Light shone through the windowsill, as the morning came.
Outside, the people have recovered the yard, and by mana, they have fixed almost everything.
The porch, the balconies and the tiles on the yard that took the full brunt of the energies had been renovated, but there are still some parts that needed cleaning and a bit more design.
Sitting on the bed, with the window on his side, Zypher looked down on the busy people.
His forlorn face highlighted his jawlines and the youth of his face.
His right eye, which is platinum white cornea with black pupils shine with the sun, while his left eye, having a charcoal colored cornea with a white pupil feels like it is eating the light. His ash gray hair felt like waves of the sea that is unseen but is felt.
His face made a grim expression, as his core suddenly ached.
The emotions on his face painted a whole new art, but handsomeness is still for view only.
[Black Chain Curse (Augmented) - Absolute Weakling (Frozen Seal)]
- Speed Stat is lowered by 30%, and Energy Consumption is increased by 40%; Energy Accumulation is lowered by 80% and Energy Purity is decreased to 50%.
Seeing this, Zypher can not help but feel the pain from his physical and his mind at the same time.
As he tried to move, there was a sudden ache in his body, like being frostbitten, but it is bone-chilling and too cold.
"You awake?"
The door, which was ever silent, opened.
"I just woke up."
Zypher said, as the glacier-like coldness gnawed at his bones, almost crippling him.
Even so, he waved his hand, but the strangeness didn't escape Neri's eyes.
"Must be hard for you to move."
She sat down at a chair on the side of Zypher's bed.
"Yeah, it feels like I'm stuck in a mud."
He laid, sighed and plopped down. Silence fell down the room, but awkwardness broke it.
"Say.."
Neri started as she took a book from her inventory
"... what's the big idea?"
"Hmm?" Zypher answered in confusion.
"Why did you suddenly appeared at our front gate?"
Neri stated.
Zypher, understanding the question, smiled.
"Lun' Ari, the guild founded by one of the seven Heroes."
Neri, hearing the statement, raised her brows.
"The guild thrived when the guild Leader, Gimalus was alive, but suddenly fell down when the heroes gave their lives up."
"Are we gonna talk about history? Because I too know of--"
"But, the real reason you fell was not because of the support, but the main reason is the Unmelting--"
Adelaide, appearing before Zypher, like a ghost, suddenly put pressure on him.
He decided to cut off Neri from speaking, because he knew the information he has is the most legit one.
But, he didn't expect that even Adelaide will stop him from divulging such secrets.
The sudden cold inside the room raised the pain in Zypher's body, but he fought it, as he pointed at Adelaide.
"You...are..."
"Neri, go out. This conversation is not for you to hear."
Neri, hearing this, ran out as fast as she can out of the room.
Adelaide then put a barrier inside the room, that any physical nor energy intervention can happen.
She then stretched out her hand and grabbed Zypher by the neck.
"You dare to play with me?"
She said as she was about to smash Zypher to the ground, but he did not falter
"..the half.."
Upon hearing this, Adelaide stopped midway.
"Tsk."
She clicked her tongue, clearly disappointed.
"What do you want?"
Adelaide said as she clenched her fist.
Zypher, who was trying to inhale every air in the vicinity looked at her.
"I'm weak."
For the last three days, Zypher saw the weakness in him.
Constant running, and being chased or chased away.
His body went through tortures, and up to this day, he hasn't even played for a week.
His mind went on ups and downs, fainting, and even being chaotic.
His ways, have been blocked every time he took new ones, and his plans were always one step behind.
It has been only three days, but the stress he got was enough to break his mind down.
He hated to admit it, but compared to his past life, he is not as free as he thinks he is, nor as powerful.
And the memories he had?
It worked against him several times now.
"What does it have to do with me?"
Adelaide said, mocking Zypher.
But, instead of being offended, he just took the parchments out of his bag.
The first time he used this filter, the Mana Bullet scroll is the one at the top, but now, it is another skill named Qi Bullet.
This is like the Mana Bullet, but it uses another type of Energy, which is Qi.
Zypher then started to run his filter, and within a minute, a floating mass of pure Qi appeared before them.
Adelaide, seeing this, can't hide the feeling of surprise.
Her shock confirmed Zypher's hypothesis, but this did not make him happy.
"This technique is called the Energy Filter."
Zypher then took the Qi Energy to himself, and even if can only be 50 Mana inside him, Qi is a different energy.
But the backlash is big, because his body thought of energies as foreign bodies, so it suddenly became messy.
When Adelaide was going to help him, he fired the Qi Bullet out the window to release it, clearing his body off it.
FWOOOSH!
A high-pitched tone suddenly echoed, as the bullet vanished into the outer space.
"I am willing to share this to you."
Zypher looked at Adelaide, handing over the stack of papers.
"And what's the catch?"
Adelaide took the papers and examined it one by one.
"Help me become stronger."
Zypher did not mind. He is aware that this technique can only be used as a bargain, but his chips are not all-in yet
"And when the time is right, we will fetch your sister."
