We stood back in the Nexus, the digital door fading away behind us. I could still feel the lingering warmth and excitement in my heart. The memory of Neko stepping out of the screen, fighting alongside us, was something I would never forget.
"That was..." Aiko breathed out, still looking slightly shocked. "That was absolutely crazy. I mean... viewers? Actually here? Fighting? Who would have thought that was possible?"
I laughed, holding the Gem of Network tightly in my hand. It hummed with a vibrant energy, connecting me to everyone watching. "Right? We aren't just exploring worlds anymore. We are breaking boundaries."
Hana purred loudly, rubbing against my leg. She seemed happy too, probably remembering all the pets and attention she got during the battle.
I looked out at the vast sea of doors floating in the starry void. We had collected so many treasures already. We had power over ice, storm, forest, ocean, music, truth, fire, machines, dreams... and now connection.
But the journey was far from over. There were still millions of doors waiting.
My eyes were suddenly drawn to one that looked ancient and weathered. It wasn't shiny or bright. It was made of rough stone and clay, colored in shades of ochre, brown, and deep gold. Carvings of pyramids, sphinxes, and suns decorated the frame. It radiated a feeling of history, weight, and timelessness.
"That one," I pointed, walking towards it. "It feels... old. Really old. Like it has been there since the beginning of time."
"Desert realm?" Aiko guessed, adjusting her gear. "Or maybe an ancient civilization world?"
"Let's find out," I said, reaching for the handle.
[Stream is Live]
"Hello everyone! Welcome back! We just had the most amazing adventure in the Data World, and now... we are heading somewhere mysterious. Something ancient!"
I pushed the heavy stone door open. It didn't make a sound, just moved with the weight of history.
The moment we stepped through, the air changed instantly.
It became hot. Dry. And filled with a bright, golden light.
I opened my eyes and gasped.
We were standing on top of a massive sand dune, looking out over an endless ocean of sand. The desert stretched as far as the eye could see, with waves of golden dunes that looked like they were frozen in time. The sun was blazing high in the sky, but it wasn't uncomfortable—it felt warm and energizing.
In the distance, towering over the landscape, were massive structures. Pyramids made of white stone, temples with tall pillars, and statues of giants that were half buried in the sand.
"Whoa..." I breathed out, shielding my eyes slightly. "Minna-san... look at this. It's like we traveled back thousands of years. Or maybe to another planet entirely."
[ilikecatslol6767]: OMFG IT LOOKS SO PRETTY??? THE GOLDEN SAND??? 🏜️✨
[womanizer796901]: ANCIENT EGYPT STYLE BUT FANTASY??? I LOVE THIS AESTHETIC 🐪🔱
"This realm is called Aeterna, the World of Eternal Sands," I read the information flowing into my mind. "It says here that time flows differently here. The people who live here worship the sun and the earth, and they guard ancient secrets that hold the very foundation of reality."
"Cool," Aiko said, walking down the dune. The sand was soft and warm under her boots. "Let's go check out those pyramids!"
Hana was not so sure about the sand. She jumped onto my shoulder again, trying to keep her paws clean.
We started walking across the desert. It was beautiful and peaceful. We saw strange creatures—lions with wings, giant scarabs made of gemstone, and snakes that moved across the sand leaving trails of light.
But as we got closer to the main temple in the center, the atmosphere started to change.
The bright sunlight started to dim. The warm golden color turned into a harsh, pale white. The sand started to feel... sharp. Like glass.
And then, we saw them.
Soldiers.
They were marching towards us. But they weren't alive. They were constructs made of solid rock and sand, wearing ancient armor and carrying spears and shields. Their eyes glowed with a cold, blue light.
"Stop right there," a voice echoed from everywhere. It sounded like stone grinding against stone. 'No one may enter the Sanctuary. It is sealed.'
[ilikecatslol6767]: OH NO GUARDS!!! THEY LOOK SO STRONG??? 🛡️🛡️
[womanizer796901]: WHO IS BEHIND THIS??? WHY IS IT SEALED??? 🧐🔒
"We are travelers!" I shouted, stepping forward. "We mean no harm! We just want to see what is wrong with this world!"
'Wrong?' the voice laughed coldly. 'There is nothing wrong. Everything is perfect. Everything is... preserved.'
Suddenly, the ground in front of us cracked open, and a massive figure emerged.
It was a giant warrior, easily three meters tall, wearing armor that looked like it was carved from a single diamond. He held a massive khopesh sword that glowed with dangerous energy.
"I am Guardian Set," he declared, his voice booming. "And I have frozen this world in time. No more change. No more decay. No more death. This is eternity!"
"You call this eternity?!" I argued, summoning the Primordial Emblem. "This is just a statue! You froze everyone's hearts! You took away their future!"
"Silence!" Set roared. "You are too weak to understand! Now... become stone!"
The battle began.
Set was incredibly powerful.
He swung his sword, and it wasn't just metal cutting air. It cut reality. Every swing left a trail of frozen time, turning the air solid and making it hard for us to move.
CLANG!
I blocked with a shield of wind, but the force was so strong it pushed me back meters into the sand.
"He's strong!" I gritted my teeth. "Really strong!"
Aiko tried to run circles around him, but the ground turned into quicksand wherever she stepped. Set controlled the earth itself.
"Get trapped!" Set shouted, slamming his hand onto the ground.
WHOOSH.
Walls of solid rock rose up instantly, surrounding us, creating a cage. We were trapped in an arena made of stone.
[ilikecatslol6767]: NOOOO THEY ARE TRAPPED!!! USE THE GEM OF NETWORK!!! CALL FOR HELP!!! 📞📞
[womanizer796901]: USE ALL THE POWERS!!! BREAK THE CAGE!!! 💥💥
I touched the Gem of Network on my chest. I could feel it vibrating.
'I am here,' a familiar voice whispered in my ear. It was Neko! 'I sent you a super like! Use it!'
A surge of energy flowed into me. Pink and gold light.
"Thanks Neko!" I shouted, even though she wasn't physically here right now. "I got it!"
I stood up and faced Set.
"You think freezing things makes them last forever?" I shouted, my voice loud and clear. "No! Things are precious because they change! Because they grow! Because they live!"
I raised my hands. I didn't just use one element. I used them all, but I shaped them like the ancients would.
Sun.
Sand.
Wind.
Life.
I combined the Heart of Blaze with the Core of Logic and the Gem of Truth.
"ROAR OF THE DESERT!"
I slammed my hands onto the ground.
BOOM!
A massive shockwave exploded outwards. The stone cage shattered into dust. The sand around us rose up into the air like a giant tsunami, but it was glowing with golden light.
"What?!" Set stepped back, raising his sword to block. "How can you have power over the sands?!"
"This land belongs to everyone!" I flew up into the air, surrounded by an aura of swirling sand and light. I looked like a God of the Desert. "And I won't let you imprison it!"
I controlled the sand, but I didn't use it to hurt. I used it to bind. I wrapped Set in a cocoon of soft but unbreakable sand grains, not to crush him, but to hold him still so I could talk to him.
"Listen to me!" I shouted over the wind. "You were trying to protect this world, right? You were afraid it would disappear! I understand that! But protection isn't about locking it away! It's about letting it shine!"
I poured my pure white energy into him.
The cold blue light in his eyes started to fade. The harsh white armor turned back into warm gold.
"I..." Set whispered, his body relaxing. "I was... afraid... of the end..."
"There is no end," I said softly, landing in front of him. "Only change. And change is beautiful."
Set lowered his head, bowing respectfully.
"You... are worthy. You understand the true meaning of eternity. I was wrong. I am sorry."
The danger was over.
The entire realm lit up again. The sun shone warmly, the sand turned soft and golden, and the statues that had been frozen for years started to move and come alive again.
From the top of the Great Pyramid, the Core Crystal descended. It was shaped like an Egyptian Ankh, glowing with eternal light.
'The Gem of Eternity,' the voice echoed gently. 'With this, you command the flow of time itself. You can speed up, slow down, or preserve anything you touch.'
I took the gem. It felt heavy, ancient, and incredibly powerful.
Set walked up to us, now looking much more friendly and relaxed.
"Travelers," he said. "Stay and explore. The tombs are full of history and treasure. And the food... oh, the food here is amazing. We have bread that never gets stale and honey that tastes like sunshine."
[ilikecatslol6767]: ANOTHER ORB COLLECTED!!! RIZU IS LITERALLY UNSTOPPABLE NOW 😭😭🙏
[womanizer796901]: TIME POWER??? OH MY GOD HE CAN SLOW MO EVERYTHING LMAO ⏳✨
We spent the rest of the day exploring the temples, solving fun puzzles, and eating the most delicious ancient cuisine. Hana even got a tiny golden collar that matched the theme.
Eventually, it was time to leave. We stood back at the entrance door.
"That was..." Aiko sighed, looking back at the golden pyramids. "So majestic. I feel so wise now."
"Right?" I grinned, putting the Gem of Eternity away. "We have the power of time now. Imagine what we can do next!"
I looked at the camera.
"Minna-san, we saved the Desert World! And we got stronger than ever! There is still so much more to see! Let's keep going!"
"Next stop... whatever awaits us!"
