stats.

There are eight main stats in the game - six active, and two passives - Attack, Defense, Speed, Health, Energy and Dexterity, plus Luck and Charm.

These stats are the foundation of every player's progression in the game. These makes or breaks their builds, and sometimes, it can even be the sole reason why the account exists.

And these stats, are too deep, that even the players now, do not know how powerful the small things in their hands.

That's the same with the runes.

Every little thing that the game gave them, is either too small to notice, or too little to focus on.

But for Zypher, these are the true blessings of the game, and the players will just know about this when they fight against the 4th Apostle of the Dark League.

And in this life, he will take everything he can, and will do everything he has to do, just to stand at the top again.

"ATTENTION!"

A mighty voice resounded.

To others, it was a normal morning routine, but to Zypher, with his hypersensitivity, feels like a bell sounded and his head is in it.

His eyes grew weary, as Lysander and Daisy both took the full brunt of the echo.

But, it was more bearable now.

What's not bearable is the field.

Truth to be told, this was what Zypher asked for Adelaide: months of training inside the Knight Barracks.

Knights, in the game, are the most well-rounded combatants because: (1) they have too many instructors that teaches each and every fighting style; (2) they are funded by the kingdom, and; (3) there are many players who join them.

These points made them divide each and every task, every duty, and every opportunity.

In this way, they are gaining new blood, while also strengthening their old bloods, making a solid foundation for the new corps.

Armon, who just shouted, appeared in front of everyone.

This time, there are almost 200 new players that registered in the knight corps.

Beside Armon are two instructors like him, but, upon checking, Zypher knew them.

At the left, is the Army General, Douglas Turner. He is a black burly man with white hair, mustache and hair. His eyes are like of an eagle, and he is currently puffing his tobacco. He is level 91, and his class is General.

The capybara on Armon's shoulder is eating all the smoke inside it's body, and has no worries about the environment or circumstances he is in.

The next one is Armon, Class: Martial Master. His main army is the Knights Unit, and he is currently at level 97. This was the highest Zypher had seen since coming back.

But, taking Armon's story into consideration, 97 was something too low for his title.

And the third one, is Dafleye Rane. She, is the general of the Mage Corps, who handles everything with magic.

And although players not know it, she is the third princess of the Kingdom, and has a private army at her disposal.

But, the other two armies are for the King, which is led by Armon, and the anti-foreigners, led by Douglas.

"Good morning, Cadets!"

Everyone straightened their own backs as they heard Armon's next words.

"Today, we are accepting you as trainees of the army!"

"We will divide you all according to your use and your power!" Douglas added as six pillars appeared, surrounding all the cadets.

Dafleye, who was silent, opened a magic circle, and divided it into two.

The two magic circles became like sandwich buns that covered the players on top and on the bottom.

"This is the Army Initiation! Come back alive, and we will help you realize your full potential!"

After that, a blinding light engulfed everyone.

As for Zypher, this was something he wanted all this time.

Back then, in Lun' Ara.

When the dragon blood came out, shock colored their faces, and the power lingered a little longer, enough for Zypher to make a rune out of it.

"Gravity."

Casting the rune, it almost destroyed the whole place.

It just proves how powerful the blood of dragons are, yet this is just a muddied one.

Seeing this, Adelaide's face became lighter as she saw Zypher in a new light.

This means, she now has a way to dodge a bullet, and fix her body.

But, Acrovus and Anovus saw it as a direct challenge to them, but they held it in, because even if they fight, the losses for them will be unimaginable.

They might lose a limb, or worse, their lives.

Seeing their faces, Zypher just smiled at them and didn't say anything.

He has no power for now, and he can't still pull out the weeds, but, that's his plan.

He put it at the top of his list, and his immediate goal for now.

He won't let anyone do something towards the people who helped him, so he screws over who screws them over.

Pay kindness twofold, and humiliation tenfold.

"So, what is the plan?"

Adelaide asked him.

Zypher looked at him and raised up his finger.

"First, you need to level yourself up to 95."

Upon hearing this, Adelaide's eyebrows raise.

"Oh, sorry. You have to get the Blessing seven more times."

"Seven?"

Sylva said, as she frowned.

In Natives, the idea of leveling up is like being filled with energy, that they call Blessing.

But, that's the part that's too hard for them.

They think that the Blessings come down in some crazy way, where they need to fight to death, and be rewarded.

And they saw many people who fought, waiting for the Blessing to come, but died in battle.

Although for Zypher, leveling up is easy, he can't do it. But for them, who can be levelled up, he is willing to be there for them.

"Ridiculous."

Melech said, but he saw the confidence in Zypher's eyes.

"I will help you.."

Upon hearing this, they all looked at Zypher, like he was kind of a lying ghost.

"...but please send me to the Knight Barracks first."

And that's why he is here.
