Even though Su Mu knew there was something profoundly wrong with the emaciated dwarf strapped to the brute's back, the invisible spatial blade was simply too fast. Even with the transcendental dynamic vision of the Six Eyes perfectly tracking its trajectory, his current physical speed wasn't enough to completely evade it.
However, thanks to the intense cursed energy reinforcing his physical vessel, the spatial slash didn't bisect him. It merely tore a thumb-thick gash across his waist.
Without missing a beat, Su Mu extended his hand. Channeling Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, he generated a massive gravitational singularity directly behind the gray giant.
The violent attractive force forcefully yanked the hulking brute backward. The already fractured brick wall could no longer withstand the immense pressure and completely shattered as the giant was dragged straight through it, crashing into the storefront behind them amidst the terrified screams of hiding civilians.
Because Su Mu hadn't charged the technique for lethal output, the giant—and the fragile dwarf he deliberately shielded—survived the crash completely unharmed.
The brute pushed himself up from the rubble, dusting off his shoulders. He completely ignored the screaming pedestrians and locked his cruel gaze onto Su Mu's bleeding torso. He let out a savage, mocking laugh.
"Stupid freak. That was a spatial severing slash! Let's see you try to warp space to block that!"
Cracking his knuckles, the brute stepped out of the ruined storefront, fully intending to fulfill his promise: break Su Mu's limbs and drag him back to Colonel Stryker. As for whether Su Mu bled to death on the way? Stryker absolutely despised mutants. He wouldn't bat an eye over the death of a broken tool.
...
Meanwhile, on a nearby rooftop overlooking the chaotic street, two powerful factions were locked in a tense standoff.
On one side stood the X-Men: Cyclops and Storm. On the other stood the Brotherhood of Mutants: Juggernaut and Mystique.
Both factions had converged on this location while tracking Su Mu's energy signature, leading to an immediate clash.
Cyclops kept two fingers resting cautiously on his ruby-quartz visor, ready to unleash a devastating interdimensional optic blast at a moment's notice. His voice was cold and resolute.
"Su Mu is fresh blood for our kind. We absolutely will not let you brainwash him into becoming a terrorist!"
Standing safely behind the towering mass of the Juggernaut, Mystique smirked, her golden eyes flashing with disdain.
"Mutants are the superior race. Humans are nothing more than insects," she retorted smoothly. "An exceptional mutant like Su Mu belongs with the Brotherhood. We will guide him down the true path!"
"And what is that 'true path'?" Cyclops shot back. "Slaughtering innocents and destroying cities?"
Just as the atmosphere reached a boiling point, Storm suddenly broke the tension.
"Look!" she gasped, pointing down at the street. "Su Mu is in serious trouble!"
Both factions instantly snapped their attention downward. The sole purpose of their mission was to recruit this newly awakened mutant; if Su Mu died, both sides failed.
They looked down just in time to see the spatial blade slice into Su Mu's waist, nearly cutting him in half.
"What?!" Cyclops shouted.
While they were busy arguing, Stryker's attack dogs had nearly assassinated their target! Even if Su Mu hadn't displayed the Omega-level power they were hoping for, watching a fellow mutant get butchered by the military was something none of them could tolerate.
Cyclops prepared to rip his visor off. Storm's eyes rolled back entirely white as the atmospheric pressure plummeted. Juggernaut dropped into a devastating charging stance.
They had to intervene and save him before the giant finished him off! Even with a wound that severe, there were mutants with healing abilities, and advanced medical tech could still save his life if they acted fast.
But suddenly, every single one of them froze. Their eyes widened in absolute, reality-shattering shock as they stared at the severely wounded boy below.
He had ANOTHER ability?!
...
Down on the street, the gray giant sneered, lumbering slowly toward Su Mu.
He planned to systematically snap all four of the boy's limbs before delivering him to Stryker. Stryker had plenty of healing mutants locked up in his labs; as long as 9527 had a single breath left, they could patch him up. And if he died? Then he was weak, and Stryker had no use for weaklings.
But after taking only a few steps, the giant abruptly halted. The savage sneer melted off his face, replaced by pure, unadulterated horror. He raised a trembling finger, pointing at Su Mu.
"You... you... how is that possible?! How the hell is your wound already gone?!"
Because of the distance and the thick dust kicked up by the collapsing wall, the giant hadn't gotten a clear look at Su Mu immediately after the attack.
Now, stepping out of the smoke, he had a front-row seat to an absolute miracle. The deep, thumb-thick spatial laceration on Su Mu's waist was regenerating at a terrifying, visible speed. In the few seconds it took the giant to walk over, the final trace of the wound seamlessly knitted itself back together, leaving flawless, unblemished skin behind.
The brute stared at the white-haired demon in disbelief.
An impenetrable spatial defense. A catastrophic, black-hole-like offensive ability. Superhuman physicals. And now... an extreme, hyper-regenerative healing factor?!
Was this monster truly just a mutant?!
Even the legendary Magneto or Professor X didn't possess this level of omnipotent versatility!
Could it be... is he a mythic Level 5 mutant?!
The flow of the battle completely inverted in an instant. Under the shocked gazes of the X-Men and the Brotherhood, the terrified stares of the military strike team, and the absolute horror of the gray giant, Su Mu flashed a diabolical, breathtaking smile.
"I take it back," Su Mu said, his voice echoing with transcendental authority. "Even if you drop to your knees and cry right now, I won't spare your life."
"You..."
The giant stumbled backward, entirely too terrified to close the distance.
His absolute trump card had been the dwarf's spatial blade—the only attack capable of bypassing 9527's impenetrable infinity. With that advantage rendered utterly meaningless by the boy's regeneration, the brute knew he was hopelessly outmatched.
In a panic, the giant reached over his shoulder, forcefully ripping the frail dwarf off his back and holding him out like a gun.
"Fire it again! Kill him!" the giant roared hysterically. "Aim for his heart this time! Do it!"
The spatial blade drained a catastrophic amount of energy from the dwarf. Having fired just one shot, the emaciated man was already trembling violently, his face deathly pale. But faced with the giant's murderous threats, the dwarf had no choice. He forced out another spatial slash.
The invisible blade was incredibly taxing, but its lethality and velocity remained terrifying.
This time, Su Mu was fully prepared, yet the sheer speed of the concept-cutting slash still managed to catch his arm. The invisible blade carved a horrific gash straight to the bone. Had Su Mu not shifted his weight at the absolute last microsecond, his arm would have been severed entirely.
Despite the gruesome injury, Su Mu didn't display a shred of panic.
Under the transcendental flow of the Reverse Cursed Technique, positive energy flooded his cells. The bone seamlessly fused, the muscles reconnected, and the skin closed over. The severe, crippling wound vanished in mere seconds!
Watching Su Mu flawlessly heal a lethal injury right before his eyes entirely shattered the giant's will to fight.
Without a second thought, the brute violently hurled the exhausted dwarf straight at Su Mu as a distraction, spun on his heel, and sprinted away as fast as his massive legs could carry him.
"Stop him!" the fleeing giant screamed at the surrounding soldiers. "Keep him busy!"
The giant had completely abandoned his mission. Facing Colonel Stryker's wrath for failure offered a slim chance of survival. Facing this white-haired, immortal demon offered none.
Watching the dwarf hurtling toward him, the Six Eyes instantly confirmed the emaciated mutant's energy reserves were completely dry; he couldn't fire another spatial blade.
Without a hint of mercy, Su Mu simply raised his hands.
Under the dwarf's despairing gaze, an overwhelming, localized spatial pressure crushed inward. With a sickening crunch, the dwarf's body was violently pulverized in mid-air. He didn't even have the chance to scream. Blood and viscera exploded outward like a morbid firework.
Yet, not a single drop stained Su Mu's pristine clothes. The blood, just like the torrential hail of bullets fired by the panicked soldiers, froze harmlessly in the air, incapable of crossing the infinite distance of the Limitless.
Su Mu ignored the chaotic gunfire bouncing off his infinity. He slowly turned his gaze toward the fleeing giant, who was already putting a significant distance between them.
If he did nothing, the brute would actually escape. Su Mu casually decided that wasn't going to happen.
He raised his right hand, extending his index finger perfectly toward the retreating giant's back. The energy within him violently inverted.
