..... FOUR YEARS LATER.....
"Kyle! Kyle! Wake up. You gonna be late." Olivia said, shaking Kyle.
"I'm up" sitting up on his bed, he looks out the windows.
Today was the Transfer examination date for Stormcove academy. It had been four years since he started living with the Lucas.
Although Luke didn't liked the idea of him staying here, but after a while he warmed up to Kyle.
Every morning , Zayne would train them, and after that they would have a spar. Kyle won most of the spars but sometimes Luke would outsmart him.
Kyle visits Cerci when he has the chance to, he couldn't go always because of the distance, so he endeavor to write her a letter each week.
Kyle had long passed the threshold of a 6th circle mage and was now a master. Luke, a bi-elemental recently attained his 5th circle also called a regalion. He was the next in line to inherit the hero's mark, so he was tutored each day by Zayne and some instructors on how well to utilize his mana.
During those times, Kyle would be in his room, meditating and purifying his core. He had gone this far because of the runes on his body. Kyle tried his best to hide it from anyone, using the mana suppression bracelets Cerci gave him, to conceal it.
Olivia had awoken as an emitter and specialized in barrier magic. Unlike her brother, she was in the 5th circle referred to as B-rank, due to the fact that emitters obtain circles faster than elementals.
In his second year, Olivia and Luke started attending Stormcove, the most prestigious school in the capital. Most race attend this school since it doesn't favor or discriminate anyone based on their status.
Some Nobles didn't like going to the same school with commoners but they say anything for fear of it's headmaster.
Kyle was delayed from attending because on the little knowledge he had.
During his leisure time when he was done refining his core, he studied on the basis. Luke and Olivia had been helpful, explaining some things he didn't understand. Now he was sitting for the transfer exam.
He got up from the bed and opened the curtains, letting his body absorb the sunlight.
"You sure look excited, many people would be envious of you. Not feeling tense about writing the exam to a prestige academy" Olivia commented, taking a seat on his bed.
She was dressed in her uniform. Luke and her had been waiting for Kyle to get dress so they'll head out together. They had waited for a hour when Olivia had enough and decided to call him. Only to see that he hadn't even woken up.
"Since you aren't ready, Luke and I would be leaving without you" she said, taking her leave.
The exam starts later in the day, so Kyle wasn't worried about being late. He went through his books for the next two hours, taking his bath when he was done.
After he had shower, he came to the mirror in his closet. He looks at the reflection of his hair. It has grown long and was due to be cut.
'I'll get it trimmed later' he thought to himself. Manifesting a thread of mana, he packed his hair, the same manner Olivia did it,leaving some hair to fall down his cheeks.
There wasn't a dress code for the exam, he decided to wear all black, the only thing he wore that wasn't black was his white cloak and ivory bracelet.
He stepped down to have a light breakfast. Zayne opted to take him, but he declined, wanting to go alone.
When he had gone some distance, he branched of into an alley. It didn't take long for him to find Olivia's mana signature, he noticed someone's else, whoever person was had a strong mana signature. Kyle hoped to find out who it was.
Taking to the skies, Kyle used the first seconds to position himself right. He still wasn't used to flying, having obtained the ability after reaching the 6th circle. He has had little time to master this skill, so he couldn't control his body, spending some seconds to get balance.
He flew towards the school, landing on the roof of a building, some distance away from the school to not draw attention.
He surveyed the schools structure, it's auburn standing majestically under the sun. There was a clock tower beside the main gate. The school was big enough to be considered a town, housing over three thousand individuals. Gaint black walls barricaded the premises. People flocked into the school, supposedly here for the same reason as Kyle. No matter how many times Kyle saw the school, he couldn't help but appreciate it's aesthetic structures.
Kyle came down from roof, landing gracefully. He walked to where other people like him had lined up and blended himself with the crowd.
A huge man came out from a door beside the gate. He introduced himself as Wilbeck, telling them that he was their guide and he would excort them to where the exam was to be held.
They were led to a large hall, where they were addressed by the headmaster, a grey haired man, who introduced himself Duncan.
As he talked, his eyes searched the crowd, landing on Kyle. When he and Kyle locked eyes, he whispered something to the female secretary beside.
