(Won is sitting with the wardrobe open, and clothes are scattered everywhere.) eun: What are you doing? Why have you pulled out so many clothes?
Won: (Laughing)
Haha... Oh, I was looking for an outfit for the party, but none of the colors seem to suit me. Is this blue one okay? Or why don't you pick a dress for me?
Eun: (Angrily) Seriously? What kind of nonsense is this? Have you lost your mind? I was tired, which is exactly why I was trying to sleep. Did you have absolutely no consideration for that? Won: Hey, calm down, friend. What's the big deal? I just couldn't fall asleep, so I thought I'd take a look at what to wear to the party.
Eun: By the way, why are you getting so excited? Why do you want to get all dressed up? Wan: It's nothing like that—but don't I have the right to want to look good?
Eun: Yeah, I figured it out. This is for that grumpy 'Kangaroo,' isn't it? What do you think? Do you really believe he'll fall in love with you? I certainly don't think so.
Won: I don't *like* him, but I want to impress him so that he treats me properly. That's why I want to wear nice clothes. He is incredibly handsome, so I just feel drawn to him.
Eun: Oh... Alright, fair enough. But I need to go to sleep now, so clean up this entire mess first.
Won: Okay, I'll do it. My work here is done anyway. If none of these dresses look good on me, I'll just buy a new one.
Eun: Fine, have it your way.
(She starts to leave, but then runs back in.) Oh, one important thing—turn off the lights.
Won: I'll take care of everything. You go on and get some rest; don't worry about a thing.

(In the Party Hall – Nighttime)
(A party is in full swing at the office. Music is playing, and the Chairman is busy welcoming everyone. Just then, a few of his friends approach him, drinks in hand.)
Mr. Cha: (To the Chairman) Cheers, Chairman Kang!
Mr. Shi: Congratulations, Kang! (Laughing) You've finally retired. From now on, your son will take the reins of this company.
Mr. Cha: (Laughing) Yes, now he'll be playing this 'game' every day—and setting new records while he's at it! (Everyone bursts into loud laughter.) Mr. Shi: All that aside, even if your company were to slip to the number two spot, Kang would surely bring it back to number one—just as he did when he propelled this company to the top in Paris.
Mr. Cha: You're absolutely right. But wait a minute—where is the man we're talking about?
Chairman: He should be arriving any moment now.
Mr. Cha: Right, fair enough. In the meantime, let's have a drink. (Everyone begins chatting amongst themselves.)

Int. — Kang's Villa
(Park arrives at Kang's house, fully dressed and ready to go. Kang is sitting on the sofa, reading a book, and has not yet gotten ready.)
Park: Kang, what is this? Why aren't you ready yet? We're going to be late for the party. Come on, go get ready.
Kang: You go ahead; I'm not coming.
Park: You have to come. I told the Chairman I'd pick you up. So—is it because of *her* that you're not coming? Don't act like that. She's your...
Kang: (Throwing the book aside) She is nothing to me! And why would I not come just because of her? I couldn't care less whether she shows up there or not. I'm simply not in the mood, so I just want to relax.
Park: If that's really the truth, then what's the problem with coming along? If only for the Chairman's sake—at least don't disappoint *him*. If you could fly all the way back from Paris to Korea for the Chairman, why can't you come to a party?
Kang: Fine, fine. I'll come—but only for Dad. Just for him; I don't want to let him down. So you wait right here. I'll go get ready and be right back.
Park: (Stepping forward) I'll come with you. I'll help you get ready faster.
Kang: (Stopping Park) There's no need for any of that. I can get ready perfectly well on my own.
Park: (Walking up to Kang and placing a hand on his shoulder) (Kang brushes his hand away) What are you doing? Are you getting shy? I'm a guy, too, you know!
Kang: (Pushing him away) Back off, and don't get any ideas! I'm going to go get ready; you just sit right here.
(Kang walks into the other room; Park sits down on the sofa and starts reading Kang's book.)
Park: Man, Kang reads such boring books! (And he sets the book aside.)
CUT TO
(Kang takes a shower first; after bathing, he steps out wrapped in a towel, pulls a suit from the wardrobe and puts it on, selects a watch from his collection to wear on his wrist, and—now fully dressed—steps out.)
Kang: I'm ready. Let's go.
(Park stands there, gazing at him.)
Park: You look so handsome, Kang! It looks like every girl out there is going to be swooning over you today. That's just how it always goes with you; meanwhile, it feels like no one will even spare a glance for me. I'm destined to stay single forever.
Kang: Oh, shut up! Aren't you running late? Why are you spouting such nonsense? Besides, I have absolutely no interest in girls; I'll just tell them to go chase after *you* instead.
Park: No, no—I'm perfectly fine being single. Girls get way too angry.
Kang: Anyway, enough chatter. Let's get going.
Park: Yeah, let's go. (The two of them step outside; the driver opens the car door for them, they both get inside, the driver starts the engine, and they drive off.)
