Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Pacific Rim

Godzilla created ten embryos at the bottom of the pit, selecting genes from different species and making various adjustments.

Soon, in less than an hour, the embryos, which were originally small and inconspicuous, not even a meter in size, doubled in volume!

Godzilla carefully observed the embryos, watching them develop with his own eyes.

The embryos had formed into individual eggs covered in blood vessels, pulsating as if a heart was beating.

With each pulsation, the embryos grew a tiny bit larger.

As he watched these embryos develop, time seemed to slow down.

Soon, one embryo fully developed and tore through its egg.

It was a large snake, over ten meters long, with a body covered in scales, a terrifying large mouth, and a horn on its head.

As soon as the large snake appeared, it looked around with crimson eyes, but within a few seconds, it began to struggle violently, stirring the surrounding water.

Then, the snake flipped onto its back, its eyes wide, and it died.

The snake's sudden death stunned Godzilla.

Then, Godzilla looked at the other eggs and immediately had a bad feeling.

Surely the Creaturess in the other eggs wouldn't also—and very quickly, Godzilla's ominous premonition became Reality!

In the less than a day that followed, the Creaturess in the eggs emerged one after another, but out of the remaining nine, only two survived.

Six of the seven died shortly after birth, some croaked as soon as they broke the egg, and others died after an hour.

The last one died without even breaking the egg, becoming a stillbirth.

The two that survived had become extremely bizarre in shape.

Moreover, nearly seventy percent of their bodies were very similar to Godzilla.

It seemed that during development, the G-cells went berserk, devouring the other genes in their bodies, and that's how they ended up like this.

Godzilla estimated that if it weren't for the G-cells, the fate of these two would have been the same as their other siblings.

They wouldn't have escaped death!

Godzilla looked at these two surviving Creaturess, and he couldn't help but feel disdain.

One of these Creaturess looked like a lizard, with three dorsal fins on its back that were also coral-like.

Its body had no scales, only wrinkled skin.

The other, however, looked more like a ribbonfish.

Its body was also covered in unsightly wrinkles.

And what they both had in common was a pair of ugly, dead-fish eyes.

Among them, the lizard looked more like Godzilla.

However, it lacked any deterrent power, giving off a rather clumsy vibe.

Godzilla guessed that after those cells left his body, he lost fine control over them, which led to these unpredictable changes in the Creaturess.

Godzilla directly ordered these two to leave.

As for what these two would eventually develop into, Godzilla didn't care.

Anyway, with their ten-meter length, they would basically not encounter any danger.

After this failure, Godzilla did not give up on creating Creaturess with different appearances.

This unpredictable process, where he didn't know if an egg would survive until hatching, or if it would grow as Godzilla envisioned, was like opening a blind box, full of surprises at every turn.

So, every day, besides allocating some energy to search for other worlds, Godzilla also set aside time to create these "little darlings."

Days passed, and Godzilla created at least a thousand small Kaiju.

However, fewer than a hundred ultimately survived.

And this one-tenth survival rate was achieved only after the G-cells devoured the genes of other Creaturess, leading to the G-cells becoming dominant.

Excluding the influence of G-cells, the survival rate of those Creaturess was—zero!

This made Godzilla somewhat doubt if he lacked the talent for creating small Kaiju.

Otherwise, why did every one he created die?

Of course, if Godzilla were willing to create an organ within his own body, an organ similar to an Alien creatures ovipositor.

Then the success rate would definitely approach one hundred percent!

After all, with Godzilla's control over G-cells, it would be quite difficult to fail.

But Godzilla hesitated for less than a second before discarding this idea.

He was creating small Kaiju to pass the time, not for so-called "reproduction," so there was no need to make such a "sacrifice"!

And just as Godzilla released the eighty-second small Kaiju, which was the total number of Kaiju he had created that had survived so far.

He finally discovered a new world!

Pacific Rim!

A world of Jaeger pilotss and Kaiju!

In that world, Earth was once again targeted!

The ones targeting Earth were Alien creatures called the Precursors.

Those Alien creatures had discovered Earth a long time ago, but at that time, Earth was not suitable for the Precursors to live on, so they had to give up.

But as human civilization developed rapidly and caused severe damage to the atmosphere, Earth once again appeared in the Precursors' sights.

At this time, Earth was very close to the environment that the Precursors could adapt to.

With just a slight modification, it could become the Precursors' perfect colony!

Then, the Precursors opened a wormhole to Earth, sending Kaiju to attack Earth and, incidentally, modify the Earth's environment.

The early stages were quite smooth.

Humans used powerful weapons to kill the Kaiju, but the scattered blood of the Kaiju caused severe pollution to the surrounding environment.

And soon, as the Kaiju grew stronger, ordinary weapons could no longer inflict much damage on them, and even injured Kaiju running rampant caused more severe pollution.

As even stronger Kaiju appeared, humans had no choice but to use nuclear bombs to eliminate them.

But this was undoubtedly a case of killing eight hundred enemies while losing a thousand of one's own!

In fact, the Precursors even celebrated.

They were even happier than humans when humans used nuclear bombs to eliminate the Kaiju.

To deal with the increasing number of Kaiju, the Jaeger pilots program emerged!

Jaeger pilotss are a group of people who pilot Jaeger pilotss to hunt Kaiju.

This method of combat could cause relatively little harm when killing Kaiju.

To put it simply, it meant piloting a Jaeger pilots and beating the Kaiju to death!

By causing internal bleeding to kill the Kaiju, they minimized destruction!

Regardless of whether this method was reliable or not, the power of the Jaeger pilotss was immense!

Various black-tech weapons and exquisite combat techniques indeed killed many Kaiju.

Precisely because of this, the Jaeger pilots pilots became heroes revered by thousands and stars worshipped by countless people!
