Chapter 6 - Brutalizing the Lizard!

Gwen glared furiously at the towering, reptilian monstrosity before her.

"Dr. Connors, this time I am going to defeat you and bring you to justice!"

Spider-Woman launched herself at the Lizard. While the monster possessed enough raw physical strength to casually snap reinforced concrete pillars in half, he was sluggish against the hyper-agile heroine. For a time, he had no choice but to endure her relentless barrage of attacks.

However, despite landing blow after blow, Gwen simply couldn't inflict any meaningful damage.

The Lizard's scaly hide was terrifyingly thick, and his cellular regeneration was absurd. Even though Gwen possessed superhuman strength capable of killing an ordinary man with a single punch, the blunt force trauma barely registered on the beast. Any minor lacerations she managed to inflict knitted back together almost instantly under his rapid healing factor.

Fueled by anger and adrenaline, Gwen fought fiercely, but her stamina depleted rapidly. It didn't take long for her to start panting heavily.

Having only recently acquired her superhuman abilities, Gwen was still fundamentally inexperienced. She lacked proper combat intuition and hadn't mastered her own strength. As her stamina plummeted, her speed and power drastically declined, inevitably forcing her onto the defensive.

Suddenly, the Lizard seized an opening. His massive claws clamped around one of her legs, hoisting her into the air before violently throwing her like a ragdoll.

Crash!

With a sickening thud, Gwen smashed into a dilapidated brick wall, leaving a human-shaped crater in the masonry.

Her body, still unaccustomed to such catastrophic trauma, locked up. A paralyzing wave of agony washed over her, completely scrambling her senses. She desperately struggled to push herself up, but a terrifying green shadow eclipsed the dim streetlights, plunging her into darkness.

A sharp, whistling sound tore through the air.

Bam!

Gwen was brutally kicked across the alleyway, skidding violently across the concrete. This time, she completely lost the strength to resist.

Heavy, earth-shaking footsteps approached. Gwen forced her heavy eyelids open, straining her neck to look up.

She watched the monstrous Lizard slowly lumber toward her. A suffocating shadow of death gripped her heart. The brilliant scientist, Dr. Curt Connors, had been completely swallowed by his primal, reptilian instincts. He possessed no shred of humanity left. He wasn't going to spare her.

Am I going to die? I just got these powers... I don't want to die!

But the excruciating pain radiating from every bone in her body, and her completely unresponsive muscles, delivered a cruel reality check. She had absolutely no fight left in her. She was going to sink into the abyss of death, just like that innocent gentleman from the alleyway.

Just then, a voice echoed from the dust and rubble.

A voice that absolutely should have been dead.

Gwen's breath hitched. She thought she was hallucinating from blood loss. But when the massive Lizard abruptly halted his advance, she knew she hadn't misheard.

That gentleman... he isn't dead?!

How is that even possible?!

The words that followed completely confirmed her impossible theory.

"Hey. Didn't you hear me, ugly?"

As the Lizard slowly turned his massive head toward the ruined substation, Su Mu stepped out from the settling dust. A diabolical, arrogant smirk curved his lips.

"Attacking me completely unprovoked... did you take me for an easy target?"

The Lizard tilted his head, his reptilian eyes blinking in primitive confusion. How had this fragile little ant survived?

Dr. Connors was a genius, but the Lizard was a beast governed by low intelligence and an insatiable instinct for destruction. Seeing that the ant was still breathing, the monster didn't bother to think. He simply roared, lunging straight at Su Mu to tear him to shreds!

Witnessing this, Gwen's heart plummeted. Even though she didn't understand how the man had survived the initial building collapse, there was no way an ordinary human could fight the Lizard head-on!

"Run!" she screamed desperately.

But the scene that unfolded next caused her eyes to widen in absolute, reality-shattering disbelief.

Roar!

The Lizard barreled toward Su Mu. While the beast appeared incredibly bulky, his sheer kinetic speed was astonishing—easily rivaling Spider-Woman's own agility. His massive weight didn't slow him down; it simply compounded his terrifying momentum.

Charging at Su Mu, the Lizard carried the devastating kinetic force of a speeding freight train.

But in the end, Su Mu thought coolly, it's just a truck.

Su Mu casually raised a single, pale hand. The space immediately surrounding him instantly fractured and folded, projecting the concept of infinity into reality.

Limitless!

Under Gwen's horrified gaze, the massive Lizard crashed down upon the slender, fragile-looking man. She braced herself for the gruesome sight of him being crushed into a bloody paste. She couldn't bear to watch.

And yet...

Su Mu's outstretched arm, looking as delicate as a chopstick before the towering beast, effortlessly stopped the monster dead in its tracks.

The Lizard could not advance a single millimeter!

What just happened?

What is wrong with this world?! Why does nothing make sense anymore?! Gwen's mind was reeling with a dozen questions at once.

Standing face-to-face with the roaring, violently struggling beast, Su Mu offered a blinding, radiant smile.

"Come on! Keep pushing! If you try just a little harder, you might actually be able to touch me!"

Provoked by the sheer arrogance of the prey, the Lizard flew into a berserk rage. His reptilian muscles bulged and coiled, channeling 100% of his monstrous strength into a devastating, point-blank strike.

But...

It was completely useless.

The gap between his fist and Su Mu was merely a few centimeters, yet it might as well have been the distance between two entirely different dimensions. It was an absolute, uncrossable void.

After toying with the oversized gecko for a few moments, Su Mu lost his patience. The absorbed energy in his cells rapidly converted into pure, volatile cursed energy, violently erupting around his physical vessel.

It was time to end this.

With his current Template Synchronization, his cursed energy reinforcement alone wasn't enough to overpower the Lizard's brute strength. But under the transcendental, atomic-level calculations of the Six Eyes, the Lizard was nothing more than a giant, predictable punching bag.

With the Limitless permanently active, the Lizard couldn't touch Su Mu. But Su Mu could touch him.

Channeling Gojo Satoru's unparalleled martial arts instincts, Su Mu launched his counterattack. To Gwen's absolute shock, this seemingly frail gentleman began brutally, systematically dismantling the towering monster!

Every single strike was flawlessly optimized. Every punch, elbow, and kick landed on perfect anatomical weak points with devastating lethality.

BANG!

A cursed-energy-infused kick slammed squarely into the Lizard's chest. The kinetic force practically folded the beast in half, launching him backwards through three consecutive brick walls before he finally crashed into the rubble.

But almost immediately, the monstrous reptile pushed himself back up. Despite the catastrophic internal damage Su Mu's strike had caused, his terrifying regenerative factor aggressively stitched his flesh and bone back together.

The glimmer of hope in Gwen's eyes dimmed once more.

This was exactly how she had been defeated. Even though this mysterious gentleman was impossibly strong, if he couldn't inflict lethal damage in a single blow, the Lizard would simply outlast his stamina and grind him down.

"Sir!" Gwen yelled, clutching her ribs. "Dr. Connors has an extreme healing factor! If you don't destroy him in one hit, he'll outlast you! Your damage output has to outpace his cellular regeneration!"

Su Mu didn't even glance at Spider-Woman. Instead, his crystalline blue eyes locked onto the increasingly frenzied Lizard as the fully healed beast charged at him once more.

A sinister, deeply diabolical smirk crept across Su Mu's face. He looked at the hulking monster with pure, transcendental mockery.

"Did you really think I couldn't handle you?"

He raised his right hand, his fingers elegantly curling inward. His voice dropped to a freezing, absolute zero.

"Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue."
