Knock, knock, knock... The closed door opened a crack, and Luna saw the White-haired girl standing outside through the gap.
How long has it been since she left? Why is she back already?
"Does Malanie need something?" But since she was already at the door, Luna couldn't exactly slam it in her face, could she?
Her choosing to use the front door was a courtesy; if she hadn't been so polite, she would probably be in Her Majesty's room by now.
"Borrowing some soy sauce. I have something to discuss with Leticia." Melanie's tone was still devoid of any fluctuation, just like a dead person's.
"Her Majesty is in her room..." Luna opened the door. The maid was currently wearing an apron, seemingly preparing dinner. "As for soy sauce, I have a new bottle here. You can just take it, Malanie."
"Okay." Melanie nodded, but her attention clearly wasn't on the soy sauce.
Although, borrowing soy sauce was indeed the legitimate reason she had come down this time.
Because Yori had suddenly realized she was out of soy sauce halfway through cooking, Melanie had been sent to borrow some.
Originally, Yori had planned to come herself, but upon hearing about it, Melanie simply stated that she would handle such a small matter, so Yori let her older sister come instead.
As for why Melanie was actually here, it was naturally to consult the magic master, Leticia.
And also to return the book she had taken that morning.
"Oh my god, why is the enemy Assassin right in our Mage's face? Where's the Scout? Scout, what on earth are you doing?"
"Wow, Mage, where's your Fire Ring... Why would you bring Fireball?!"
"Archer, aim better! I have no idea who your bullets are even hitting!"
In the room, Leticia was hurling "fragrant" words at her teammates. She couldn't understand why these guys were performing even worse than last time.
"Ah, we finally won." After winning the match, Leticia collapsed into her chair as if drained of strength. Covering her face, she said weakly, "Let's stop here for today. If I keep playing, I'm afraid I'll have a heart attack."
"Sorry, Sister Luna, we troubled you again today." The team members apologized to Leticia one after another, knowing their performance hadn't been great.
If it hadn't been for Leticia turning the tide at the last moment, they would have lost a lot of rank points today.
"Sigh, keep practicing. Our team's strength really can't keep up right now," Leticia said helplessly. In the lower ranks, she could indeed carry the whole team alone, but at this rank, she was starting to feel overwhelmed.
So, "Where's the team leader? What about the external help she mentioned?"
"The team leader didn't come online today. She said in the group chat that she accidentally fell down the stairs and injured her hand, so she won't be able to play for a few days," said a member who frequently hung out in the group chat.
"Oh, I see." Leticia nodded understandingly. With something like that happening, there really was nothing to be done. "The team leader is way too careless."
She didn't check the guild chat often, so she was always the last to know about such things.
"Sigh, that's it for today. I'm going to eat. Goodbye, everyone."
"Goodbye, Sister Luna."
"See you, Sister Luna."
Exiting the game and taking off her headphones, Leticia turned back to look at Melanie, who had been standing behind her for a minute. "What is it?"
"I need your help."
"Huh?" Leticia raised an eyebrow. Was this girl becoming dependent on her? A favor every single day?
"Leticia... she made a friend."
"Isn't that a good thing? You called her a shut-in, and now she's brought a friend home. It's perfectly normal." Leticia couldn't understand why Melanie would come to her for something like this.
Melanie shook her head. "That friend is of a different race, and they're using Disguise Magic."
Melanie wouldn't care much about an ordinary friend, or even an ability-user friend, but a friend from another race who was using Disguise Magic was something she had to pay attention to.
"My understanding of magic isn't deep; I can't see through that person's true form," Melanie said calmly. "The magic they're using is quite advanced."
She could see through ordinary Disguise Magic, but she couldn't see through Luca's.
She only knew that Luca was using Disguise Magic, but she couldn't tell what Luca's appearance was like beneath the mist.
"Even you can't see it?" Leticia sat up straight. Although Melanie was a complete magic idiot, ordinary Disguise Magic shouldn't be able to fool her eyes.
"I could if I went all out, but I don't want Leticia to notice anything unusual," Melanie explained. If she were to get serious, the scene would be enough to change the very heavens and earth. "Do you have a quicker, more discreet method?"
When it came to Yori's safety, Melanie and Leticia immediately stood on the same side.
Leticia disliked Melanie, but she quite liked the girl Yori.
So, she would help with this favor.
"Of course I do. Let me look for it." Leticia got up and ran to a box in the corner of the room to start rummaging through it.
A few minutes later, she happily held up a small box. "Found it!"
