Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Wandering

But as the slope grew steeper, Godzilla found that no matter how tightly his claws gripped the rocks, he would slip.

The rocks were like tofu blocks; merely gripping a shallow layer with his claws was not enough to support his weight.

Thus, the pits Godzilla dug while climbing became deeper.

He would only stop after digging until his arm was halfway submerged.

Until, Godzilla saw white snow!

The upper half of the entire mountain range was covered in white snow.

As the altitude increased, the temperature above became lower.

Temperature was not an obstacle for Godzilla, but he had indeed encountered a problem now.

Godzilla's normal body temperature reached several hundred degrees Celsius; such a high temperature was enough to melt the white snow just by approaching it, even before Godzilla touched it.

Initially, Godzilla did not take it to heart, until he encountered an avalanche!

Even with Godzilla's physique, facing such a natural disaster, it was difficult for him to continue climbing higher.

Endless white snow became an obstacle to his progress.

And Godzilla was somewhat annoyed by the white snow and ice chunks that smashed into him.

Who could remain calm after being hit in the face by an avalanche again and again?

An eerie blue light once again illuminated Godzilla's body, and the next second, an Atomic Breath spewed from Godzilla's mouth.

However, his target was not the white snow above, but the rocks in his line of sight!

He intended to melt straight through this mountain range!

And he happened to have the ability to do so!

With the release of the Atomic Breath, the rocks in front of him melted without even a second's resistance!

And the molten lava flowed past Godzilla.

Godzilla stopped releasing the Atomic Breath and found that a hole, about fifty meters wide and of unknown depth, had been melted in front of him.

Godzilla was not satisfied with this.

So, Godzilla slightly adjusted the Atomic Breath, making its power disperse a little, and then released it again!

And this time, Godzilla unleashed thirty percent of his internal energy in one go before stopping.

Godzilla stopped the Atomic Breath, closed his steaming mouth, and two plumes of white smoke jetted from his nostrils.

Looking at the passage, over two hundred meters in diameter, in front of him, Godzilla nodded.

Satisfied, Godzilla pulled his feet from the quickly solidifying lava and walked into this newly opened hole.

The rock walls inside the passage still had uncooled lava flowing, making the passage not so dark.

However, as time passed, the lava inside this passage began to cool and solidify, and the passage became dim, until it became pitch black.

In this dark passage, Godzilla, on the contrary, became the sole light source.

The streaks of lava-like patterns emanating from the crevices of Godzilla's skin made him look as terrifying as a demon from purgatory in this dark passage.

And Godzilla paid no attention to the dimness of the passage; as long as he could move forward, that was all that mattered.

And after an unknown amount of time, Godzilla finally saw light.

It seemed Godzilla's Atomic Breath had directly melted through this mountain range, which was not unexpected.

Unleashing thirty percent of his energy in one go was enough to bore through this not-so-wide mountain range.

Not to mention halfway up the mountain, even at the foot of the mountain, he could have bored through it.

But then again, if that was the case, why didn't he just bore a passage at the foot of the mountain? Why bother climbing halfway up?

Godzilla's body stiffened; he felt he had done something foolish, but fortunately, no one else was around to see it, otherwise he would have had to silence them.

When Godzilla stood at the mouth of the passage and looked into the distance.

Suddenly, a dark shadow pounced towards Godzilla.

Before the dark shadow could pounce on Godzilla, Godzilla spewed an Atomic Breath at it.

"Chirp~"

The dark shadow let out a miserable cry and fell downwards.

Then Godzilla saw that it was a Bird-like creature with a wingspan of at least three hundred meters; it seemed to have mistaken Godzilla for food.

Looking at the falling Bird-like creature, Godzilla turned around and then, lying on the steep mountain, slid directly down.

Anyway, he had thick skin and flesh, so he wasn't afraid of being abraded.

However, as Godzilla slid down from halfway up the mountain, he generated many sparks along the way, and some places even caught fire!

Godzilla, who quickly descended the mountain using this method, soon found the Bird-like creature he had shot down.

The Bird-like creature did not seem to be dead; it merely had one wing broken by Godzilla and could not fly.

At this moment, it was running quickly on two legs, with its broken wing dragging behind it, looking quite comical.

Seeing this, Godzilla again spat out an Atomic Breath, directly hitting the Bird-like creature's chest, killing it!

"Chirp~"

After the Bird-like creature let out its last unwilling cry, its body fell to the ground, twitched twice, and then became completely still.

A good start.

As soon as he crossed the mountain range, there was a harvest, and it was a flying species that was not small in size.

This was good news for Godzilla.

So, Godzilla began his life on the other side of this mountain range.

After an unknown amount of time, he finally ate his way across this entire world.

Although this world was full of strange and peculiar Creaturess with unique abilities, Godzilla did not find a single Creatures that could pose a threat to him.

On Land, the largest Creaturess rarely exceeded one hundred meters in height.

In the ocean, however, giant Creaturess became more numerous.

Godzilla had even encountered Creaturess several kilometers long!

However, although those Creaturess were huge, under Godzilla's Atomic Breath, most of them met with instant death.

A few large-bodied, resilient Creaturess were still easily killed by Godzilla when he increased the power of his Atomic Breath and fired several shots.

As for the strength of those giant Creaturess, Godzilla couldn't really say.

Because no Creatures was able to get close to Godzilla, let alone attack him.

And on this day, Godzilla roamed to a very familiar place on this planet.

This was a valley filled with the mist.

Various Creaturess lived in the valley, including giant Creaturess and very small ones.

The reason Godzilla found this place familiar was not because he had wandered here before, but because he detected familiar spatial fluctuations within this valley.

When Godzilla entered the valley to investigate, he indeed found a rift!

When Godzilla saw that rift, there was a massive fortress surrounding it!

It seemed that the humans from that world had not closed the rift, but instead had established an outpost in this world along that rift.
