Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Welcome to the Fairy Kingdom

Huff… Huff… Huff… Takeru panted, the had been literally walking for a whole day for real.

"I thought… that you were… joking… when you said that it will take us a whole day." He said, unable to catch his breath.

There was no water nearby, and worst of all, there was no sign that water was near.

"Takeru, you are so weak. What race are you from anyway, I've never seen anybody so weak and fragile." Alika mocked.

"Shut up… Just because you can go two days without water and sleep, that doesn't mean the rest of us can do the same." He responded.

"Now then, can't you use your magic and get me some water?" He asked.

"Of course I can, but firstly you must beg me." She said, amused with Takeru's frustration.

"Damn You! You're enjoying this, aren't you, but fine, I'll play along." He responded.

He went one knee down, placed his right arm on top of the thigh of the bent leg, and bowed his head as if talking to royalty.

"Alika my lady, I beg of you to use your magic and get me some water." He said.

Takeru looked majestic. He looked like he was making a royal plead, his eyes shining with a gleaming shine of yellow.

Alika's face turned red, her cheeks, though, were the most part of her face, which was red, and her heart raced.

She felt as though she was going to explode due to the charisma Takeru had.

His charms sinked into her, and she panicked.

'He looks so cute,' She thought.

"Hey, Alika, you cool?" Takeru asked.

"Yes I'm fine." She said.

She released her magic and used a water spell, and out of thin air, it appeared, and she shot it straight at his mouth.

He drank the water and regained all of his strength, and so they continued walking until the day was over.

They decided to set up camp somewhere because if they continued walking like that, they would only decrease their stamina, and if they were to encounter danger, they would be in trouble.

After setting up camp, Takeru went to the nearest river and fished, and after some time, he returned with a lot of fish in his hands.

This was his first time fishing, and he caught so many that it was praise worthy.

He handed them over to Alika, and she cooked, and when it was ready, they ate and took a nap afterward.

The morning, they continued their journey to the Fairy Kingdom.

On their way, they were passing through a burnt down forest, filled with skeletons of many faries and a few dragons.

Some of the faries were still corpses, their blood had dried our entirely, and bugs ravaged their flesh, and the corpses were stinky and rotten.

Takeru felt like he wanted to puke. He placed his hand on his mouth to stop himself, but he ended up taking out everything he ate yesterday.

"Takeru are you okay?" Alika asked, while patting him on the back.

"No, I'm not okay." He said and puked even more as he looked again.

"I see, so you've never seen a dead body," She said.

Takeru stopped puking and placed his hand on his mouth. He took a breather.

"What happened here?" He asked.

"About a month ago, the Dragon Kingdom declared war on the whole world, and they attacked many Kingdoms. Some were able to fend them off, but others were conquered, and after that, the dragons had not made any other moves." Alika explained.

'I can't believe it! I guess dragons really are always the bad guys.' Takeru thought, unable to believe that his hopes were shattered.

"Let's continue."

Alika grabbed his hand.

"Yeah… let's go."

After a long journey, they finally made it to a forest where, on the other side is the Fairy Kingdom.

"We're here." Alika said.

Takeru looked around, tried to peek through the forest, and even looked above, but he didn't see anything.

"Where's the Kingdom??" He scratched his head in confusion.

"You won't see the Kingdom. After the war, we used a barrier so the Kingdom would not be detected by the dragons, even if they fly above."

She placed her hands in her hips and looked proud.

"Hold up… I just realized you could've flown us all the way here, with your wings. Why didn't you do it?" Takeru wondered.

"I would've never been able to fly the both of us." She said.

She took steps closer to the forest, placed one arm in front of her, and reached out the other hand to Takeru.

"Well, shall we go inside?" She asked.

"Yeah." Takeru answered with determination.

Alika walked straight to the forest, and as she entered, it looked like she was disappearing.

Takeru realized what was going on, the forest was an illusion, and only faries or people who were holding on to faries could go inside.

Alika entered and pulled Takeru in as well.

He started walking to the forest, and just as when he was about to enter, he stopped.

He hesitated.

What if they don't like me? What if they hate ne because I'm different? What if I just get the sane treatment as the one back at my world?

These questions ran through his head, stopping him entirely from entering the Kingdom.

Alika felt his hesitation and quickly pulled him inside, but Takeru used his superior strength and not only stopped her but pulled her out as well.

He let go of her hand, and then he took a seat on a rock.

"Takeru what's going on? Why won't you come?" Alika asked.

Takeru responded with, "I can't take the risk. What if they all hate me?"

Alika reveleaded a pleasant smile, "Takeru, I don't know what you went through, but I just want you to know that I'm here, I'm here for you."

Alika pulled out her hand for him and waited for him to take it.

Takeru went completely silent. He wasn't ready to face anymore, criticizing and hating on him.

After he made his decision, Takeru took out his hand and grabbed Alika's.

Both of them entered the Fairy Kingdom, and WOW …it was utterly majestic, not even words could describe it perfectly.

The sun's rays covered the whole Kingdom, flower crystal spires rose from the ground, pinkish blue birds sang songs only heard by trees.

Bridges of wood curved between rivers, trees with leaves that shined with silver veins that pulsed in rhythm with the heartbeat of the Kingdom.

Waterfalls flowed from the upper tiers of the Kingdom into deep, glowing lakes where fishes swam.

Above it all, the great Flack [The name of the Castle] outshined the whole Kingdom, it was 100 metres tall, so big that it looks like it touches the clouds from afar.

Takeru's jaw dropped, his eyes glimmered with a yellow shine, for the first time after a long while, his eyes looked like they were filled with life.

The Kingdom was breathtaking, his mouth remained open, and tears fell down.

"Wooow…" Was the only thing that escaped his mouth.

"Beautiful isn't it," Alika smiled.

Takeru removed his tears with the back of his hand and responded.

"Yeah… this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."
