I stood there for a moment.
His touch still lingering on my hand.
I shook my head slightly.
What was I even thinking.?
He was the boss. Dangerous. Unpredictable.
I quickly made my way back through the passage.
Every step felt different now.
Not just fear... something else was there too.
I slipped back into my room and closed the wardrobe panel.
Everything looked normal again.
But inside me -- everything had changed.
Later that day.. I was downstairs.
The moment I entered the hall, I felt it.
He was already there.
Sitting calmly like always.
Our eyes met for a second.
I quickly looked away.
Trying to act normal.
"Sit," he said.
I sat quietly.
My heart beating faster than before. Arin stood nearby watching everything carefully.
Did you rest well..? the boss asked.
I nodded yes. A lie.
His eyes stayed on me a moment longer like he remembered everything.
Then he looked away. Silence filled the room again. But this time... It wasn't just fear.
It was unspoken. Something neither of us said but both understood.
After breakfast, I walked into the hallway.
Trying to clear my mind. But something felt wrong. Like someone was watching me.
I kept walking slowly.
"Stop" his voice. I froze instantly.
He was standing behind me. I turned slowly. He stepped closer.
You shouldn't walk alone... he said.
His tone cold... But his eyes were not.
"I was just..."
My words faded. He moved slightly closer.
"Be careful," he said quietly.
"Not everyone here is safe."
My breath caught.
Was he warning me..?
Before I could understand.
Another man appeared.
And just like that... Everything changed .
His face turned cold again.
"Go to your room," he ordered.
I nodded quickly and walked away.
But even then I could still feel it. His eyes on me. Always watching.
And for the first time....
I wasn't sure if I should be afraid...
Or something else.
