Energy.
These are the fuel that makes players use their skill.
Mana is the main energy of the mages, which lets them use skills in combo, and has high conductivity of magic.
There are many kinds of energies in the game, but these ones are sometimes lacking compared to Mana.
And Zypher knows that well.
And so, the fifteen skills he took, is not for learning, but for filtering.
Suppose we say you have unclean water.
It is unsafe, deadly and not potable.
But if you pass it through a filter, and distill it, you will find that it is now safe and can be consumed.
That is the state of mana in front of him right now.
[Mana Particle - 75% Purity.]
Well, his filter is not yet that good, but 75% purity is already good.
Energy Stat, is one of the stats that even if you have small quantities, if your quality is good, then you can fight toe to toe against strong opponents.
For example, a Level 1 and Level 15 Mage players, and the Level 1 has 50% Purity while the Level 15 has unfiltered energy, the Level 1, although falling short, can fight the Level 15 on a standstill.
And this was proven by Zypher in his past life.
Now, he has one energy particle that is 75% pure, and he needs 94 of them to atleast fill up his bar.
And that's where the beauty of the game's systems shine.
When a player gets a full bar of energy, the average purity will be the one registered, and everytime the bar fills, it automatically filters it in that same purity.
After the tenth energy filter, 77%, which is a bit higher than the starting one, a notification popped up.
[Hidden Class can be chosen: Master of Mana. Do you want to take Class?]
Zypher immediately declined the offer and filtered the mana.
He knows he will be getting these ones, but he is looking for something much more.
That's why he started this in the first place.
[Congratulations, you have unlocked an Ability: Energy Manipulation.]
- your Energies, will always have +5% purity after filtration. Excess from 100% will not be counted.
He smiled as he saw the notification. This was another thing he set his eyes on.
Even if he did the filtration a hundred times,he can not get 100% right now, but a higher purity means higher potency.
The 5% in increase can help him, not just to make his output higher, but his means faster.
After a few minutes, he filtered almost 30 mana, and this was the third rejection from him.
He spent the next couple of minutes to filter, until he hit the 50 mana mark.
[Danger! Your mana purity is 81%, and your body can not take any more pure mana. Please raise your stats to handle it.]
"Huh? Is there something like this in my past life?"
He asked as he saw the warning signals blaring at him.
The first thing he did was to not pay attention, but then, when he filtered the 51st mana, it made an explosion that shook the whole inn he was staying.
It was not enough to topple it down, but it was loud enough to garner attention.
Although many did not understand what happened or where the explosion came from.
Inside the room, Zypher's mouth is agape, his eyes bewildered.
This was not the first time he met something like this, but surely, this meetings have been not so well for him.
Zypher thought for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
First conclusion is, as the warning says, he needs to also upgrade his other stats alongside the Energy stat, which is a bit hard, because he cannot level up.
There are two solutions for this: take up Stat Quests, which gives certains stats upon completion, or by repeating some actions again and again until you get that said stat point.
Which are both unusable for him for the meantime because he cannot do anything else about the Absolute Weakling Curse.
Second conclusion is, he needs to refill mana from time to time. Use it, and then, filter the incoming ones.
Either way, he can't do it inside his house, so he decided to take a trip around Ruintown.
Although it was familiar to him, it was somewhat unfamiliar due to the things he has been experiencing til now.
Upon scanning the small town, he found places he can do his experiments upon himself.
First is, the Knights. They are the soldiers who protects the town, and even players can join them.
Also, if a knight does bad deeds, they are punished accordingly, and without discrimination. That's why players often avoid it.
Next, is the Magic Tower. They are the ones who pioneers magic, but is also sensitive towards others.
If they knew a way to purify mana, they will almost certainly kill each other to become the patent of the said discovery; and right now, the mana filter is a pearl in a swine's neck for Zypher.
The third is the most unprobable ones: Guilds.
In Ruintown, players, Natives and even others form guilds to achieve their goals and other things they want to do in the game.
Take for example, the Explorer Guild, which explores the secrets of the game, and share it to others.
And guild people are more notorious than the Magic Tower or the Knights, because they have laws by themselves, and sometimes bypass authority.
Shaking his head, Zypher did the unthinkable.
Even for him, he didn't why he went here, but for now, he thinks this is the best idea for now.
He is in need of the time to grow, and at least, stand toe to toe against others, even if he is just a weakling.
Standing before the gates, he picked up the courage to step forward and open it.
Suddenly, a blade was aimed at his neck, and if he didn't dodged, he would've died from the attack.
"What are you doing here?"
