"There you guys are, I've been looking everywhere for you" Ronald said as he puts his hand on Kyle shoulder.
"Get your filthy hand off me" slapping Ronald's hands off him before storming to the exist.
"What happened here" Ronald asked, referring about Kyle's attitude and the hall, clutching the hand Kyle had slapped.
"Nothing" Olivia replied, heading to where Kyle had run off to.

The Lucas family all sat down at the table for dinner. Gold cutleries, where arranged accentuating the silver polished table.
The dinning hall was decorated with different artworks from renowned artists, showing off the vast wealth of the Lucas. The beige marble floor glimmer as it reflected the moon light coming from the windows by the walls The Lucas were arranged based on their status with Ronald at the head, Zayne and Sir Fedric sat at his sides, Kathyln, Luke and Olivia were beside Zayne, the rest of the main family followed before the branch.
At the other end of the table sat Elijah, a renowned mage from the branch. The way his movement were eloquent and precise proved he competence in magic. Beside Sir Fedric, sat Cerci, uninterested in what they were talking about.
Olivia kept glancing at the empty chair in front of her, where Kyle was supposed to sit. She was worried at where he might be and how the elders would act when the noticed he was absent. Eventually she couldn't take it anymore and decided to excuse herself from the table when no one was paying attention to look for him. Walking through the corridors, she spotted Kyle in an old abandoned room - Cerci's former room.
The doors had been broken, the room dusty, no one had bothered to clean it up after Cerci left.
Perceiving her presence, "This was hers, wasn't it?" his attention still at the ragged doll in his hands. He didn't bother to push the issue when Olivia didn't respond, he walked towards the windows facing the garden, rubbing his hands across the edges he felt a drop of blood.
She must've have been bleeding when she ran away, that means she had done it after her training session with her dad. Turning back to see Olivia staring at him, with watery eyes, from the door.
Maybe I was too hard on the girl, it's not like she was there when it happened.
Feeling a pang of guilt, he approached her, "Look, I'm sorry - interrupted from Olivia's sudden hug he froze.
" I'm sorry for what I said back then. I didn't mean to offend you " she sobbed, her tears soaking into his white shirt.
For a while Kyle stood there holding her as she sobbed, when he noticed she had calmed down and had raised her head, he patted her head," You didn't offend me" comforting her "And I'm sorry for being rude to you when you were only trying to help me"
Olivia realized that they were still hugging each other, she pushed herself away from Kyle, her face turning red up to her ears, "Well I guess I can forgive you" she muttered, more to herself.
"Oh shit" recalling why she was looking for Kyle "We're gonna be in a lot of trouble if they find out we're late"
"For what?"
"Dinner, where do you the rest of us where?"
'No wonder everywhere was strangely quiet' he thought.
"And worse of all, we're the only ones absent, what are we going to say?" she said, worried her mom would think they were having an illicit affair.
"Just say, you were showing me around and lost track of time" Kyle shrugged, aloof about the whole situation.
"Do you even know where you're going?" she yelled at Kyle who had gone ahead of her " it's this way" pointing to the other direction.
Kyle and Olivia walked into the dining hall, catching the attention of everyone, even Cerci who had been nonchalant gave Kyle a face that says "Just day one and you're already chasing after the ladies"
"Young woman where have you been" Kathyln retorted
"I'm sorry Lady Kathyln, Olivia was showing me around when we lost track of time" Kyle chipped in, making his voice sound remorseful
"Since that's the case we'll handle the matter later, how about you join us over here" Zayne said trying to dissolve the matter. Kathyln seeing what her husband was doing didn't press the issue. Kyle sat beside Cerci and Olivia returned to her chair, infront of him.
Every time Ronald try to indulge Kyle in a chat, he would shrug it off or answer rudely. Ronald kept bombarding Kyle with questions in which Kyle ignored him,more eyes kept looking at what was going on, seeing Kyle disrespect Ronald. Soon enough Ronald couldn't take it anymore and bellowed "Since you came here you have been rude, I've tried to overlook but it's enough. I don't know where you pick that character from but that's not how the Lucas acts."
Anger getting the better of Kyle, he chucked "Not how a Lucas act, Ronald you're hilarious. If you truly know how a Lucas should behave, then I suppose neglecting your child for the better half of her first year, before tormenting her for the rest of her stay here so much so that she prefer living wild animals than staying with her father. Aren't you not ashamed of yourself? Now that she has returned with a kid you want to befriend her child to try and amend your relationship with her. Do you think because you feel remorseful that it's enough to attone for what you had done? Don't make me laugh" he pause looking, turning his head towards Elijah who had slammed the table and was now staring at him "Enough" he screamed.
Kyle replied "Enough you say, why is it now now you can say that word? Why couldn't you have said it years ago when all that was happening. You knew what was happening but yet you decided to ignore it. Now you're here trying to flaunt the authority that you lack. You both are no difference t - Kyle, you've stated your point, it's enough" said Cerci not bothering to remove her gaze from her food.
"Excuse me" he clipped, storming out of the hall.
"The kid has guts, he really takes after you" Fedric chucked, talking to Cerci.
"I suppose he does" she replied facing where Kyle had stormed of to.
