Chapter 22 - The World of Infinite Books

We stood back in the Nexus, the heavy stone door of the desert world fading into the starry distance. I carefully placed the Gem of Eternity into my bag, and I could feel the weight of power growing with every step we took. We had command over time itself now.

"Wow," Aiko exhaled, looking at her hands. "I still feel that ancient energy. That place was... serious. But we made it through."

"Right," I grinned, adjusting my camera. "We faced time and won. But now... I feel like reading something. Or learning something new."

My eyes scanned the infinite array of doors floating in the void. We had seen machines, dreams, data, fire, music... my gaze stopped at one that looked incredibly peaceful and inviting.

It wasn't made of wood or metal. It was made of dark green leather and brass, looking exactly like the cover of a giant, ancient encyclopedia. The patterns on it looked like rows and rows of text, and it radiated a feeling of absolute silence and knowledge.

"That one," I pointed. "It feels... quiet. Smart."

"Library world?" Aiko guessed, smiling. "Oh, I would love that! Somewhere quiet where we can just read and relax."

"Let's go," I said, walking towards it.

[Stream is Live]

"Hello everyone! Welcome back! We just left the hot desert, and now... it looks like we are heading to the biggest library in existence!"

I reached out and opened the leather cover door.

The moment we stepped through, the world changed completely.

We weren't standing on ground. We were standing on a pathway made of stacked pages. And everywhere we looked... there were books.

Towering skyscrapers that were actually bookshelves reaching up to the sky. Bridges made of connected scrolls. Rivers that flowed with liquid ink. And the sky above was filled with floating letters, words, and sentences that drifted by like clouds.

The air smelled of paper, dust, and old parchment. It was the most comforting smell in the world.

"Whoa..." I breathed out, spinning around. "Minna-san... we are literally inside a book. This is the Bibliotheca Universalis!"

[ilikecatslol6767]: OMFG EVERYTHING IS BOOKS??? I WANNA LIVE HERE 📚✨

[womanizer796901]: SMART ARC!!! RIZU IS GONNA BECOME A WIZARD NOW LMAO 🧙‍♂️📖

[sigmafalcon]: NEW REALM JUST UNLOCKED LETS GOOOOO 📖📖

"This realm is called Libraria, the World of Stories and Knowledge," I read the information flowing into my mind. "It says here that every story ever told, every fact ever discovered, and every secret ever kept is stored here. And the people here... they are the Keepers of Words."

Just as I finished speaking, a small, floating creature flew to us. It looked like a cross between a butterfly and a bookmark.

'Welcome, seekers,' it chimed. 'Please maintain silence. And do not fold the pages of reality. Thank you.'

[ilikecatslol6767]: THAT THING IS SO CUTE??? BOOKMARK BUTTERFLY 🦋🔖

We started walking carefully along the paper path. It was amazing. We saw buildings shaped like dictionaries, towers shaped like novels, and people walking around wearing robes made of fabric and text. They were all reading, writing, or discussing happily.

Hana was being very quiet, walking softly beside me. She even tried to catch a floating word, but it dissolved in her paws.

"This is so peaceful," Aiko whispered, smiling. "I could stay here forever."

But as we walked deeper towards the center, where the Grand Encyclopedia stood, things started to look... wrong.

The beautiful white pages turned yellow and then grey. The crisp text started to blur and smudge. The bright, clear words turned into messy scribbles and ink blots.

And the air... it started to feel heavy. Like the pages were being pressed down by a giant weight.

Splat.

A drop of black ink fell from the sky. Then another. Then a whole rain of them.

"Warning..." a voice echoed, sounding like pages tearing. 'The Ink is spreading. The Words are being erased.'

"No!" I ran forward. "We have to stop it!"

[womanizer796901]: OH NO NOT AGAIN!!! WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP BREAKING PRETTY WORLDS??? 😭😭

[ilikecatslol6767]: HURRY RIZU!!! SAVE THE STORIES!!! 🛡️📖

We ran through the dissolving library, jumping over gaps where the floor had turned into blank paper. Finally, we reached the center.

In the middle stood the Core of the realm, a massive crystal that glowed with golden light, projecting all the words of the world. But right now, it was being covered.

Covered by a massive wave of black, sticky ink.

And standing on top of it, writing furiously with a giant brush, was a figure.

It was a man wearing a long, dark coat covered in paint stains. His hair was wild, and his eyes were glowing with dark purple light. He was splashing ink everywhere, covering up all the existing text.

"STOP!" I shouted, stepping forward. "What are you doing?! You are destroying all the knowledge! All the stories!"

The man stopped and turned around slowly. He smiled, but it was a dark, chaotic smile.

"Destroying?" his voice echoed like a typewriter on speed. "No! I am improving it! The old stories are boring! They are finished! I am writing a new story! One that never ends! One that fills every page completely!"

"But you are covering everything!" I argued. "No one can read it! No one can understand it! It's just a mess!"

"Understanding is boring!" he roared. "I want chaos! I want noise! I want to write until there is no more space left! I am the Author! And this is my masterpiece!"

He raised his giant brush.

"I am... Calligrapher Void!"

[ilikecatslol6767]: OH NO HE IS THE VILLAIN??? HE WANTS TO ERASE EVERYTHING??? 🖌️🖤

[womanizer796901]: FIGHT HIM WITH WORDS!!! USE THE POWER OF LANGUAGE!!! 🗣️📝

"Attack!" Void shouted.

He swung his brush, and a wave of giant, sharp Chinese characters and symbols came flying at us! They were heavy and hard like stone blocks!

CLANK! CLANK!

I blocked with a shield of wind, but the words were so heavy they pushed me back.

"He is using words as weapons?!" I gasped.

"Yes!" Void laughed. "In this world, words have power! And my words are... DESTRUCTION!"

He wrote the character for FIRE in the air, and actual fire exploded! He wrote the character for ICE, and spikes of ice appeared!

He was rewriting reality itself!

"Aiko, dodge!" I yelled.

We were running out of space. The entire room was being filled with his messy, aggressive writing. The walls were closing in.

"I can't keep blocking forever!" I panted. "He is too creative! Too fast!"

Void grew larger, his body turning into living ink. "Give up, boy! Your story is over! I am writing 'The End' for you!"

He raised his brush high, ready to write a giant word that would crush us.

[Chat is moving fast]

[ilikecatslol6767]: NOOOO DON'T LET HIM WRITE!!! 😭😭😭

[womanizer796901]: USE THE GEM OF TRUTH!!! USE THE GEM OF NETWORK!!! 📡💎

I closed my eyes. I thought about what I had.

I had the Gem of Truth. I had the Core of Logic. I had the power of all the viewers.

And then... I remembered. Words aren't just weapons. They are connection.

I opened my eyes. They were glowing bright white.

"You want to write?" I shouted, stepping forward through the rain of ink. "Then let's see who has the better story!"

I raised my hands, and I didn't fight with fists. I fought with sentences.

I pointed at him, and golden words appeared in the air.

"GOOD"

"HOPE"

"FRIENDSHIP"

Each word I created shone with blinding light. When they hit his dark ink, they purified it. They turned the black mess into beautiful, clean calligraphy.

"What?!" Void stumbled back, shocked. "Your words... they are so bright! They burn my eyes!"

"Because they are true!" I walked closer, writing in the air with my fingers. "You write alone! But I write with millions of people behind me!"

I touched the Gem of Network.

Connect.

Suddenly, the chat appeared again, but this time it wasn't just on screen. It floated in the air around me, turning into physical text.

[ilikecatslol6767]: WE LOVE U RIZU!!! ❤️❤️❤️

[womanizer796901]: YOU ARE THE BEST!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Millions of comments, millions of likes, millions of support.

I gathered all of them into a single, massive paragraph of power.

"THIS IS OUR STORY!" I roared.

I pushed my hands forward, and a giant book appeared behind me, opening its pages wide.

[ULTIMATE SPELL: EPILOGUE OF LIGHT]

A flood of pure white pages and golden words washed over everything. It didn't destroy Void. It just... finished his sentence. It corrected his mistake.

The dark ink turned into clear water. The messy scribbles turned into beautiful poetry. The aggressive symbols turned into peaceful messages.

'I... wrote too much...' Void whispered, his size shrinking back to normal. His dark eyes turned clear again. "I forgot... that empty space is just as important as the words. You need silence to hear the story."

He fell to his knees, looking at his hands which were now clean.

"I am sorry... I just wanted to be a great writer..."

I walked up to him and placed my hand on his shoulder.

"You are a great writer, Void. But next time... write with us, not against us. Let's make stories that everyone can enjoy together."

Void looked up and smiled, a genuine, shy smile. "Okay... I understand now."

The entire realm was restored.

The pages turned white and clean again. The ink flowed clear and blue. The floating words turned into happy songs and poems.

From the center, the Core Crystal floated down to me. It was shaped like an open book and a quill.

'The Tome of Omniscience,' the voice echoed. 'With this, you shall know all answers, speak all languages, and never forget anything.'

I took the gem. It felt light, wise, and incredibly powerful.

Void walked up to us, holding a small gift.

"As an apology," he said, handing me a small scroll. "This contains the map of all the worlds. It will help you on your journey."

"Thank you!" I grinned, taking it.

We spent the rest of the day reading amazing stories, eating snacks that tasted like vanilla and paper, and just enjoying the silence and wisdom of Libraria.

Eventually, it was time to leave. We stood back at the entrance door.

"That," Aiko said, yawning happily but also looking energized. "Was so relaxing. My brain feels full of knowledge now."

"Right," I laughed, looking at my growing collection of gems. "We understand so much now. We have power over almost everything."

I looked at the camera.

"Minna-san, we saved the Library World! And now we have the ultimate wisdom! There is still so much more to see, so many more doors to open!"

"Let's keep going together!"
