Chapter 33
NIKOLAJ'S POV
A stray thought made me grin as I stood before the bathroom mirror. Beyond the fact that Georgia was undeniably beautiful, there was something almost endearing about her lying to my face. The way her skin flushed a deep pink and her dark, expressive eyes darted everywhere but at me was fascinating.
She was a terrible liar, and she knew it, yet she was incredibly stubborn. Even though it was obvious I'd seen right through her, she refused to back down.
It made me want to solve the puzzle of her. Most women would view a night with a man of my standing as a golden ticket—a rare opportunity they'd cling to with both hands. They'd want to relive it, talk about it, or even invent a pregnancy just to stay in my orbit.
